2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
White has been one of the most consistent fantasy assets over the past decade but he started to show signs of a decline in the 2014. There are plenty of recent examples former top wideouts maintaining fantasy relevance despite taking on reduced roles as they head into the twilight of their careers. White should get enough looks in this offense to be an adequate WR3 in most formats. However, those investing in White should understand that he will be turning 34 in November and he has had his share of nagging injuries over the last couple years.

Injury Roddy White to have minor elbow surgery
Expected to be ready for Week 1
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Aug 23, 8:00 pm

Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White will have minor surgery on his right elbow Monday but will not miss the Sept. 14 season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, coach Dan Quinn said Sunday. "He'll certainly be back for Week 1," Quinn said. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: White missed Friday's preseason game as the injury flared up on him Thursday. This will mean more reps for Leonard Hankerson while White recovers and should push White's ADP (8.09) down in re-draft leagues. White missed two games last year (hamstring, ankle) and had his knee drained back in June. At 33-years old, he's injury risk is something fantasy owners should be aware of.

Falcons pleased with Hankerson
WR played under new OC Kyle Shanahan in Washington
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jul 23, 6:10 pm

Atlanta Falcons
Opposite Julio Jones, the coaches really like newcomer Leonard Hankerson based on his strong offseason. Hankerson played in Shanahan's system while in Washington and appears to be healthy coming off a gruesome left knee injury in 2013. But Hankerson's emergence doesn't necessarily move Roddy White aside. It simply means the veteran White has to have a strong training camp and show the left knee injury that has plagued him won't be a lingering issue. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: It sounds as though the beat writer believes White and Hankerson could end up battling for a starting spot opposite Jones. In all likelihood, however, Hankerson will probably end up being White's handcuff that could get some run if the 33-year-old's body continues to break down like it has in the lat two years. It's likely much ado about nothing, but a note to file away should White struggle out of the gate in 2015.

Roddy White not worried about smaller role in new offense
New OC Kyle Shanahan likely to have more balanced approach
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Jun 14, 1:00 pm

Atlanta Falcons
Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is not worried about his role being diminished in the new offense. I just dont think were going to go out there and throw it 30, 40 times a game like we did in the past, White said. Im not saying that we didnt like that, but its going to be different. We have to get back to our old (style) where we run the football. Play-action passes and convert on third downs. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)

FFToday's Take: The Falcons finished third in pass attempts (632) last season throwing it 62-percent of the time. New OC Kyle Shanahan will likely want a more balanced attack that could cut into White's targets. Whether or not that balanced attack comes to be is another issue. Julio Jones will be the focal point of the passing game.
