49ers QB pulled at half in Week 4 due to calf injury

FFToday's Take: In theory, if Garoppolo is dealing with a calf bruise, he has a chance to play in Week 5. If he has any kind of calf strain, however, he should be expected to be sidelined until after the 49ers return from their Week 6 bye. Trey Lance simultaneously showed his upside and youth in relief of Garoppolo, but it should be noted that he posted at least 20 fantasy points in most scoring setups despite a lack of recent reps with the starters and a game plan built for Garoppolo. If Garoppolo sits as he should against the Cardinals in Week 5, Lance's dual-threat ability will put him in the low-end QB1 conversation.
