Minnesota Vikings

Aaron Jones expected to miss at least one game
Suffered hamstring injury in Week 2
By: Doug Orth | Sep 15 2025, 5:25 pm

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is unlikely to play this week vs. Bengals, per coach Kevin O'Connell. (ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert)

FFToday's Take: After somewhat surprisingly holding up while handling a career-high 306 touches over 17 games last season, the 30-year-old Jones was always a poor bet to stay healthy all of this season. His expected absence - likely to be in the 2-3 week range - allows Jordan Mason to take on a featured role. The good news is that he will face the Bengals in his first game with the promise of a heavy workload. The bad news is that he likely to do so with a Minnesota offense that has struggled through two weeks and will turn to backup Carson Wentz with J.J. McCarthy expected to miss time with a sprained ankle.
