| Brian Robinson Jr. on the move to San Francisco Commanders get a 2026 sixth-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Aug 22 2025, 12:21 pm

Trade: Commanders are trading RB Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, sources tell ESPN. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: We knew Robinson was on the trading block and now know the landing spot. Pending a physical, Robinson will be the new backup for Christian McCaffrey. The 49ers are dealing with multiple injuries to their wide receiver room so it won't be a surprise if they lean on the running game early in the season. This move isn't great for Isaac Guerendo's value as a contingency stash. The Commanders still have Austin Ekeler, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Jeremy McNichols on their depth chart.

| Vikings interested in trading for WR Adam Thielen Addison suspension, plus Nailor hand injury spurring action By: Mike Krueger | Aug 22 2025, 10:07 am

Vikings have inquired about trading for Panthers WR Adam Thielen, per league sources.
With WR Jordan Addison serving a three-game suspension and Jalen Nailor dealing with a hand injury, Thielen could wind up starting opening night for the Vikings if they can complete the trade. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Panthers could easily slide Jalen Coker into three wide receiver sets or elevate Hunter Renfrow if they make this deal happen. The Vikings currently have a depth problem at the position with Nailor nursing a hand injury, Addison's suspension and Justin Jefferson missing a good deal of camp with a hamstring injury. The move makes sense for the Vikings; let's see if they can pull it off.

| Chris Godwin unlikely to play until October Will avoid PUP list to start the season By: Mike Krueger | Aug 21 2025, 9:04 am

Sources: Buccaneers plan to activate WR Chris Godwin off the Physically Unable to Perform list and have him on their 53-man roster to start the season, but only to begin his ramp-up process for games, not to immediately play in them. Godwin still is unlikely to play until October as he continues recovering from the fractured ankle he suffered in Week 7 vs. the Ravens last season. He is expected to start practicing in Week 2, but the team thinks he is right where he should be at this time and is pleased with his recovery. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Good to an update on the Godwin situation. Week 5 against the Seahawks seems like the game to target for his return. How long it takes him to get up to full speed will be a different story. In the meantime, expect rookie Emeka Egbuka to occupy a starting spot opposite Mike Evans. Egbuka's ADP (WR37, half-PPR) will continue to rise as we get set for a big draft weekend.

| Broncos ship WR Devaughn Vele to Saints for draft picks DEN gets 2026 fourth-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Aug 20 2025, 6:58 pm

We’ve agreed to terms on a trade with the New Orleans Saints for a 2026 fourth-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange for WR Devaughn Vele. (Denver Broncos on X)
FFToday's Take: As a rookie last season, Vele finished with a 41-475-3 line; respectable for the team but not really fantasy worthy in most 12-team redraft leagues. His fantasy prospects aren't enhanced by going to the Saints given their issues at quarterback. At best, he'll slide into the No.3 receiver role and be the 4th offensive option behind Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. This move opens up room for Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant to increase their roles in the Denver offense.

| Demarcus Robinson gets 3-game suspension Violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy By: Mike Krueger | Aug 20 2025, 6:12 pm

49ers WR Demarcus Robinson has been suspended three games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, HC Kyle Shanahan told
@KNBR. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: As if the 49ers weren't dealing with enough issues at the wide receiver position, here's another. Robinson was set to have an early-season role with Brandon Aiyuk likely to start the season on the PUP list, but San Francisco will now be searching for answers to fill their No.3 wideout role in Week 1. They will more than likely add help via trade or after cuts are made on 8/26.

| Jalen McMillan likely to miss half of the season Suffered "severely sprained neck" in Week 2 preseason game By: Doug Orth | Aug 19 2025, 3:20 pm

Jalen McMillan will be placed on injured reserve after suffering a “severely sprained neck,” against the Steelers and could be out past the Bucs Week 9 bye week, the Times has learned. Team still feels fortunate the injury wasn’t worse and have depth at WR starting with Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka. Chris Godwin will eventually return from a dislocated ankle. But tough news for McMillan. (Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud)
FFToday's Take: As bad as this news is, McMillan was inches away from suffering a much worse injury. With Chris Godwin (ankle) still not practicing, the path is clear for Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka to carry the bulk of the passing game through at least September. While McMillan's absence may free up another receiver to contribute (Sterling Shepard?), expect Cade Otton to see a few more targets than he would have received otherwise.

