49ers RB gets opportunity in season finale
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Jan 1, 7:00 am
|Shaun Draughn is in line for his seventh career start on Sunday when the 49ers close out the regular season against the Seattle Seahawks at Leviís Stadium. Hyde is out with a MCL sprain of his left knee. (CSN Bay Area)|
FFToday's Take: It's tough to get excited about Draughn considering DuJuan Harris will likely see action as well and the matchup against the Seahawks isn't promising. Draughn will be a volume-based Flex option in Week 17.
| Carlos Hyde's status still in question|
Wearing non-contact jersey Thursday
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 10, 2:00 pm
|As he has for the last several days, 49ers running back Carlos Hyde took non-contact reps with the offensive unit Thursday but it still remains to be seen if heíll be active and available for Sundayís game against the Arizona Cardinals. (San Jose Mercury News)|
FFToday's Take: The 49ers have said they'll likely make a decision on Hyde's status on Saturday. If he sits, DuJuan Harris would likely lead the team in running back touches. Arizona has been better than average against fantasy running backs making Harris only a Flex play option in Week 10.
| Gametime decision for Carlos Hyde|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 6, 8:30 am
|49ers expect RB Carlos Hyde's status to be a pre-game decision, but it does not sound promising that he will be active, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Hyde has been on the wrong side of the questionable tag all week and it seems to be a longshot for him to suit up. If the doesn't play, we could see a three-man committee of DuJuan Harris, Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn at running back for the 49ers with Harris having the most fantasy value.

RB still sore and unsure about Week 9 status
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 3, 8:15 pm
|Carlos Hyde indicated he has sprained AC joint; he's still sore and doesn't know if he'll play Sunday. (Eric Branch on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Sprained AC joints tend to lead to multi-week absences, so it is likely San Francisco's Week 8 bye didn't give him enough time to heal. OC Curtis Modkins stated earlier in the week that he felt DuJuan Harris "earned more opportunities" after posting 57 total yards on 13 touches in Week 7, so he should be the target for desperate Hyde owners looking for a handcuff. Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn will also steal snaps if Hyde misses this week, making all three backs low-end options at best.
| Carlos Hyde still in non-contact jersey|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 3, 2:00 pm
|Kelly: Carlos Hyde is still in non-contact jersey, hasn't taken any hits on shoulder. Sunday status TBD, will monitor end of week. (49ers on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Coming off a bye, most expected Hyde to be ready for Week 9 but as of Thursday his status is in doubt. This may be gamesmanship by the 49ers but Hyde owners should have plan B in place. DuJuan Harris, Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn are next up on the depth chart.
