As good as the G-men have been rushing the passer, they have
been downright porous to opposing running games. Giving up a league
worst 5.4 yards-per-carry, New York has also served up a league
high four 40+ yard rushes. With Jaden Daniels still sore from
his recent rib injury, look for the Commanders to lean on Robinson
and the run game, giving their lead back a great chance to add
to his touchdown total.
Hubbard has seen a dip in efficiency the last two weeks, but
he remains the bellcow for a Panthers team that’s already
begun to look toward 2025. The Saints’ run defense has been
dreadful, yielding the 2nd highest YPC average in the NFL (5.2)
and yielded the 7th most fantasy points to the position. Despite
the Saints being favored by 7.5, the Panthers should keep things
close to their 2-7 division rival and even if things get out of
hand, Hubbard’s receiving upside saves the day.
Pollard managed 117 total yards in a 38-point loss to the Lions
last week and should continue to have a stranglehold on the backfield
as Tyjae Spears works back from a hamstring injury. Pollard hasn’t
busted loose yet this year, but he’s been a reliable RB2 in all
formats and gets a Patriot defense that has given up the 3rd most
fantasy points to the position. In a game that should stay close,
Pollard is a great bet for 100+ total yards and a score.
Dobbins has been a wonderful story of strength and perseverance
this season, but the fact is he’s topped 60 yards on the
ground only once since Week 2 and has been well under 4 yards
per carry over the last month. Against a smothering Cleveland
run defense, Dobbins is a risky touchdown dependent option.
It’s pretty clear I'm not a fan of the Jags offense this
week. Not only is the matchup rough, with Etienne likely to return
to some action this week, this backfield becomes a jumbled mess.
Bigsby has been good enough to earn a share, but Etienne won’t
totally lose his job either. The confusion and status of the offense
is just too much to trust either of these guys.
This backfield never quite turned into a 3-headed monster that
many predicted, but White is still losing a ton of snaps to rookie
Bucky Irving. White continues to butter his bread in the passing
game, but the receiving touchdowns are unreliable, and Irving
just caught a career high seven passes. Between dwindling snaps
due to a timeshare, and a horrible matchup against a stout KC
defense, White is on shaky footing.