| Colts announce Daniel Jones as starting QB for Week 1 "Not a short-term arrangement" By: Mike Krueger | Aug 19 2025, 10:50 am

A QB decision in Indy: Colts named Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback for their Sept. 7 regular-season opener vs. the Miami Dolphins, per @HolderStephen and me. Colts HC Shane Steichen is not planning for this to be a short-term arrangement for Daniel Jones. “He's the starting QB for the season,” Steichen told reporters today. “I don’t want to have a short leash on that.” (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Anthony Richardson failed to impress the coaches enough that they made a point of saying this is Jones' job for the season. Regardless, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Richardson under center at some point in 2025. This move is good sign for the fantasy values of Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs (hamstring). Pittman and Downs are hovering around the WR45 range in Half-PPR leagues.

| Justin Jefferson expected to return to practice soon Minor hamstring has sidelined star WR lately By: Doug Orth | Aug 18 2025, 9:40 pm

Justin Jefferson will begin to take part in practice this week, according to comments made by HC Kevin O'Connell.
"He will begin to take part in practice. It will kind of a ramp-up ... but he will officially be back to work and be ramping up from here," O'Connell told reporters on Aug. 18. (Vikings.com)
FFToday's Take: The Vikings are understandably taking their time with Jefferson. Not only is he critical to the team's success, but he will be needed more than usual with Jordan Addison set to begin the season with a three-game suspension and Jalen Nailor considered week-to-week with a hand injury. Jefferson typically goes off the board in drafts within the first six picks and should be considered a huge value if he slips much past that.

| De'Von Achane nursing a calf injury Absence from practice considered "preventative" By: Doug Orth | Aug 18 2025, 9:30 pm

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Dolphins RB De'Von Achane is dealing with a calf injury and likely will not practice this week
McDaniel said this is "preventative in nature" especially because of how explosive of an athlete Achane is. (ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers should be wary of soft-tissue injuries at this point of the preseason. While this issue sounds minor, even the most minor calf injuries tend to take a while to heal completely. No one should be overly surprised if Achane misses some time during the regular season due to an aggravation. For now, managers should proactively consider Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon a bit earlier in drafts.

| Brian Robinson Jr. on the trading block Won't play in tonight's preseason game By: Mike Krueger | Aug 18 2025, 2:27 pm

Amid speculation about his future with the #Commanders, RB Brian Robinson Jr. will not play tonight against the #Bengals, sources say. It’s a mutual decision between Robinson and the team, as a trade before the cut to the 53-man roster remains a possibility. (Mike Garafolo on X)
FFToday's Take: According to reports, Robinson is on the trading block as the team has been happy with rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt in training camp. Austin Ekeler, Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Jeremy McNichols are also on the roster meaning, somebody will likely be cut or traded before rosters are trimmed to 53. JCM's fantasy stock will be on the rise in the meantime.

| MarShawn Lloyd expected to miss some time Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Aug 17 2025, 2:07 pm

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Omar Brown (lung) is showing a lot of improvement but is staying overnight again in Indy and could come home tomorrow.
Meanwhile, MarShawn Lloyd is “going to miss some time” with a hamstring injury.
Same with Barryn Sorrell (knee). (Rob Demovsky on X)
FFToday's Take: Lloyd was injured in the Packers second pre-season game and it doesn't sound like he's going to be back at practice anytime soon. He only played in one game last season before suffering an ankle injury in Week 2 that knocked him out for the remainder of the season. At this point, Emanuel Wilson is the swing you want to take late in the drafts for contingent upside if you're targeting Green Bay running backs.

| Malik Nabers dealing with "minor" back problem Hasn't practiced in 11 days By: Mike Krueger | Aug 17 2025, 1:58 pm

