The Rams are 0-4 the Panthers are 3-1. What is going on this year?
Please find me the experts that predicted this, maybe they can come
to the track with me this weekend, I can use some extra dough. This
all goes to show you that nothing is guarantee and please enjoy
my lists for what they are worth. While pick I make is an educated
one, there is plenty of room for error, as evidenced in past weeks.
Watch the match ups, look for key defensive injuries, or overmatched
lines and secondary. If you do all that and the pick is a bust,
you did your best.
Remember; always play your studs, unless of course injury is a concern.
Good luck this week!
Best
QB Chad Pennington vs. Kansas City
In his first start for the Jets this season he gets to play against
one of the worst secondaries in the league. Look for some good production
from him.
QB Patrick Ramsey/Danny Wuerffel vs. Tennessee
The Redskins have had two weeks to work on getting their supposed
offensive monster back on track. Tennessee has given up a ton
of yards an the additional loss of Samari Rolle doesn't help.
RB Priest Holmes vs. New York Jets
He should at least match Taylor's performance against this sieve
of a defense. However, he should see the end zone more than Fred
did.
RB Anthony Thomas vs. Green Bay
I picked him last week and he disappointed. Look for him to turn
things around Monday night at home.
WR Marvin Harrison vs. Cincinnati
This is not the way the Bengals envisioned this year to be. Tony
Dungy is reported to have been working on the passing game during
the bye week.
WR Plaxico Burress vs. New Orleans
Hopefully he can pick up where he left off last week. The Saints
have been vulnerable giving up yardage to teams like the Lions.
TE Jeremy Shockey vs. Dallas
In his first four games as a Giant he has out produced the TE
production from all of 2001. Look for him to continue his success
this week.
TE Anthony Becht vs. Kansas City
He should be a viable option for Pennington with many holes in
the receiving corps. Look for some nice yardage as well.
Average
QB Brett Favre vs. Chicago
Will face a hostile crowd on Monday night in Champaign, however
he has a 16 and 4 career mark against the bears and has averaged
nearly 2 TDs a game.
QB Drew Bledsoe vs. Oakland
Oakland gave up a ton of yards to a less then stellar Tennessee
passing game last week and Moulds and Price will roam a secondary
without the presence of Charles Woodson.
RB Eddie George vs. Washington
Even though the yardage isn't there, he is finding the end zone.
Look for him to increase his production this week.
RB Ricky Williams vs. New England
First Holmes, then Tomlinson and now Ricky, does it end? Look
for the Pats to focus on Williams, but he should still put up
some nice numbers.
WR Lavernues Coles vs. Kansas City
He was comfortable last week as Pennington's favorite target and
should excel this week with the likely absence of Chrebet.
WR Kevin Lockett vs. Tennessee
With no Samari Rolle in the secondary and a new promotion to the
starting line-up, he will try and take pressure off of Rod Gardner.
TE Chad Lewis vs. Jacksonville
Has had neck stingers in the last three weeks, but hopefully he
can shake it and get in the end zone.
TE Randy McMichael vs. New England
He wasn't apart of the attack last week, only catching 1 of 4
balls thrown his way. Look for him to bounce back with a solid
week.
Worst
QB Michael Vick vs. Tampa Bay
He comes in with the best passing rating in the NFC. If there
is a defense that can contain his speed and agility, this is the
one.
QB Brad Johnson vs. Atlanta
He needs Keyshawn to step up and into the end zone. Patrick Kerney
looks to put pressure on him all day.
RB Fred Taylor vs. Philadelphia
From playing the one of the poorest defenses to playing one of
the best. He will be hard-pressed to come anywhere close to last
week's numbers.
RB Travis Henry vs. Oakland
He had a huge score last week in OT, but is still plagued with
fumblitis. The Bills will look to the air first this week.
WR Peter Warrick vs. Indianapolis
A major disappointment to those who thought he would have his
break out season. Look for the team to struggle again this week
with their 3rd QB change so far.
WR David Boston vs. Carolina
Is not performing as was expecting due to nagging injuries and
a poor offense. Look for him to have difficulties this week against
John Fox's Defense. He knows this team from his days as the Giants
coordinator.
TE John Davis vs. Green Bay
While he has been a somewhat productive TE in terms of fantasy
points, don't expect him to do much this week as the Bears will
try and pound the A-Train.
TE Shannon Sharpe vs. San Diego
He was targeted 13 times last week and caught 9 for 75 in trying
to come back against Baltimore. Do not expect close to this against
the Chargers.
