Tyler Eifert to have ankle surgery
Could miss three months
By: Mike Krueger | May 24 2016, 1:51 pm

When Tyler Eifert left the Pro Bowl in a walking boot following an injury to his left ankle the initial diagnosis and estimates for his recover were promising. The Enquirer has learned from multiple league sources that the 25-year-old tight end will undergo what was deemed a "minimal procedure" on that ankle soon. A three month recovery is anticipated. FFToday's Take: This procedure puts Eifert's Week 1 status in doubt. The Bengals have lost Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu in free agency and are now struggling to field viable weapons for Andy Dalton. A.J. Green and Eifert are expected to be the top two options in the passing game. Assuming Eifert can return by Week 1 he'll come at a nice discount in redraft leagues.
