You can’t run against Tampa, hence the Henry sit advisory, but
if Levis is to have a good day, Hopkins will be the key. Hopkins
totaled 128 yards and three touchdowns in Levis’ debut start and
saw 11 targets last weekend. The Bucs rank 31st in wide receiver
fantasy points allowed (40.3 FPts/G) and have allowed 10 receiving
touchdowns. With Treylon Burks still in concussion protocol it’s
Hopkins and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and the latter has seen just
three targets with Levis under center.
Washington ranks 31st in fantasy points allowed to opposing wideouts
and one reason is that the Eagles A.J. Brown has physically abused
the Commanders secondary (21 targets, 17 catches for 305 yards
and four touchdowns in two games). Which Seahawks receiver most
resembles Brown? That’s easy – DK Metcalf. He had one 50-yard
catch against Baltimore in Week 9, but he saw 24 targets in the
previous two games. He explodes here in an A.J. Brown-like effort.
From Week 2 through Week 7, Kirk produced double-digit fantasy
points and quietly took the lead role from Calvin Ridley. He’ll
face a 49ers defense which surprisingly ranks 29th in fantasy
points allowed (39.1 FPts/G) to wideouts. Both teams are coming
off a bye and should be healthy and ready to go, but the 49ers
have to make the cross-country trip.
When was the last time you saw Adams’ name here? Probably never,
but there is no way to trust him off two horrible efforts (a combined
14 targets, five catches for 45 yards over that span). Jakobi
Meyers hasn’t been good either. They face a Jets defense which
is one of the best in the league with two elite corners (Sauce
Gardner and D.J. Reed) and a fierce pass rush. The Jets have held
Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen each under 240
yards passing… what do you think Aidan O’Connell can produce?
Adams won’t find his elite game this week.
Beckham Jr. has been seeing more targets the past three games,
but it hasn’t converted into fantasy points. In his first
four games he never saw more than four targets, but he’s
seen seven, four and seven the past three games. Unfortunately
that has only produced 26.5 points or 8.8 FPts/G. Meanwhile, the
Browns pass defense has allowed just 970 yards (121.3 yards per
game) and six receiving touchdowns to wideouts all season.
3) Any Giants receiver @ Dallas
The Giants starting quarterback is Tommy DeVito. I shouldn’t
have to explain any further. It might just as well be Danny DeVito.
He faces the ball-hawking Cowboys secondary. This is a horrible
matchup. With Darius
Slayton, Wan’Dale
Robinson and Jalin
Hyatt the options against Stephon Gilmore, DaRon Bland and
a pass rushing Micah Parsons you should stay as far away from
the Giants offense as possible.