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers hasn't practiced in 11 days after dealing with what multiple sources told ESPN was a minor back problem. One source characterized it as "normal camp tightness."
Nabers was held out of Saturday night's 31-12 win over the New York Jets. He has missed each of the Giants' first two preseason games. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: A few days missed during camp isn't typically a big deal but Nabers has missed enough time that it warrants attention. The Giants, along with most of the league, aren't quick to hand out details about their injured players especially at this time of the season when injury reports aren't required. It wouldn't be a shock if Nabers missed the final Giants pre-season game next week.

| Disciplinary hearing for Rashee Rice scheduled for Sep. 30th Will be available for first four games By: Mike Krueger | Aug 14 2025, 10:46 am

ESPN sources: Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is expected to have his disciplinary hearing with the NFL on Tuesday, Sept 30 in New York. This means that Rice now is likely to be able to play the first four weeks of this season before any potential discipline is imposed for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: This isn't great for fantasy GMs and it seems like the league is orchestrating this so Rice will be available for early-season marquee games against against the Chargers (Brazil), Eagles and Ravens. A four-to-six game suspension is still a likely scenario which would potentially occur in the middle of the season. Rice is currently valued at around WR24 in Half-PPR leagues.

| James Cook, Bills finalize 4-year contract extension $30 million guaranteed By: Mike Krueger | Aug 13 2025, 7:30 am

A deal has been reached: Two-time Pro Bowl RB James Cook and the Buffalo Bills reached agreement a contract extension, per his agents Zac Hiller and Matt Leist of LAA. The deal includes the most guaranteed money for a running back in the last five years. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Cook ended his hold-in yesterday which helped move the process along and now a deal is done which is a 4-year extension and includes $30 million guaranteed. Cook posted a 1009-16, 32-258-2 line last season on his was to a RB10 finish in Half-PPR leagues. Bills GM Brandon Beane on RB James Cook's role: "We do see him as a three-down type of player. We do feel he can take more, but we like to use our three options and keep him fresh."

| Brandon Aiyuk likely to return in early October Shanahan: WR is "on track" to return around Week 6 By: Doug Orth | Aug 12 2025, 10:10 pm

Kyle Shanahan said all of the 49ers' ACL guys - including Brandon Aiyuk - are on track to be back around Week 6, he said. He said there's a range of weeks that Aiyuk could actually be back in a game, but that's the rough estimate at this point. (The Athletic - Matt Barrows)
FFToday's Take: This suggests that Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall will each have a nice runway for the first half of the season if they can get healthy in time for Week 1. Given how uncertain Aiyuk's return date sounds, there is a world Jennings and Pearsall can operate as clear starters for at least half of the season. Outside of the receivers, Aiyuk's absence figures to boost the floors of Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.

| Jordan Love going under the knife Packers QB expected to return in a few days By: Doug Orth | Aug 12 2025, 10:00 pm

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said QB Jordan Love is undergoing a procedure on his left thumb. It’s a ligament issue. That’s why he had it taped yesterday in practice. Said the hope is for Love to return to practice next week. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)
FFToday's Take: It appears to be a minor issue. Fantasy managers would be wise to monitor his practice participation next week, although the good news is that the injury is to his non-throwing hand. Until further notice, continue to draft Love as a high-end QB2.

| Tyjae Spears suffers sprained ankle Preseason Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Aug 9 2025, 11:45 pm

#Titans RB Tyjae Spears' initial injury diagnosis is a high ankle sprain per sources. (Turron Davenport on X)
FFToday's Take: We still need more information on Spears' injury but this isn't great news. Depending on the severity, Spears could be in danger of missing Week 1 which would leave Tony Pollard closer to a workhorse role. Spears dealt with ankle and hamstring injuries last season, playing in just 12 games.

| Jayden Reed dealing with sprained foot Spotted in a walking boot By: Mike Krueger | Aug 9 2025, 11:29 pm

