2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
After a shoulder injury limited him to just nine games in 2013, Rodgers roared back in 2014, planting his flag on the pinnacle of the fantasy quarterback mountain. Rodgers nabbed his second NFL MVP award and finished with 33 more touchdowns than interceptions (30+ four times in the last five seasons). With the re-signing of the electric Randall Cobb, the assumed health of Jordy Nelson, and the development of young pass catchers Devante Adams, Jeff Janis, and Richard Rodgers, A-Rod helms the leagueís most potent passing attack, making him an elite QB1.

Most of the offseason buzz surrounding the Packers concerns the growth of Adams and Janis, two players who should provide Rodgers with a veritable barrage of weapons to deploy against NFL defenses. It will also be interesting to see how a change in play callers will affect the Packerís offensive aggressiveness, as Mike McCarthy gives way to Tom Clements. With nearly unrivaled offensive weaponry, a consistent offensive system, and a need to score points to protect an inconsistent defense, Rodgers yearly domination is one of the surer things in fantasy football. But if you look deeply enough through the roses and buttercups, some ugly spots lurk in the background that could foil the best laid plans.

After several injuries early in his career slapped him with an ďinjury proneĒ label, Rodgers has been a 16 game starter in six of the last seven seasons. But the last two seasons havenít ended well from a health perspective. The severe calf injury to close out the 2014 didnít cause him to miss games, but it severely limited what he could do outside the pocket, and may have revealed the start of a potential physical breakdown. Combine his age (31) with the fact that the NFC North defenses should be collectively better in 2015 than they were last year, means there could be a few more bumps in the road than normal.

Every princess has a wart somewhere, but that doesnít mean you donít take them to the ball. Rodgers should be battling Andrew Luck for QB1A supremacy, so consider yourself at a distinct advantage with Aaron leading your squad.

Injury Rodgers knee surgery considered minor
"Cleanup of an old injury"
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jan 29, 11:30 pm

Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers underwent knee surgery within days of the team's Jan. 17 playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals, he confirmed to ESPN on Friday night. One source described the surgery as a minor scope and a "cleanup of an old injury." Rodgers told ESPN that he is "doing well" and "recovering on schedule." (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Rodgers won't be playing in the Pro Bowl as a result of the surgery but he should be ready for off-season workouts in April. Rodgers had his worst fantasy season since taking over as the Packers starter in 2008 (minus his injury-shortened 2013 season) but he still managed to finish 12th among fantasy quarterbacks in 2015. He'll be a QB1 in drafts next summer.

Injury Packers work out RB Montee Ball
Green Bay desperate for rushing help
By: John Canario | Fri Dec 4, 5:25 pm

Green Bay Packers
The Packers are clearly searching for answers in their running game, and Friday they worked out former Broncos running back Montee Ball. ESPNís Field Yates first reported Ballís workout. A second-round pick in 2013, Ball was released by the Broncos in the preseason. He had one touchdown run last season. The Packers started James Starks at running back in Thursday nightís win over the Lions despite Eddie Lacy having posted consecutive 100-yard games. Aaron Rodgers led the team in rushing in the game with 27 yards. (NBC Sports)

FFToday's Take: Even if the Packers sign Ball, there's no guarantee that he'll usurp James Starks or Eddie Lacy as the team's new lead back. Forget about Ball, unless you have space on your bench for a low-chance flier that's unlikely to pay dividends.
