2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
A first-round pick back in 2012, Michael Floyd has long been a player who has been expected to break out at some point. But the expectations were never higher than heading into 2014. Floyd was coming off of his first 1,000-yard season and looked like he was ready to take over as the Cardinals’ next great receiver. Floyd picked up where he left off the season before with two 100-yard games in his first three contests. Unfortunately, he did not get back to the century mark until Week 17. While Floyd was still the Cardinals’ leading receiver, 2014 was a certain step back for him, as he saw his receptions drop 18 and his yards drop by 200 from the previous season. Of course, it didn’t help that the Cardinals had some of the worst quarterback play in the league once Palmer went down, but it’s still going to be hard for fantasy owners to forget the disappointing performances, particularly in the second half of the season. Floyd broke 60 yards just once from Weeks 9 through 16 and caught just two total touchdown passes during that stretch.

The skills are still there, but with Larry Fitzgerald still considered the top receiver on the depth chart and second-year wideout John Brown creeping into the discussion, Floyd will have to impress if he wants to get back into the good graces of the Cardinals coaching staff and especially fantasy owners. Perhaps worst yet for Floyd’s fantasy value, however, is he failed to show much chemistry with Palmer. Three of his biggest games of the season came with backup quarterbacks who seemed to target him more often while Palmer seemed more in sync with Brown and Fitzgerald. Thankfully, Floyd will not cost nearly as much to acquire this season and could be a good source of mid-round fantasy production at the wide receiver position.

Injury Michael Floyd misses another practice
Knee injury
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 31, 7:50 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Coach Bruce Arians told reporters Wednesday that WR Michael Floyd, pass rusher Dwight Freeney and OLB Markus Golden did not participate and that they each would be monitored leading up to Sunday’s regular-season finale against the visiting Seattle Seahawks. Floyd, who has went over the 100-yard receiving mark five times in his past seven games, is dealing with a pull of some sort behind the back of his knee, Arians said. “(Floyd) rehabbed well today, so hopefully we’ll get some work out of him before the week is over,” Arians said. (Arizona Republic)

FFToday's Take: Floyd ripped the Seahawks for seven catches, 113 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10 in Seattle, so his potential absence would be a big deal in the rematch for a team trying to stay in the race for the top overall seed in the NFC. He has to be considered questionable for now, at least until more information becomes available.

Injury Michael Floyd, John Brown practice on Friday
Both should play in Week 12

Arizona Cardinals
With WRs John Brown and Michael Floyd out there again today for practice, looks like both should be available this week too. #AZvsSF (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Floyd sat out last week with his hamstring injury but has five TDs in the last four games he's played. With John Brown also active, both players are legitimate WR3's with big upside against a 49ers defense giving up the 5th-most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Injury Michael Floyd to be limited at best
Missed practice all week with hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 22, 8:00 am

Arizona Cardinals
Cards expect WR John Brown (hamstring-Q) to play vs. Cincy; not as optimistic about WR Michael Floyd (hammy-Q), who at best will be limited. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Floyd didn't practice all week and is a candidate to be inactive. Even if he does play tonight against the Bengals, he won't be a recommended fantasy option. John Brown is in play but his "decoy" the last two games makes him a risky proposition as well.

Cardinals receivers battling hamstring injuries

Arizona Cardinals
Arians says Floyd will be game time call. Floyd experienced enough to play without practicing. John brown also game time. (Kent Somers on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Michael Floyd (hamstring) hasn't practiced all week. It's likely he'll end up on the Inactive list. John Brown (hamstring) has played in the last two games but has been nothing more than a decoy. Jaron Brown will see more targets if either one of the starter sits.

Meanwhile, Michael Floyd, Jonathan Cooper were on the side in baseball caps. (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Floyd missed Wednesday's practice as well. We won't know Floyd's true availability until later in the week but owners should be looking for other options in Week 11.

Cardinals receivers dealing with hamstring injuries
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 18, 12:45 pm

Arizona Cardinals
In open part of AZCardinals practice, I didn't see G Iupati, G Cooper, WR Michael Floyd, WR John Brown, DT Redding, LB Markus Golden. #CINvsAZ (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Floyd injured his hamstring late in Week 10 and was replaced by Jaron Brown. Both are likely to be listed as Questionable this week.