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said he is hopeful that WR Jayden Reed will be ready for Week 1. Reed is dealing with a sprained foot that one source described as leaving him “day to day.” (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Reed did not play in the Packers pre-season Week 1 game Saturday against the Jets. LaFleur didn't describe the injury specifically so there's no real timetable for his return. The Packers have a number of options at the position including Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks who can handle receiving duties if Reed isn't ready for Week 1.
| Bills optimistic Khalil Shakir will be ready for Week 1 Ankle injury By: Mike Krueger | Aug 7 2025, 9:07 am

Bills HC Sean McDermott said he’s being told as of now that WR Khalil Shakir should be on pace to return for the start of the season.
Shakir is dealing with a high ankle sprain. (Joe Buscaglia on X)
FFToday's Take: High ankle sprains can linger so even if Shakir is ready for Week 1, it doesn't mean he's going to be near 100 percent. However, it does sound like the Bills will have their top wideout in some capacity to start the season. Shakir went down in practice on 8/3. His value is currently hovering around WR44 in half-PPR leagues.

| Jordan Addison handed three-game ban Suspended for violating substance abuse policy By: Doug Orth | Aug 5 2025, 10:20 pm

Discipline: NFL suspended Vikings WR Jordan Addison for the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the league’s Substances of Abuse Policy.
Addison now will miss games at Chicago, vs. the Falcons and vs. the Bengals. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: The three-game suspension is about what most fantasy managers expected. The good news is that it might turn him into a slight value in fantasy drafts and the suspension ends before bye weeks become an issue. The bad news is that managers probably will not get enough of a discount on him to make him a flex or WR4 option in most drafts. During his suspension, Jalen Nailor stands a great chance of being flex-worthy.

| Keenan Allen rejoining LA Chargers WR returns to team who drafted him in 2013 By: Doug Orth | Aug 5 2025, 10:00 pm

Reunion: Six-time Pro Bowl WR Keenan Allen is signing with the #Chargers on a one-year, $8.52 million deal, sources tell me and
@RapSheet. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: After leading the Bears in receiving during his one-year stay in Chicago, it is a mild surprise that it took until early August for a team to meet Allen's asking price. Regardless, Allen figures to take over primary slot duties while Ladd McConkey and Tre Harris live on the perimeter. McConkey may take a slight hit, but his managers should not be threatened by the possibility that he falls out of WR1 territory. On the other hand, Harris probably goes from a high-upside WR4 option to more of a WR5 with spike-week potential.

| Emeka Egbuka the talk of training camp QB and GM thrilled with rookie's readiness By: Doug Orth | Aug 4 2025, 5:00 pm

The Bucs surprised many when they used the No. 19 pick in April to select WR Emeka Egbuka. They'd just re-signed Chris Godwin to a three-year contract, they still have veteran Mike Evans playing well and their 2024 third-round pick, Jalen McMillan, caught seven touchdown passes in their final five games of the season. Some wondered if the Egbuka pick meant they were worried about Godwin's recovery from his season-ending ankle injury. But again, they just gave Godwin a three-year deal, so they couldn't be that worried. My takeaway from my time in Tampa is that the Egbuka pick wasn't about Godwin as much as it's about Evans, who turns 32 later this month and has reached the point of his career when he's deciding year-to-year how long he wants to continue. It was also about the need for depth at that position. But more than anything, it was about Egbuka, who is the talk of training camp. (ESPN.com - Dan Graziano)
FFToday's Take: Graziano goes on to say that while the Bucs aren't counting out Godwin for Week 1, they believe there's a chance he could miss a couple of games at the start of the season. He also expects Egbuka to be a big part of things for whatever time Godwin is out, and maybe even once he's back. Godwin appears to be a total wild card at this point, if only because he will need some time to ramp up and become a full-time player, and that's only if he doesn't have a setback. Egbuka is not a player fantasy managers should feel obligated to reach for (at least not yet), but he should be going much higher than his current Round 9-10 ADP.

| Alexander Mattison turning heads? Free-agent pickup enjoying a strong camp By: Doug Orth | Aug 4 2025, 4:00 pm

