|Tim Hightower’s re-signing this off-season adds some intrigue to deep fantasy leagues. Hightower will be worthy of handcuff consideration after the team let Khiry Robinson depart via free agency and a lack of commitment to C.J. Spiller. When given a shot after Ingram went down late in the 2015 season, Hightower not only ran well, but chipped in nicely in the passing game and notched four scores in the process. If he can continue to produce and earn the confidence in Sean Payton, he could be worked into the rotation as a way to keep Mark Ingram healthy later into the season.
|Ingram could flirt with 250 carries|
Saints RB discussion

|An interesting subplot for the season is how many carries Mark Ingram will receive. He finished with 226 carries over 13 games in 2014 and was on pace for 220 last season before suffering an injury that limited him to 12 games.
If the defense improves, it's possible Ingram could flirt with 250 carries. If he adds another 50 catches out of the backfield, as he did last season, he could set career marks in touches.

FFToday's Take: Beat writer Nick Underhill also suggested that Ingram could lose some touches to C.J. Spiller, if Spiller rebounds from his knee injury. However, Tim Hightower appears be the RB of choice for Ingram owners looking for a handcuff. Hightower took over lead back duties the last four weeks of 2015 averaging 82 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards and 1 TD per game.
