Panthers bench Bryce Young
Andy Dalton set to start for foreseeable future

Sources: The #Panthers are benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this week. Coach Dave Canales has repeatedly said “Bryce is our quarterback.” But with the season quickly slipping away, Canales decided to make a change. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)

FFToday's Take: While there have been more issues than bad quarterback play, the Panthers have been a rough watch through two weeks. Canales seems to have little confidence in opening up the playbook for Young and Young appears to have lost confidence in himself. Dalton may not be a miracle worker, but there is a decent chance he will breathe some life into the offense and Diontae Johnson in particular. Expect Dalton to lean heavily on Johnson and Adam Thielen immediately, starting in Week 3 against the Raiders.