If the coaches are listening to Tyreek Hill and looking for a replacement for De'Von Achane in short-yardage situations, keep an eye on veteran running back Alexander Mattison. Miami loves Achane and Jaylen Wright, and they drafted Ollie Gordon in the sixth round in April. But Mattison, the former Vikings and Raiders back, has opened a lot of eyes in camp and could be playing himself into a role. (ESPN.com - Dan Graziano)
FFToday's Take: This is the kind of news that virtually no fantasy manager wants to hear. Not only could it possibly put a cap on Achane's ceiling, but it would also make stashing Wright less meaningful. The odds are against Miami keeping four running backs on the roster, but it would say a lot about the backfield situation if the Dolphins choose to go in that direction.

| Isaac Guerendo out for a while RB expected to miss a few weeks with shoulder issue By: Doug Orth | Aug 4 2025, 3:40 pm

49ers RB Isaac Guerendo is expected to miss “a few weeks” with a shoulder injury, per Kyle Shanahan. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Guerendo is no stranger to injuries. although hamstring issues have usually been his downfall. "A few weeks" is a vague timeline, but we can probably assume this injury will force him to miss every preseason game. While this injury may free up Christian McCaffrey to handle more of the early-season workload than most were expecting, it could also give rookie Jordan James a chance to make his case to be the No. 2 in San Francisco. James' preseason will be one to monitor as a result of this news.

| D.J. Moore not going away anytime soon WR expected to be used "in a thoughtful way" By: Doug Orth | Aug 4 2025, 3:30 pm

The Bears will likely manufacture touches for D.J. Moore out of the backfield as well as a receiver - or both. Moore can line up in the backfield and still end up deep downfield for his targets.
Last season, Moore was relegated to hopeless screen plays and looked disengaged at times. The Bears will try to maximize his opportunities in a thoughtful way. (ESPN - Jeremy Fowler)
FFToday's Take: Even with the hype Rome Odunze is receiving this offseason and the additions of Colston Loveland and Luther Burden III, Moore will be no worse than a 1A or 1B option in the passing game. He probably won't run the ball as often as someone like Deebo Samuel, but it should be noted that he has handled at least 10 carries in three of his seven NFL seasons. Despite receiving a ton of hate from the fantasy community this offseason, Moore should be no worse than a serviceable WR2 again this season.

| Bucky Irving expected to have big role again Expected to pick up where he left off late last season By: Doug Orth | Aug 4 2025, 3:00 pm

(The Buccaneers) love (Bucky Irving), and while they also like Rachaad White and have a role planned for him, Irving is viewed by people in the building as special enough to warrant a high-volume RB1 role. That includes pass-catching work.
"His vision (makes him special). His timing of when he's supposed to hit the gas. He's patient, patient and then hits it. I just think he's always looking to score. It's tough to see in practice. Like, last year at this time I was like, 'Eh. We'll see. It looks good.' But didn't expect it to be like it was. He's just tough to bring down. He's strong, he's got great vision, he understands it, and then also you add in the ability to catch, too. He's well-rounded," Baker Mayfield told reporters recently. (ESPN.com - Dan Graziano)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers should not be overly surprised, but it would appear any talk about Irving losing work to White - as was the case throughout the first half of last season - should be taken with a grain of salt. While it seems unlikely that Tampa Bay would consistently give a sub-200 pound running back 20-plus touches for a full season, Irving regularly handled that kind of workload after the team's Week 11 bye. Do not hesitate to select Irving in the second round of fantasy drafts over the next month.

| Khalil Shakir week-to-week with high ankle sprain Bills top wideout will be held out of camp By: Mike Krueger | Aug 3 2025, 10:39 am

Bills WR Khalil Shakir is week to week with a high ankle sprain (Joe Buscaglia on X)
FFToday's Take: Shakir missed a week (5) last season with an ankle injury as well. This version is likely to keep him out most if not all of training camp. Shakir led the Bills last season in receptions (76) and yards (821) in 15 games played. This injury will ding his fantasy value and lower his ADP which currently sits at WR44, 86th overall in Half-PPR leagues.

