|Fitzpatrick to start for Jets|
Bowles not ready to make switch to Petty
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 21, 1:45 pm
|On the verge of losing his job to Bryce Petty after sitting out the last game (Nov. 13) with a mild knee sprain, Ryan Fitzpatrick will start for the struggling Jets when they face the first-place New England Patriots Sunday at MetLife Stadium. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: HC Todd Bowles doesn't have much of a choice if he wants to stay in the good graces with his players as Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg don't give the team the best chance to win. Fitzpatrick is tied for the league lead in interceptions with 13.

Bryce Petty goes 19 for 32 in debut
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Nov 16, 2:46 pm
|FLORHAM PARK — Bryce Petty or Ryan Fitzpatrick? It's not clear yet which of these Jets quarterbacks will start after the bye week, against the Patriots. Coach Todd Bowles expects to make his decision by Monday. But one thing is clear: Bowles will have the final say.
FFToday's Take: New York's passing attack has absolutely dried up this season. They rank 29th in the NFL in passing yards per game and dead last in QB Rating. Whether it's Week 11 or later, HC Todd Bowles will eventually need to prioritize the 2017 season. Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't under contract for next season so look for Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenburg to get more reps in the coming weeks.

Sprained MCL for Fitzpatrick

FFToday's Take: Ryan Fitzpatrick was able to practice this week on a limited basis but it appears the Jets will roll with Petty against the Rams. Brandon Marshall gets a bump down the rankings with Petty at QB while Rams-D makes for a solid play in Week 10.
| Jets' Fitzpatrick optimistic about playing|
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Nov 9, 5:56 pm
|FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick says he is ''definitely optimistic'' that he'll be able to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams despite having a sprained left knee. (AP Sports)|
FFToday's Take: Ryan Fitzpatrick hasn't thrown multiple touchdown passes in a single game since Week 1 (when he was healthy) so don't expect much improvement if his mobility is compromised. 2015 fourth rounder Bryce Petty would be in line for the start if Fitzpatrick isn't given medical clearance. The whole situation puts a damper on the fantasy prospects for Brandon Marshall, Quincy Enunwa and the rest of the Jets' pass catchers.

No decision on starting QB

|Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick sprained his MCL in Sunday vs. Miami, per source. Injury not considered serious, but could impact Jets QB decision. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Fitzpatrick was replaced by Bryce Petty for a short period before returning to action. The Jets have yet to name a starting quarterback for Week 10, but neither Fitzpatrick or Petty would be a recommended play against the Rams.
