| Willie Snead wasn't heralded when he came into the league as a rookie in 2015 but he's received at least 100 targets in each of his first two seasons as a pro. He will be one of several players tasked with replacing the production of the departed Brandin Cooks and that should encourage fantasy owners to bump him up their cheatsheet a few notches. A mere ten percent increase in production would make him a valuable WR3 most weeks on his way to his first 1,000 yard season. His 69 percent catch rate makes him more even more attractive in PPR formats. Where the floor appears to be his biggest asset, his ceiling isn't nearly as high. There are plenty options near the goal in New Orleans so his lack of touchdowns will prevent him from cracking the top 25 receivers despite playing in a fantasy friendly offense.
| Saints add Michael Thomas to injury report|
Questionable with hamstring injury

|#Saints WR Michael Thomas has been added to the injury report. He’s questionable for the Falcons game with a hamstring injury. (Larry Holder on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Yikes. The good news is Thomas wasn't ruled out giving him a chance to play tomorrow against the Falcons. The Saints / Falcons play at 1 pm eastern so we should know well in advance if Thomas is going to sit. If he does sit, expect the Saints to ride their running backs with increased looks for Ted Ginn Jr. Brandon Coleman and Willie Snead.
| Ted Ginn Jr. expected to be inactive|
Increased role for Willie Snead likely
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Dec 17, 7:30 am
|Per source with knowledge of the situation, Saints WR Ted Ginn Jr. won't play today and will be ruled inactive. Expect WRs TommyLee Lewis and Willie Snead to play a bigger role. (Jane Slater on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Ginn was limited in practice this week but is sounds like he will be inactive giving a bigger role for Willie Snead and Tommylee Lewis. Neither player is a fantasy viable option however given the Saints above-average rushing attack. The Saints are a 16-point favorite at home against the Jets.
|Willie Snead to see role increase?|
HC says team will rely on WR down the stretch
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 30, 4:35 pm
|Sean Payton said Willie Snead is someone the Saints will rely on down the stretch. Hoped to get him more snaps yesterday. (New Orleans Times-Picayune)|
FFToday's Take: Snead saw four snaps in Week 8 while fellow slot option Brandon Coleman managed 48, which makes Payton's comments sound somewhat disingenuous. As hard as it may be for the owners who have stashed him all season long, they may want to consider cutting the cord if they need the roster spot. With that said, there are very few receivers left on the wire that will have the kind of impact Snead could if Payton is being honest.
