| Geronimo Allison out indefinitely|
May require core muscle surgery
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 5, 5:05 pm
|Packers HC Mike McCarthy said WR Geronimo Allison saw core injury specialist William Meyer in Philadelphia and he has a significant injury. Meyer operated on Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins in recent years and sounds like he will be operating on Allison. (Tom Silverstein on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Allison emerged as a viable fantasy WR3 in September before a hamstring injury sidelined him for two games. He was limited in his return to action in Week 8 and promptly suffered a groin injury in practice last week, and it appears serious enough to potentially end his season. Marquez Valdes-Scantling had already emerged as a big-time playmaker in his absence and should be considered a high-upside WR3 as the likely starter opposite Davante Adams moving forward.

Injured in practice Thursday
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 2, 11:00 am
|Mike McCarthy said WR Geronimo Allison sustained a groin injury in practice yesterday, and "we'll see where he is tomorrow." McCarthy said he feels good about C Corey Linsley's availability for Sunday night at New England. Linsley was added to the injury report Wednesday with a knee issue. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: The Packers practice on Saturday so we should get an update on his status tomorrow. If he's unable to play Sunday night, that would be more reps for Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Randall Cobb.

Hamstring injuries for both

|McCarthy says based off Wednesday's padded practice, he believes Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are on pace to play Sunday in LA. Same for CB Jaire Alexander. (Ryan Wood on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Both Cobb and Allison were limited in Wednesday's practice but it sounds like they've shown enough to be active in Week 8. Their ability to play will cap the upside of Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
| Packers could be down Cobb, Allison on MNF|
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 15, 4:30 pm
|Packers’ WRs Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are “likely to be inactive” vs 49ers tonight on Monday Night Football, per ESPN's Lisa Salters. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)|
FFToday's Take: It means the spellchecker's favorite trio of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown and J'Mon Moore could see plenty of run in a favorable matchup. Davante Adams figures to see at least 10 targets and Jimmy Graham should be busy as well, although this game could be a great opportunity for Green Bay to get its ground game working in an effort to give Aaron Rodgers an opportunity to avoid another setback with his knee.

Packers' receivers dealing with hamstring injuries
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Oct 13, 12:45 pm
|Mike McCarthy is leaving the door open for WRs Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison (both with hamstring) to play Monday night vs. the 49ers but it's not a certainty by any means. He said he'll give them right up until Monday's pre-game workouts before inactives are due. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: Fantasy owners of Cobb and Allison should have plan B in place. Unfortunately, the Packers play Monday night, so unless you have Marquez Valdes-Scantling on your bench, you might have to go with a Sunday option.

Packer receivers take part in Thursday walkthrough
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 11, 1:10 pm
|Receivers Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (concussion, hamstring) practiced Thursday inside the Don Hutson Center. Both took reps in a non-padded walkthrough, as well as individual drills. Allison cleared the concussion protocol but wasn’t expected to practice because of his hamstring injury. The Packers' padded practice Friday will be a better indicator of whether Cobb and Allison can play Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers, but Thursday was a positive sign for their progression. (Packersnews.com)|
FFToday's Take: We'll have a better idea on the status of Cobb and Allison on Friday afternoon. With both out in Week 5, Marquez Valdes-Scantling got the start and produced a 7-68-1 line on 10 targets.
| Allison misses practice Saturday|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 7, 8:00 am
|Packers WR Geronimo Allison did not practice Saturday, per source. That means he hasn’t practiced at all this week. Not only has he been working through concussion protocol, a hamstring injury was added late in the week. His status for today remains Questionable. #GBvsDET (Stacy Dales on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Packers are one of the few teams that practice Saturday. It sounds like Allison will end up on the inactive list today leaving Davante Adams and rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling as the starting wide receivers. The Packers could choose to focus on Adams, tight end Jimmy Graham and running back Ty Montgomery in the passing game.
| Davante Adams expected to play|
Late-week addition to injury report
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 7, 1:30 am
|Packers’ WR Davante Adams, listed as questionable for Sunday with a calf injury, is expected to play vs. the Lions, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Adams was added to the injury report on Friday but it sounds like he's going to suit up on Sunday. With Randall Cobb out and Geronimo Allison still waiting to clear concussion protocol, Adams should be a focal point for Aaron Rodgers against the Lions.
| Cobb out, Adams will practice Saturday|
Hope for Allison
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 5, 12:45 pm
|Randall Cobb (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday, coach Mike McCarthy said. Davante Adams (calf) will practice on Saturday, and there's hope for Geronimo Allison (concussion). (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: We'll need to follow Adams' status throughout the weekend but we should know if he's going to play or not well before the early games kickoff on Sunday. If Adams does sit, rookie wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will see an increased role.
| Packers having issues at WR|
Adams, Cobb, Allison miss practice Thursday
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 4, 12:45 pm
|Packers’ HC Mike McCarthy said Davante Adams won’t practice today due to a calf injury and neither will Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (concussion). So Packers down their top three WRs today and maybe beyond. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Adams was injured Wednesday in practice meaning the Packers could be without their top 3 receivers in Week 5. We'll have to see who is able to go in practice Friday but WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling and RB Ty Montgomery could be more involved in the offense depending on who's able to suit up against the Lions on Sunday.
| Randall Cobb "not close" to playing Week 4|
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 1, 5:20 pm
|It wasn't a close call for Randall Cobb and his hamstring last week. "As much as I would've wanted to, I couldn't be out there running at full speed," Cobb said Monday. "So it's no reason to take that risk." As for Sunday at Detroit, Cobb said: "It's feeling better. I made strides the past couple days and hopefully I can continue to make those strides." (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)|
FFToday's Take: Geronimo Allison suffered a concussion in Week 4 as well, leaving the Packers with Davante Adams and rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling as Aaron Rodgers' top two receivers. Cobb hasn't done much since his 75-yard touchdown late in Week 1 and needs to be on the bench in fantasy leagues until further notice.
| Cobb misses practice Saturday|
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 29, 2:23 pm
|#Packers WR Randall Cobb (who popped up on the injury report this week with a hamstring injury, did not practice today. He’s listed as questionable, but hasn’t gone since Thursday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Cobb injured his hamstring on Thursday and hasn't practiced since. It's seems unlikely that he will play this week but we should know in plenty of time before the Packers and Bills kickoff in an early game. If Cobb, sits the most WR value will come from Geronimo Allison IF he's moved primarily to the slot.
