2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
A former fourth-round selection from Duke University in the 2015 NFL draft, Crowder has quietly put together two solid seasons in Washington, including an impressive 67/847/7 line in 2016. As he continues to mature and gain the confidence of quarterback Kirk Cousins, Crowder increased his production across the board from his rookie season to year two, with 21 more targets, 243 more yards, and a jump from two touchdowns to seven.

With over 200 targets left on the table following the departure of former starting wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, it is more than likely that Crowder will top the century mark in targets while reaching 1000 yards for the first time in his career. The question is will the addition of Terrelle Pryor and a healthy Josh Doctson and Jordan Reed limit Crowder's red zone targets and chances of reaching and exceeding his touchdown total of seven from 2016.

For fantasy owners that buy into the narrative of third-year wide receivers taking a tier-leap in production, Crowder is someone to consider based on the fact that the Redskins passing game has ranked in the top-ten over the past two seasons, and is primed for an increase in targets and production. Other third-year wide receivers to consider are Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, Willie Snead, and Tyrell Williams.

Injury Jordan Reed listed as questionable

By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 30, 1:10 pm

Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins head into Monday night’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs with running back Rob Kelley (rib), wide receiver Jamison Crowder (hamstring) tight end Jordan Reed (rib/sternum) as questionable. The Pro Bowl tight end is confident he can play Monday evening as he’s been regaining strength and functionality in his core. As he’s been limited in practices recently, Reed’s worked with the wide receivers during individual drills. (Redskins.com)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like both Kelley and Reed will give it a go Monday night. It would be wise for Reed owners to grab Vernon Davis off the waiver wire (if possible) in case he's a surprise inactive. Kelley should slide back into the starting role over Samaje Perine.

Injury Crowder questionable with hip injury
Will test injury on Saturday
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 8, 9:30 am

Washington Redskins
Redskins receiver Jamison Crowder is questionable with a hip flexor. Coach Jay Gruden said they'll work him out again Saturday. "Anyone questionable is a concern," Gruden said. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Crowder apparently tweaked his hip flexor during Thursday’s practice. We'll have to monitor his status over the weekend. If Crowder doesn't play, Ryan Grant would likely move into the slot with Josh Doctson and Terrelle Pryor lining up on the outside.

Jamison Crowder set to make preseason debut
Missed opener with hamstring injury
By: Doug Orth | Thu Aug 17, 6:10 pm

Washington Redskins
Jamison Crowder received a full workload yet again, and the plan is for him to make his preseason debut after missing the opener with a hamstring injury. It means that Kirk Cousins and the offense will take another step toward returning to full strength. Crowder has looked good in practice, winning matchups against Josh Norman when lined up outside, and Kendall Fuller or linebackers or safeties when lined up in the slot. He has used crisp route-running to shake the likes of Norman and Fuller, and speed to win against linebackers and safeties. (The Washington Post)

FFToday's Take: Despite all the hype Terrelle Pryor is getting in the fantasy community, Crowder should see the most targets in Washington. The key for him living up to his early-sixth round ADP is remaining one of Kirk Cousins' two favorite options in the red zone (along with Jordan Reed). It will be difficult for him to do given Pryor is such a big and athletic target, but PPR owners should be happy with Crowder regardless given his 90-catch upside.