| Isaiah Likely will miss time due to foot injury Surgery to fix broken bone in foot By: Mike Krueger | Jul 30 2025, 7:40 am

#Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely suffered a small foot fracture during Tuesday’s practice, sources told @jamisonhensley and me. If all goes well, it’s an early season return and Week 1 is possible. (Jeremy Fowler on X)
FFToday's Take: Likely is scheduled to have surgery on his foot. The timetable for recovery is six weeks which gives him a chance to be available for Week 1. Even if he's ready for the start of the season, a slow or limited start should be expected. He's lost some of his ceiling but Likely should still be considered a strong TE2 by mid-season.

| J.K. Dobbins picking things up quickly RB eyeing important role in Denver offense By: Doug Orth | Jul 28 2025, 11:00 pm

Payton says J.K. Dobbins’ transition to Denver’s offense has been “swift.” Previously said it was important to get that deal done with the veteran RB in early June so he could enter the offseason break with the playbook. (The Athletic - Nick Kosmider)
FFToday's Take: Dobbins makes a ton of sense for managers in the middle to late rounds in large part because he enters his second full season post-injury and does so in a very good offense. While RJ Harvey is not Alvin Kamara and Dobbins is not Mark Ingram, no one should be shocked if that is how HC Sean Payton uses them. Considering how good the Broncos' defense should be in 2025, both backs could be in for a ton of volume.

| Matthew Stafford limited by back soreness Week to week By: Mike Krueger | Jul 26 2025, 7:45 pm

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is dealing with back soreness, will not return to practice next week as anticipated, coach Sean McVay said Saturday. Even after Stafford returns to practice, the Rams intend to keep the quarterback on a modified schedule. On Saturday, McVay said Stafford did not experience a setback, but that it feels like "the smart thing to do a week at a time with him." (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: We'll see how long Stafford sits, but it would be nice to see him out there practicing and developing a rapport with Davante Adams. At this point, it doesn't sound like Stafford's in danger of missing Week 1 but this situation should be closely monitored.

| Treylon Burks injured: fractured collarbone Expected to miss the start of the season at least By: Mike Krueger | Jul 26 2025, 2:39 pm

#Titans WR Treylon Burks suffered a fractured collarbone here at their stadium practice, per me and @TomPelissero.
Burks will undergo further tests, but he’s expected to miss the start of the season at least. A frustrating outcome for the young pass catcher. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Burks has struggled to stay on the field during his short three-year career never playing more than 11 games during a season. He was limited to 5 games last season due to a knee injury. The Titans will move forward with Tyler Lockett, rookie Elic Ayomanor and Van Jefferson all competing for targets behind Calvin Ridley.

| Joe Mixon dealing with frustrating foot injury Out an extended period of time By: Mike Krueger | Jul 26 2025, 1:36 pm

#Texans RB Joe Mixon, who is on the non-football injury list, is expected to be out an extended period of time with a frustrating foot injury, sources say.
The Pro Bowler coming off a 1,000-yard season will be reevaluated closer to the season to determine his availability. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Not great. Mixon has handled 285 and 309 touches in each of the last two seasons. Being injured before we even get to Week 1 is an ominous sign. He's ADP will be falling in short order. Nick Chubb Woody Marks, and Dameon Pierce are next up on the depth chart. Chubb comes with his own injury history but has been working as the No.1 back thus far in training camp.
| Darnell Mooney out a few weeks with shoulder injury Falcons starting receiver By: Mike Krueger | Jul 25 2025, 9:24 pm

#Falcons WR Darnell Mooney has a shoulder injury and will miss a few weeks. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: "A few weeks" is going to drop Mooney's ADP as we roll into August. We're get likely to get more information on the specific injury soon. Perhaps an AC sprain? D.J. Chark was signed by Atlanta late this afternoon.

| Justin Fields day-to-day with dislocated toe Avoided serious injury By: Mike Krueger | Jul 24 2025, 2:01 pm

