Have you clinched yet? This could be the weekend. This also could
be the weekend that eliminates you, but there is always next year.
I want to use this time to thank all of you who have read my articles
and sent your e-mails. It has been a great experience and I enjoyed
corresponding with many of you. This is a great time of year to
start reading some of the articles out there regarding game
design. Look at some of things that you liked and did not like
about your current league and see what you can do to make some changes.
Change is definitely good in these leagues as it makes it even more
fun.
Remember; always play your studs, unless of course injury is
a concern. Good luck this week!
Best
QB Brett Favre vs. Minnesota
Should do similar damage to this defense as he did last week.
QB Tommy Maddox vs. Tennessee
I don't know if you will see the same shootout as last week, but
he should find plenty of room to hit Burress and Ward.
RB Clinton Portis vs. Seattle
The Seahawks have found it hard to stop anyone. Look for the line
to open up holes all day long for him as Seattle is depleted defensively
as well.
RB Charlie Garner vs. New England
His versatility makes him a weapon each week. When he isn't running
he is catching and vice versa.
WR Eric Moulds vs. Kansas City
The number 1 receiver has always put up the bigger numbers against
this spotty defense. Although they were decent last week, this
offense is too explosive.
WR Torry Holt vs. Chicago
He has been under the radar all season and should have a big game
Monday night.
TE Tony Gonzalez vs. Buffalo
Although there are some other stars emerging at the position,
he is still the cream of the crop and should have a good game
this week.
TE Bubba Franks vs. Minnesota
Following up last years good season with another nice year and
it isn't over. Favre will look to him often, as the defense is
open in the middle.
Average
QB Tom Brady vs. Oakland
He has been on fire lately and should continue against a defense
giving up a lot in the air.
QB Marc Bulger vs Chicago
With Warner in the wings, he should do his best to impress on
a national stage. I think it's a mistake to take him out until
he cools down, but then again, that's why I don't get paid to
be a coach.
RB Corey Dillon vs. Cleveland
Put up over 170 combined yards in their first meeting and I don't
expect that things should be any different.
RB Tiki barber vs. Washington
Is definitely the heart and soul of this team and has averaged
over 100 total yards per game for the season. Look for him to
face a tougher Redskin D, but he should get his yardage one way
or another.
WR Lavernues Coles vs. Detroit
He is turning into a star and works well with Pennington. He should
have his way against the Lion secondary.
WR Tai Streets vs. San Diego
Although more was expected from the offense against K.C., after
the Rams picked apart the Chargers last week, Streets may be a
nice sleeper this week.
TE Ernie Conwell vs. Chicago
he scored last week and could be a solid option with Faulk a possible
no show.
TE Alge Crumpler vs. New Orleans
Although he is having a sophomore slump, he his one of the better
players in this thin position. Always is an option around the
goal line even though he hasn't seen it since week 1.
Worst
QB Brian Griese vs. Seattle
While the run defense has been poor at best; the same can't be
said about the secondary.
QB Rodney Peete vs. Tampa Bay
Until this defense folds, I don't like anyone against them.
RB James/Williams/Mungro vs. Dallas
With all of the injuries, this day is all up to Peyton.
RB Hearst/Barlow vs. San Diego
Unless they join the passing game, neither of these guys are great
options against the stingy run D.
WR Rod Gardner vs. New York Giants
The secondary has been great even though Rod has had a nice little
turn around..
WR Muhsin Muhammad vs. Tampa Bay
The reasons are too obvious too mention why he has a tough match
up.
TE Freddie Jones vs. Philadelphia
He didn't catch a ball last week, and it wouldn't be surprising
to see the same results this week.
TE Ken Dilger vs. Carolina
He is coming off of the bye and has had two good games in a row,
but look for Tampa to pound with the run and through downfield.
