|Lions release Reggie Bush|
Create $1.7 million in cap room
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Feb 25, 6:22 pm
|The Lions released Reggie Bush today in a cost-cutting move that will free up cap room to help the team with its chief off-season pursuit, re-signing All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. By cutting Bush, who was due a $3.25 million base salary this year and had a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract, they created another $1.7 million in cap room. (Detroit Free Press)|
FFToday's Take: Bush was signed by the Lions in 2013 and led the team in rushing with 1006 yards and added 506 yards receiving. He disappointed last season, battling ankle injuries the final ten weeks and never was a real fantasy factor. Joique Bell and Theo Riddick are now atop the RB depth chart in Detroit.

Dealing with Achilles' strain
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 25, 7:30 pm
|HC Jim Caldwell didn't offer any updates on the injury status of Joique Bell (Achilles). Asked if he'll play Sunday Caldwell said "we'll see". (Tim Twentyman on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This story gets a mention because the team's official website called Bell a full participant in practice on Thursday, suggesting Bell is on track to play against the Packers for the NFC North title. Assuming he is a full-go again on Friday, Bell should be expected for his usual 15-20 touches.

Tweaked ankle in week 13
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Dec 10, 3:07 pm
|ALLEN PARK -- Reggie Bush played a complete game for the first time in more than two months.
Three days later, it looks like he's on the mend again.
The tailback missed practice Wednesday as the Detroit Lions (9-4) began preparations for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings (6-7).
Bush had eight carries for 26 yards Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, plus four catches for eight yards. He said he was happy to finally finish a game, but also said he tweaked his ankle, which probably is what kept him from practicing.
FFToday's Take: Joique Bell has touched the rock over twenty times in each of Detroit's past three games. He should continue to lead the way for the Lions' rushing game as Reggie Bush nurses a sore ankle. Bush's fragile ways make him very risky to trust during the final weeks of the fantasy season.
