Mike McCarthy said Jake Ferguson "will be hard pressed" to play Sunday at Washington. Ferguson has a concussion. (Dallas Morning News - Calvin Wat) FFToday's Take: Ferguson was injured early in the Cowboys' Monday night loss to the Houston Texans. One of the more encouraging things about the defeat was the play of backup tight ends Luke Schoonmaker (six catches for 56 yards on 10 targets) and Brevyn Spann-Ford (four catches for 42 yards on five targets). While some of the volume both players saw was a product of Cooper Rush attempting 55 passes, Schoonmaker also filled in capably for an injured Ferguson in Week 2. He has a chance to push for low-end TE1 numbers in Week 12 against the Commanders.
