2016 Outlook
Expectations were high for the fourth-year wide receiver in 2015, but injuries and a plethora of other options in Arizona didn’t quite allow him to live up to what many fantasy owners hoped for. When he was on the field, Floyd showed us glimpses of greatness. He finished with five 100-plus yard games and scored six touchdowns.

Floyd is now entering his fifth NFL season and more importantly the final year of his contract. We’ve seen other players have huge years in contract seasons, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising if Floyd put up another big season in 2016 so long as he’s able to stay healthy. Floyd finished the season with at least 100 yards and/or a touchdown in seven of his final 10 games. He also scored twice in the playoffs. If he can continue that kind of momentum, there’s no reason why Floyd won’t finish as the Cardinals’ most productive wide receiver.

Carson Palmer confirms he'll play in 2017
Veteran QB a go for his 15th season
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Feb 9, 4:00 pm

Arizona Cardinals
After contemplating retirement for the past month, Carson Palmer informed the team on Thursday that he will play this upcoming season, his fifth with the Cardinals. After contemplating retirement for the past month, Carson Palmer informed the team on Thursday that he will play this upcoming season, his fifth with the Cardinals. (Arizona Republic)

FFToday's Take: It was a longshot for Palmer to retire, especially after Larry Fitzgerald announced last week that he would be back in 2017. Palmer's salary ($15.5 million) becomes guaranteed on Friday. The Cardinals offense struggled in 2016 thanks to offensive line woes and poor play from WR Michael Floyd. Palmer finished 13th among fantasy quarterback in FPts per game.

Michael Floyd expected to be inactive
A healthy scratch, other areas of need
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Feb 5, 8:00 am

New England Patriots
Barring an unexpected change, I'm told Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd will be inactive for Super Bowl LI as the team doesn't have the luxury to carry five players at the position on the 46-man game-day roster. It needs the spots for other areas, such as special teams and goal-line situations. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Patriots will roll with Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola and Malcolm Mitchell at the wide receiver position.

Injury Malcolm Mitchell expected to be inactive
Pats WR listed as questionable

New England Patriots
Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell, listed as questionable for tonight's Divisional Playoff with knee injury, will not play vs Texans, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Mitchell's knee injury will likely land him on the inactive list. Expect Michael Floyd and Danny Amendola to be active and fill the secondary receiver roles for the Patriots. Neither will be viable fantasy options.

Injury Malcolm Mithchell doubtful, knee injury
Not expected to play against Miami
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Dec 31, 7:00 am

New England Patriots
Rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell is doubtful after both players missed practice Friday. (NESN)

FFToday's Take: Mitchell missed practice Friday with a knee injury and while likely be inactive on Sunday. With his absence, expect Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and Michael Floyd to be the top three wideouts for Tom Brady. Hogan is worthy of Flex consideration.
