2014 Outlook
Depth Chart
A promising rookie campaign in 2012 allowed Dwayne Allen to emerge as the team's most productive fantasy tight end. Coming into last year, Allen was expected to be a big part of Andrew Luck's success. That script was rewritten, however, after Allen sustained a hip injury in Indianapolis' season opener. Allen was healthy enough to get back on the field for the team's mini camps and should make a full recovery by the time the 2014 season kicks off. Consequently, the hype surrounding Allen's use in the offense is building and fantasy owners should keep a keen eye on his progress during training camp. Could Allen find himself in a situation like Denver's Julius Thomas a season ago and break free from an expected glut on the team's depth chart to become a dynamic threat in high scoring offense? While it is unlikely that he'll be drafted among the top 10 at the position in fantasy drafts, it may be worth a late-round pick to find out.

Injury Dwayne Allen "trending in right direction"
Team unsure when TE will return to practice
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 24, 4:50 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Colts HC Chuck Pagano on TE Dwayne Allen: “He’s trending in the right direction but he’s going to be day-to-day.” Doesn’t know if Allen will practice. (Kevin Bowen on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With Andrew Luck taking as many hits and sacks as ever and Coby Fleener (predictably) coming up short in the box score in Week 12, the Colts need Allen back ASAP. If he can make it back this week from his ankle injury, he has a very favorable matchup against Washington.

Injury TE Dwayne Allen ruled out
Ankle injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 21, 1:04 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters that tight end Dwayne Allen will not play Week 12 against the Jaguars. The team officially ruled him out for the game, per the team's official website. (CBS Sports)

FFToday's Take: The Colts tight end missed practice all week with an ankle injury. His absence means Coby Fleener moves into TE1 discussion. He faces a Jaguars defense giving up the 11th-most fantasy points to tight ends.

Injury Dwayne Allen sits Thursday, ankle injury
Back-to-back missed practices for Colts' TE
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 20, 12:05 pm

Indianapolis Colts
No Dwayne Allen again at Colts practice today. My money's on him sitting out Sunday. (Zak Keefer via Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Allen (sprained ankle) missed practice on Wednesday as well. He'll need to get on the field Friday in order to have to play Sunday. If he sits, Coby Fleener moves into TE1 territory facing a Jaguars defense giving up the 11th-most fantasy points to tight ends.

Injury Ahmad Bradshaw likely done for season
Fractured fibula
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 17, 6:40 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw's season is in serious jeopardy after he suffered what the Colts believe to be a broken ankle against the New England Patriots on Sunday night, a league source told The Indianapolis Star. (Indianapolis Star)

FFToday's Take: Beat writer Mike Chappell later revealed on Twitter that Bradshaw's injury is a fractured fibula, meaning a trip to season-ending IR is imminent. It is a crushing blow to the Colts, who lose an integral part of the running game and the short-passing game in the process. Trent Richardson should move into more of a lead-back role while Dwayne Allen and Reggie Wayne should see their red-zone opportunities increase.
