Ricky Pearsall nursing multiple injuries
WR may not be able to play in Week 16
By: Doug Orth | Dec 15 2025, 11:00 pm

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said "there is a concern" with WR Ricky Pearsall's injury status. But Shanahan said it "shouldn't rule him out for this week" but the knee combined with the ankle makes it tough. Likened it to QB Mac Jones dealing with similar knee issue. "It's real painful for awhile but it can go away. Not at all like it was when he first did it but it does take time for that pain to go away. Hopefully sooner than later." (ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner)

FFToday's Take: Pearsall suffered ankle and knee injuries against the Titans in Week 15, but not before he posted a 6-96-0 line on seven targets. Shanahan initially told reporters after the game that he thought Pearsall would be fine, but his quote above suggests fantasy managers should not be counting on him in Week 16. Making matters worse for his managers is that San Francisco plays on Monday night next week, meaning Pearsall would probably need to avoid the injury report altogether this week in order to be trusted in Week 2 of the fantasy playoffs.
