Giants TE Darren Waller calls it a career
Age 31
By: Mike Krueger | Jun 9 2024, 4:25 pm

The Giants have been informed that TE Darren Waller is retiring, per sources. This is was what they had been planning to be the end result. Team statement: “We have great respect for Darren as a person and player. We wish him nothing but the best.” (Jordan Raanan on X)

FFToday's Take: Waller would've earned $10 million this season but instead will call it a career. This leaves the Giants with Daniel Bellinger as their starting tight end along with Lawrence Cager and rookie Theo Johnson at the position. Waller was a key component of their offense last season which is likely be focused on rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers moving forward.