UPDATE: After medical evaluation, QB Justin Fields sustained a dislocated toe in his right foot and will be day-to-day. Fields avoided serious injury and significant missed time. (New York Jets on X)
FFToday's Take: Having a dislocated toe in training camp doesn't sound great for a quarterback that derives a big chunk of his fantasy value with his rushing ability. Still, this doesn't sound like this will be a significant injury. Bullet dodged for the Jets starting quarterback.
| Joe Mixon on NFI list to start training camp In a boot this Spring By: Mike Krueger | Jul 23 2025, 10:17 am

Texans placed RB Joe Mixon on the Non-Football Injury list. Mixon was in a boot throughout the spring, but he is expected to be OK fairly soon. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: It's not ideal to have Mixon missing the start of training camp with a relatively unknown injury, but it sounds like he should be back at camp soon. The Texans also have Nick Chubb, Woody Marks and Dameon Pierce on the roster.

| Diggs set to practice when Patriots open camp Wednesday ACL recovery By: Mike Krueger | Jul 22 2025, 8:22 am

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who reported to training camp Saturday with other rehabilitating players, is cleared to practice for the first day of training camp Wednesday, according to a source.
Diggs tore his right ACL in Week 8 of last season with the Houston Texans. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Diggs (31) has avoided the PUP list as the Patriots get set to open up camp. This is good news for the projected top wideout in the New England offense who sits atop the depth chart above Mack Hollins, Demario Douglas and Kyle Williams. It would be wise to project a slow start for Diggs but he's comfortably in the WR3 / Flex range for now.

| No team activities for Chris Godwin when camp begins Dislocated ankle By: Mike Krueger | Jul 21 2025, 1:00 pm

Chris Godwin will be held out of team-related activities to begin training camp while he recovers from a dislocated ankle.
Bucs veterans report to camp Tuesday with the first workout scheduled Wednesday morning. Godwin, 29, will work with trainers rehabbing the injury he sustained in Week 7 last season against the Ravens. (Tampa Bay Times)
FFToday's Take: Godwin will be eased into camp and likely see his workload increase as the Summer moves along. GM Jason Licht said "we're hopeful it's Week 1 but nobody can guarantee that". It wouldn't be a shock if Godwin missed the first couple weeks but that's just speculation. Rookie Emeka Egbuka is capable of filling Godwin's role and the team also has Jalen McMillan fourth on the depth chart.

| Will Levis out for the season, shoulder injury Will have surgery on July 29 By: Mike Krueger | Jul 21 2025, 9:55 am

#Titans QB Will Levis will undergo surgery on his throwing shoulder, sources say, ending his 2025 season. Surgery is July 29.
Levis has elected to have the procedure to ensure long-term health, based on medical opinions, one that should help him be ready for the 2026 season. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Levis has been battling this shoulder issue since last season and reportedly is still feeling discomfort. Cam Ward is expected to be the starter for the Titans in Week 1 but the team will now have to decide on their backup quarterback. Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle are currently on the roster.

Sources: Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams’ agent Tory Dandy informed the team last night that, after eight seasons, his client is retiring from the NFL. Williams walks away from the game at age 30. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Williams was placed on the PUP list a few days ago but has decided to end his time in the NFL, mostly spent with the Chargers. His best season came in 2021 when he finished with a 76-1146-9 line. The top of the Chargers wide receiver depth chart includes Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and rookie Tre Harris who has yet to sign his contract.

| Suspension likely coming for WR Rashee Rice Gets five years probation and 30 days of jail time By: Mike Krueger | Jul 17 2025, 12:02 pm

ESPN sources: A Dallas County judge just sentenced Chiefs WR Rashee Rice to five years probation and 30 days of jail time that can be served during those five years stemming for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason.
Now that the judge has ruled, the NFL can expedite its disciplinary process and Rice is likely to receive a multi-game suspension. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Most in the fantasy football community have been assuming zero games missed for the upcoming season. That's about to change. A four-game suspension wouldn't be shocking but we'll wait for the league to make it's ruling. For now, Rice's value will decline while we'll get a slight bump for Marquise Brown, Xavier Worthy and perhaps JuJu Smith-Schuster.
