Tim Hightower’s re-signing this off-season adds some intrigue to deep fantasy leagues. Hightower will be worthy of handcuff consideration after the team let Khiry Robinson depart via free agency and a lack of commitment to C.J. Spiller. When given a shot after Ingram went down late in the 2015 season, Hightower not only ran well, but chipped in nicely in the passing game and notched four scores in the process. If he can continue to produce and earn the confidence in Sean Payton, he could be worked into the rotation as a way to keep Mark Ingram healthy later into the season.

Toe injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Dec 4, 8:00 am

New Orleans
Saints' RB Mark Ingram, questionable for today with a toe injury, is playing vs Lions, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Ingram missed practice time this week with a toe injury but it appears he will give it a go. It won't e a surprise if Tim Hightower out-snaps Ingram today but both running backs are worthy of flex consideration against the Lions.

Injury Mark Ingram expected to play
Concussion
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 27, 8:30 am

New Orleans
Saints' RB Mark Ingram, recovering from a concussion and listed as questionable for today's game vs. Rams, will play, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: After practicing all week, Ingram need to be cleared by an independent doctor in order to clear the final hurdle of the league's concussion protocol. He'll split time with Tim Hightower as the Saints battle the Rams.

Injury Mark Ingram to practice Wednesday
Concussion
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 23, 8:00 am

New Orleans
New Orleans got good news Wednesday, as coach Sean Payton said running back Mark Ingram will practice Wednesday. Ingram was evaluated for a concussion in last Thursday night's loss to the Panthers. (NFL.com)

FFToday's Take: Ingram is working through the concussion protocol and while the Saints haven't made it official it sounds like he's passed and will likely play this week against the Rams. Ingram is in timeshare with Tim Hightower capping both of their ceilings at a RB2 level.

Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower will split carries
Saints plan to keep both backs involved moving forward
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Nov 8, 2:00 pm

New Orleans
Mark Ingram finally made his way off the bench three series into Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, one week after he was demoted for fumbling for the second game in a row. Now, after a big game from both, Ingram and Tim Hightower will share the load moving forward, according to Saints coaches. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: It looks like the Saints will stay committed to the run on Sunday as they have for the past two games -- especially since Denver has the NFL’s No. 1 passing defense., so both make intriguing fantasy plays.

RBBC in New Orleans?
Tim Hightower earning more snaps
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Oct 31, 10:45 am

New Orleans
#Saints RB Tim Hightower earned more carries for next week's gm vs #49ers, per source. Said team has committee approach no matter starter (Britt McHenry on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Tim Hightower touched the ball 27 times in Week 8 after Mark Ingram had fumbling issues. Obviously the RBBC is a drain on Ingram's value however both backs have a prime matchup in Week 9 against the 49ers.
