|Will NYJ turn to Michael Vick?|
Geno Smith's mistakes may cost him starting job
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Sep 23, 10:15 am
|Geno Smith had his second multi-turnover game of the season, punctuated by a nightmarish pick-six 32 seconds in that set the tone in a 27-19 loss to the Bears. Smithís second interception came in the end zone on an ill-advised pass intended for David Nelson. It was just another blow on a night filled with self-inflicted wounds that dropped Ryanís team to 1-2, and has coaches considering it may be time to plug in Michael Vick. (New York Daily News)|
FFToday's Take: Ryan didnít rule out the possibility that Vick, who played one snap against the Bears, could become more involved. From a fantasy perspective, it's not a terrible idea to grab Vick as a medium-upside stash in deeper formats and two-QB leagues.
| Hamstring keeps Decker out of practice Wed.|
Rex Ryan optimistic that Decker will play MNF
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 17, 7:04 pm
|FLORHAM PARK - Though Jets wide receiver Eric Decker did not practice Wednesday, because he tweaked his hamstring in Sundayís loss at Green Bay, he said it was "a good sign" that he was able to do some jogging in the rehab area of the practice field, under the supervision of trainers. Moreover, Jets coach Rex Ryan sounded optimistic that both Decker and cornerback Dee Milliner will play Monday night against the Bears.
FFToday's Take: Through two weeks of action the Jets are ranked 29th in offensive passing yards per game while the Bears defense is giving up under 200 yards through the air. Considering the fact that the Jets play on Monday night fantasy owners should play it safe by going with a different option for Week 3. Decker owners willing to roll the dice may want to consider picking up Jeremy Kerley or David Nelson in case the Jets keep their top receiving threat on the sideline.

Jets wideout bothered by hamstring injury in preseason
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 15, 9:00 am
|The New York Jets suffered a potentially costly injury Sunday, as wide receiver Eric Decker exited in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. It's the same hamstring that nagged Decker throughout training camp, except this time the injury is believed to be more severe. He will have tests Monday, presumably an MRI. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Decker is the key receiver for the Jets so his loss would be a significant blow to the offense. Jeremy Kerley is operating as the No.2 wideout. David Nelson would likely slide into a starting role if Decker misses any time.
