Melvin Gordon likely out Week 16
Farrow, Hillman expected to work in tandem again
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 22, 7:00 pm
Chargers RB Melvin Gordon isn't practicing today. Looks like he'll be ruled out for game Saturday against the Browns. RBs Kenneth Farrow and Ronnie Hillman to play. (Tom Krasovic on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: No surprise here, and it is fair to wonder if the Chargers will bother bringing him back for Week 17 either. Farrow disappointed in a plus-spot against Oakland last week, but he'll have the matchup of a lifetime in a game San Diego should control throughout. A case can even be made to play Hillman as a low-end flex in really deep leagues.
Melvin Gordon misses practice Wednesday
Knee, hip injury

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee, hip) not practicing today. Yet to this week. Saturday would mark his second game missed to injuries. (Michael Gehlken on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Gordon is dealing with knee and hip injuries. In his place last week, Kenneth Farrow and Ronnie Hillman combined for 24 touches and 87 total yards with no touchdowns against the Raiders. Even against the Browns, its going to be difficult to trust Farrow in a fantasy championship of DFS against.
Melvin Gordon not expected to play
Could return at some point this season

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hip) is not expected to play Sunday vs. Raiders, per source. Remains a chance Gordon will play again this season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Gordon left on a cart last week but it's believed the injury is not as severe as rolling off the field would indicate. Kenneth Farrow and Ronnie Hillman should split carries this week against the Raiders with Farrow being the lead back.
Melvin Gordon "day-to-day"
Nursing hip strain and knee sprain
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Dec 12, 6:35 pm
Melvin Gordon suffered a hip strain and knee sprain Sunday in the first quarter of a 28-16 loss to the Panthers, coach Mike McCoy announced in a press conference. He called Gordon "day to day,” leaving the chance alive the second-year pro could return at some point during the final three games. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
FFToday's Take: He's more likely week-to-week, but it appears as if he's got a shot to make it back before the end of the regular season. Kenneth Farrow is almost certain to handle the early-down work in his absence, while Ronnie Hillman should be the primary third-down back. Both will be desperation RB3 options at best in Week 15 and will probably take a back seat in a likely pass-heavy game plan against the Raiders.
Vikings have "no idea" if AP will return
On IR following meniscus surgery

Mike Zimmer on if Adrian Peterson will play at any time this season: "I have no idea." (Chris Tomasson on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It may be about time for owners with deep benches to give up hope on Peterson, who is running out of time to give himself at contributing this season. Minnesota isn't giving him much reason to rush back either, as the Vikings' offensive line is getting outplayed on a weekly basis. Jerick McKinnon, Matt Asiata and Ronnie Hillman will mostly likely finish the season out in a three-headed committee.
