2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
Despite finishing 13th in fantasy points per game for quarterbacks, Tony Romo was the most efficient quarterback in the NFL last season, leading the league in passer rating, completion percentage rate, and yards per attempt. An improved offensive line gave Romo more time to survey the field and deliver quality, low-risk throws, while the emergence of DeMarco Murray and the ground attack forced opposing defenses to play single coverage outside and opened the door for more play-action passes. The formula worked so well that the Cowboys finished the season with a 12-4 record and an NFC East divisional crown. The Cowboys will continue to use the same balanced attack in 2015 despite the loss of DeMarco Murray to the Eagles via free agency. This bodes well for Romo owners in that he will not be forced to throw the ball 40-plus times to win a game, however, the continued reduction in pass attempts and yardage eats into his overall value, keeping him out of the top-5 quarterback discussion.

Injury Tony Romo out for the season
After re-fracturing collarbone
By: John Canario | Fri Nov 27, 4:00 pm

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday that quarterback Tony Romo’s season is done after he fractured his left collarbone for the second time this season. During a radio interview on KRLD-FM radio in Dallas, Jones said that Romo suffered a hairline fracture that will not require surgery. The injury, suffered late in the third quarter of Thursday’s 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers, will sideline the 35-year-old Romo for the remaining five games of the regular season. Romo, who played in just two complete games this season, threw five touchdowns and seven interceptions in four games. After returning from the original broken collarbone — which occurred at Philadelphia in Week 2 — Romo threw a combined five interceptions against the Miami Dolphins and Panthers. (USA Today)

FFToday's Take: With Matt Cassel likely under center for the rest of the season, it's hard to get too excited about the fantasy outlook for players like Terrance Williams and Jason Witten. Darren McFadden and Dez Bryant are currently the only Cowboys' players worth owning for fantasy purposes.

Injury Romo on track to return in Week 11
Out since Week 2 with fractured collarbone
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 16, 5:15 pm

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's fractured collarbone appears to have healed based on recent test results, a league source told ESPN's Ed Werder. After missing two months of action, Romo should be cleared from injured reserve/designated to return Wednesday and play as expected Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, the source said. "Tony's had a good couple of weeks of practice with us," coach Jason Garrett said. "We anticipate him being able to practice this week." (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Cowboys won each of their first two games with Romo under center but have gone 0-7 during his absence with Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel - the franchise's longest losing streak since 1989. His return is a major boost for all Dallas skill-position players, particularly Dez Bryant. Expect Darren McFadden to benefit as well since defenses will need to respect the passing game again. This week's opponent, the Miami Dolphins, present a plus-matchup for Romo.
