Philip Rivers hangs it up after 17 seasons
16 years with Chargers, 1 year with the Colts
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 20 2021, 9:32 am

Philip Rivers making his decision this early gives Colts clarity on their QB1 situation. They need one. Now they can ascertain how best to get the guy. It might be the draft. It might be a veteran once the QB market is determined in the coming weeks. (Mike Chappell on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Rivers spent 16 years with Chargers and 1 year with the Colts and played every game since he became the starter in 2006, including and AFC Championship game against the Patriots, just days after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus in his right knee. The Colts are officially in the market for a QB.
