2017 Outlook
Depth Chart
After a disappointing sophomore campaign in which he finished with fewer fantasy points per game than fantasy stalwarts Dontrelle Inman and Quincy Enunwa, former first round pick DeVante Parker has reportedly changed his workout, eating, and sleeping habits over the off-season with the hope of living up to his vast potential.

At 6'2", 209 pounds, Parker has the size and atheism to be a downfield and red zone beast for quarterback Ryan Tannehill. But a lack of focus and dedication, with even his head coach calling him out last season for poor toughness and professionalism, leaves many wondering if Parker will go down as a bust.

Despite the negatives surrounding Parker's off-field behavior, he did see an increase in targets (87), receptions (56), yards (744), touchdowns (4), and catch percentage (64%) from his rookie season to last year. If he can continue to improve across the board, a 70/900/7 season is not out of the question, making him a viable No.3 wide receiver in 12-team formats.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury DeVante Parker expected to play Week 9
Ankle injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Oct 30, 10:00 am

Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins expect wide receiver DeVante Parker to play in Sunday night’s prime time game against the Oakland Raiders, barring a setback in practices this week, according to sources. Parker, who has missed the past three games with an ankle injury, will this week get his first significant practice work since the first week of October. Coach Adam Gase last week was hopeful but non-committal about whether Parker would play against Oakland. (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: Parker hasn't played since Week 5 and his return will be a welcome addition to a Miami offense that ranks dead last in total yards per game (252.4). For what it's worth, the Dolphins do have a tasty matchup against the Raiders in Week 9.

Injury DeVante Parker could go in Week 8?
Plans to test injured ankle Tuesday
By: Doug Orth | Tue Oct 24, 1:00 am

Miami Dolphins
(Tuesday) is a big day for DeVante Parker. Is going to run and test out the ankle. If it responds, hopeful to play (against Baltimore). (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: Although Parker wasn't quite setting the world on fire, he was producing like a high-end WR2 in most leagues before spraining his ankle in Week 6. While Parker's exact return date is unknown, he and Matt Moore, who will start for the next few weeks with Jay Cutler sidelined, seemed to have solid chemistry at the end of last season. With Parker a more important part of the offense this season, it's reasonable to assume Parker will return to every-week starter status.

Injury DeVante Parker feeling better
Missed Week 6 with ankle injury
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 19, 7:50 pm

Miami Dolphins
By all appearances, DeVante Parker’s injured ankle is making real progress. He strolled through the Dolphins locker room earlier this week with no sign of a limp or a walking boot. And while he has yet to practice this week, the Dolphins had not ruled him out for Sunday’s game against the Jets. “He is feeling much better,” a source told the Miami Herald. That source would not speculate on whether Parker had progressed to the point where will play Sunday. (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: Parker took advantage of garbage time in Week 3 to post a 8-76-1 line against the Jets. In the three games in which he started and finished this year, he's posted at least 12.9 points in PPR and attracted at least eight targets each time. Ideally, owners can play the wait-and-see game with him if he goes this week before using him as a WR2/WR3 in Week 8 against Baltimore.

Injury DeVante Parker misses another practice
Ankle injury
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 19, 1:12 pm

Miami Dolphins
Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker and center Mike Pouncey remained absent from practice Thursday but the team is still hopeful one or both might be able to play on Sunday against the New York Jets. If Parker recovers sufficiently the next three days, the Dolphins could potentially just have a package for Parker to limit his exposure to re-injury while still taking advantage of his availability in a limited way. (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like Parker is on the wrong side of Questionable this week but we should get a better idea of his status on Friday. If he sits, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills should be the top two targets for Jay Cutler against the Jets. The represent a neutral matchup against wide receivers.

Injury DeVante Parker misses practice Friday
Not expected to play Week 6
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 13, 1:00 pm

Miami Dolphins
It’s hard to see how DeVante Parker plays short of a miraculous recovery. His sprained ankle did not improve enough to allow him to practice at all this week. The Dolphins downfield threat wasn’t even on the sidelines during the team’s final practice of the week. (Miami Herald)

FFToday's Take: With Parker out, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills should be the focal point of the passing offense. That being said, the Dolphins offense has been putrid of late making either player hard to trust in what should be a positive game script for the Dolphins passing game.

Injury DeVante Parker misses second straight practice
Suffered sprained ankle in Week 5
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 12, 6:50 pm

Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (ankle) was not seen in the portion of practice open to media on Thursday. Parker has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Atlanta. (Palm Beach Post - Joe Schad)

FFToday's Take: Owners should check Friday's injury reports to be sure, but it doesn't seem like Parker has a great chance of playing this week versus the Falcons. Jarvis Landry and his hard-to-believe seven yard-per-catch average figure to benefit the most from Parker's absence, while Kenny Stills could see an extra target or two as well. Given how poorly Jay Cutler is playing, however, nothing with Miami's offense is a given.

Injury DeVante Parker ankle injury minor
Could play Week 6
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Oct 9, 10:30 am

Miami Dolphins
#Dolphins WR DeVante Parker suffered an ankle sprain yesterday and it’s believed to be minor, source said. Not ruled out for Sunday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Parker left in the first quarter yesterday and never returned. the Dolphins offense looks anemic on the field, not to mention the off-field distraction of offensive line coach Chris Foerster snorting cocaine at work. It will be difficult to trust any skill player, even in a tempting matchup against the Falcons.
