| C.J. Spiller activated off IR/designated to return|
Readiness for Week 16 will be determined in practice
By: Doug Orth | Mon Dec 15, 4:15 pm
|Bills HC Doug Marrone: C.J. Spiller (clavicle) is cleared to return and will be added to the active roster. His readiness for return will be gauged this week. (Buffalo Bills on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Even though the Bills are fighting for a playoff spot, it seems unlikely that Spiller will see much - if any - action in Week 16 after missing the previous seven games. Expect another heavy workload for Fred Jackson for at least one more week, with Bryce Brown, Anthony Dixon and maybe Spiller pitching in against Oakland.
| Fred Jackson expects to play in Week 12|
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 17, 3:30 pm
|Bills HC Doug Marrone said last week that if their Week 11 game was on Sunday instead of Thursday night, he felt Fred Jackson would’ve been able to play in the game. on Thursday night however, he was scratched after tweaking his injured groin in practice Tuesday. Now Jackson fully anticipates being ready to go this coming Sunday against the Jets. The veteran running back also said the plan was to play in both the Chiefs and Dolphins games despite the quick turnaround of five days between them. (BuffaloBIlls.com)|
FFToday's Take: Jackson said "the plan was to play both games", but he had a setback in practice last Tuesday. Expect a questionable tag this week. If he can play, he'll probably be a low-end RB2 in PPR and flex option in standard leagues in a difficult matchup. Jackson has juicy matchups against Cleveland (Week 13) and Oakland (Week 16) down the stretch. Expect Bryce Brown to continue in C.J. Spiller's old role while Anthony Dixon returns to his No. 3 role.

|Not able to take the field tonight, but I’ll be cheering on as we defend the Blue & Red. (Fred Jackson via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Fred Jackson broke the news on his Twitter account. Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown will share running back duties with Brown being the best option in PPR leagues. Both are risky FLEX plays against a solid Miami defense.
| Not looking good for Fred Jackson on TNF|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 13, 8:07 am
|I'm told Bills RB Fred Jackson almost certainly won't play tonight because of groin injury. Recovery from Sunday has taken too long. (Tim Graham via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: While nothing is official, it appears Jackson may be on the Inactive list tonight when the Bills visit the Dolphins. Jackson was limited last week against the Chiefs and hasn't had enough time to recover given the short week. Expect, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown to handle duties at running back position with Brown being the desired play in PPR leagues.
| Fred Jackson practices for second straight day|

|Fred Jackson is out here and practicing for the second straight day. (Joe Buscaglia via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Jackson is coming off a groin injury and it still remains to be seen if he'll play on Sunday but he's certainly trending the right direction. If he sits, Anthony Dixon would get the start and share time with Bryce Brown.
| Fred Jackson not practicing on Monday|
Halfway through expected 2-4 week recovery for groin injury
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 3, 3:10 pm
|Bills RB Fred Jackson missed Buffalo’s Week 8 game with a groin injury suffered in Week 7 against Minnesota. He’s been getting treatment and rehabbing throughout the bye week and is hoping to return sooner rather than later.
Bills HC Doug Marrone will provide an update this afternoon on Jackson’s chances to return to the lineup this week. (BuffaloBills.com)|
FFToday's Take: Bills beat writer Joe Buscaglia tweeted that Jackson did not practice on Monday, which is hardly surprising for a 33-year-old running back just over two weeks into an injury recovery that is expected to take up to four weeks. Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon will continue to hold down the fort in his absence, but Jackson has high-end RB2 potential down the stretch in a C.J. Spiller-less backfield.
|Expect RBBC from Bills in Week 8|
Dixon says he and Bryce will "do it together"
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 22, 1:43 pm
|Anthony Dixon: "I ran out there first today, but me and Bryce are gonna kinda do it together, as a combination." (Mike Rodak via Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Dixon ran with the first team in practice on Wednesday but it sounds like the team will take a RBBC approach on Sunday. They Jets have been tough against the run so far this season giving up just 15.2 FPts on average to the position. Dixon and Bryce Brown will be FLEX considerations in Week 8.

Spiller likely out for the year with broken collarbone
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 19, 8:30 pm
|C.J. Spiller's shoulder and emotions were wrecked. Ten minutes earlier, Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood helped running back Fred Jackson limp off the field with a groin injury. Spiller's collar bone reportedly was broken. The Bills could be without Spiller and Jackson for a long time. (Buffalo News)|
FFToday's Take: Spiller will have surgery on his collarbone and will likely miss the remainder of the season. Jackson will have an MRI on his groin on Monday. He's likely out for Week 8 and the Bills have a bye in Week 9. Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon will be the top two running backs next week and perhaps for the next few weeks until Jackson can return.
