2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
After a disappointing sophomore campaign in which he finished with fewer fantasy points per game than fantasy stalwarts Dontrelle Inman and Quincy Enunwa, former first round pick DeVante Parker has reportedly changed his workout, eating, and sleeping habits over the off-season with the hope of living up to his vast potential.

At 6'2", 209 pounds, Parker has the size and atheism to be a downfield and red zone beast for quarterback Ryan Tannehill. But a lack of focus and dedication, with even his head coach calling him out last season for poor toughness and professionalism, leaves many wondering if Parker will go down as a bust.

Despite the negatives surrounding Parker's off-field behavior, he did see an increase in targets (87), receptions (56), yards (744), touchdowns (4), and catch percentage (64%) from his rookie season to last year. If he can continue to improve across the board, a 70/900/7 season is not out of the question, making him a viable No.3 wide receiver in 12-team formats.

News From The Past 90 Days
Jay Cutler signs with Dolphins
One-year contract worth $10 M
By: Doug Orth | Mon Aug 7, 5:50 pm

Miami Dolphins
He's back: QB Jay Cutler is coming back. Sources say he's agreed to sign with the Dolphins. (NFL.com - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: Ryan Tannehill will almost certainly miss half the season - if not all of it - after reinjuring his knee last Thursday. Cutler reunites with HC Adam Gase, who guided the quarterback to his most efficient season while both were with the Chicago Bears in 2015. It's good news for the fantasy fortunes of DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills as well, as Cutler has a strong arm. Cutler figures to be little more than an uninspiring QB2 in fantasy this season, however.

DeVante Parker builds on spring hype
WR "blows up" on first day of camp
By: Doug Orth | Sat Jul 22, 5:25 pm

Miami Dolphins
DeVante Parker, starting his third season, had an outstanding spring that suggested this is going to be a breakout season. And this first practice did nothing to change that hope. Parker caught two passes, including one in the end zone in which he simply posted up a defender, made himself big, and snatched Ryan Tannehill’s pass from 11 yards out. “I think he was looking to not ease into camp,” Gase said. “When I saw him last night, I could tell he was ready to get after it.” (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: The hype train for Parker this year hasn't even close to hitting a bump. With that said, the third-year receiver has reportedly been doing all the right things during the spring and summer - eating right, getting proper rest, etc. - that he wasn't doing before and focused on developing lower-body strength to avoid the injuries that plagued him in 2015 and 2016. Even in what figures to be a run-oriented offense, Parker is a prime candidate to break out this season.
