The fourth-round draft pick out of USC has continued to impress
since Week 13. In the five games since then he’s seen double-digit
targets and ranks No. 2 behind only record-setting Cooper Kupp
averaging 24.6 FPts/G. Even receiving passes from backup Tim Boyle
didn’t slow him down. The Packers will be using backups and practice
squad guys all day having locked up the NFC bye in Week 17.
Mooney enjoys having Andy Dalton back under center, seeing 13
more targets in Week 17. In Dalton’s last four starts, he’s
seen 41 targets and caught 22 for 340 yards and a couple of scores.
The Vikings are the leagues’ worst defense against opposing
fantasy receivers allowing 42.2 FPts/G.
The Titans rank 30th in wide receiver fantasy points allowed
(40.1 FPts/G). Meanwhile, Cooks continues to produce despite inferior
quarterback play. He’s seen double-digit targets in three
straight games and produced 24.4 FPts/G over that span. Good receiver
plus bad pass defense equals “must start.”
Berrios stunned the fantasy world last weekend with 27.7 fantasy
points, but the Bills are No. 1 against opposing WRs allowing
just 25.2 FPts/G to all receivers. The Bills are playing for a
division title, at home, in expected windy weather (39 degrees
and winds 15-20 mph). Lightning won’t strike twice.
Vegas’ secondary has played very well this season and ranks
No. 3 against opposing wide receivers while allowing just 10 touchdown
passes. In their first meeting, the Raiders held Allen to seven
catches for 36 yards. In Week 15 of 2020 they held Allen to one
catch for 17 yards in Allegiant Stadium. They seem to have his
number.
Meyers, who entered the 2021 season with zero touchdown catches
(but two touchdown passes), has two in the last six games, but
this weekend isn’t likely to add to that total. Since Week
13, the Dolphins defense has allowed just 320 yards and zero touchdown
receptions to opposing wideouts.
