| Dak Prescott out multiple weeks with hamstring injury Cooper Rush next up on the depth chart By: Mike Krueger | Nov 4 2024, 1:42 pm
#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury was worse than initially feared. He is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.
In fact, this is not looking like a short-term injury. Cooper Rush is the team’s backup. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Dak is currently the QB15 in fantasy points per game but will now be replaced by Cooper Rush with Trey Lance serving as the backup. Rush poseted a 115-1-0 line filling in for Prescott yesterday against the Falcons. He's a low-end QB2 option moving forward with games against PHI, HOU, @WAS, and NYG next on the schedule.

| Brian Robinson Jr. Inactive for Week 9 Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 3 2024, 11:20 am
Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. is inactive today. Commanders expected he would be able to play but the pre-game warmup did not go well. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Over the weekend, it seemed like Robinson was on track to play but his pre-game workout didn't satisfy the coaches and trainers. With Robinson out, the Commanders will lean on Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols to handle the running back work. Ekeler is a viable RB2 option, especially in PPR leagues while McNichols is a low-end Flex option.

| Both Etienne and Bigsby likely to play Jags have numerous injuries on offense By: Mike Krueger | Nov 3 2024, 2:09 am
#Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (ankle) and RB Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) are both likely to play today, barring a setback, sources say.
It's the same for WR Brian Thomas Jr. (chest), though Gabe Davis (shoulder) appears to be more of a long-shot. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: The Jaguars are dealing with a number of injuries to their offensive personnel but it sounds like both running backs will be active which caps their ceiling. With Gabe Davis likely to miss, expect Parker Washington to get more looks this week against the Eagles who are giving up the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers.
| Jordan Love expected to start in Week 9 Groin injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 2 2024, 12:02 pm
#Packers QB Jordan Love - who’s listed as questionable with a groin injury - is expected to start Sunday’s game against the #Lions, per sources.
No setbacks or surprises during the week, and Love is ready to roll with the NFC North lead on the line. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Love injured his groin in Week 8 and was obviously limited before giving way to Malik Willis. He'll be a risky start this week in a decent matchup against the Lions.
| DK Metcalf out for Week 9 with knee injury Seahawks have a bye in Week 10 By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 3:55 pm
Seahawks have ruled out WR DK Metcalf for Sunday's game: (Bob Codotta on X)
FFToday's Take: This will be Metcalf's second missed game in a row with a knee issue. The Seahawks have a bye in Week 10, so the earliest we'll see Metcalf back on the field is Week 11 against the 49ers. Jake Bobo stepped into Metcalf's role last week, playing 76.5% of the snaps but only had 1 target. He won't be a recommended fantasy play against the Rams.
| Tee Higgins listed as Doubtful for Week 9 Quad injury By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 12:27 pm
Bengals WR Tee Higgins and LT Orlando Brown Jr. will both be doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Raiders game, coach Zac Taylor said.
S Geno Stone and DE Sam Hubbard should be good to go, Taylor said. (Ben Baby on X)
FFToday's Take: Higgins injured his quad in practice last Friday and is now likely to miss his second straight game. With Higgins out last week, Andrei Iosivas played the majority of snaps with Jermaine Burton and Trenton Irwin splitting the third wide receiver role. The Bengals are also capable of running more two-TE sets with Higgins out.

| Tyrone Tracy Jr. expected to clear concussion protocol Should play in Week 9 By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2024, 11:38 am
Tyrone Tracy Jr. is progressing again today. Barring an unexpected setback, the #Giants’ top RB is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol and start Sunday. (Pat Leonard on X)
FFToday's Take: We've seen Tracy take over the Giants backfield at times including last week when he finished with a 20-145-1, 2-5-0 line against the Steelers. Assuming he gets cleared, he should be lead back in Week 9 against the Commanders and be in the high-end RB2 mix with Devin Singletary working in a backup role.

| Puka Nacua added to injury report, knee Limited in practice on Thursday By: Mike Krueger | Oct 31 2024, 7:15 pm
Rams WR Puka Nacua was scheduled for his weekly press conference today, but was not able to do it because he left practice with a knee injury, per a team official. He will be listed as “limited” on the injury report. McVay next speaks tomorrow. This is the same knee as was previously injured, per team official. (Jourdan Rodrigue on X)
FFToday's Take: Not great. We'll have a better idea of the seriousness of Puka knee injury after practice tomorrow. He posted a 7-106-0 line last week after missing much of the season with a knee injury suffered in Week 1. The Rams visit the Seahawks in Week 9.

| Anthony Richardson benched Joe Flacco set to take over for the foreseeable future By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 10:00 pm
A QB change for the Colts: Indianapolis is benching former first-round pick Anthony Richardson and turning to veteran Joe Flacco, sources tell @FowlerESPN and me. Coaches met this morning and made the seismic organizational decision to change QBs. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Once HC Shane Steichen said everything was being evaluated, it felt like it was only a matter of time before the Colts made this change. Regardless of whether the move is the right thing for Richardson's future, there is little question fantasy managers of Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs are giddy. In the three games Flacco has logged significant snaps this season, Pittman is averaging 14.8 PPR fantasy points (6.3 with Richardson) while Downs is averaging 19.2 (9.6). Flacco is a very solid QB2 option with QB1 upside for however long he is the starter.

| DeAndre Hopkins expected to play more in Week 9 Limited to 23 snaps in KC debut in Week 8 By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 9:50 pm
DeAndre Hopkins made his Chiefs debut on Sunday, playing 23 of Kansas City’s 72 offensive snaps in the 27-20 victory. Hopkins caught two of his three targets for 29 yards in the contest. In his Monday news conference, head coach Andy Reid said Hopkins looked good in his first game with the club.
“He was chomping at the bit on the sideline wanting to play and at the same time, knowing that he didn’t have all of it down so there was a patience there. But he was into the game and I think you’ll be able to see more this next game," Reid said. (Pro Football Talk - Mike Florio)
FFToday's Take: A receiver should never be expected to play a full allotment of snaps in the same week he is acquired in a trade, so it did not come as a surprise that he logged only 23 snaps in Week 8. The good news is he will have a full week of practice heading into the Chiefs' Week 9 tilt against the Bucs, who have surrendered eight touchdowns to receivers over the last four games. Hopkins' fantasy managers should feel good about his ability to serve as a WR3 with upside this week.

| Tyrone Tracy in concussion protocol Week 9 status in doubt By: Doug Orth | Oct 29 2024, 9:40 pm
Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. told me as he was exiting the locker room that he is in the concussion protocol, so he was unavailable to answer questions due to the protocol's policy.
Career night with 145 yards and a TD in losing effort. (NorthJersey.com - Art Stapleton)
FFToday's Take: Tracy was injured late in Monday night's loss to the Steelers. The fact he suffered his brain injury on a Monday night gives him one less day to clear the five-step protocol before Sunday's tilt against the Commanders. Players can progress through the protocol in less than five days (as Marvin Harrison Jr. did recently), but it does not happen very often. Devin Singletary would be in line to make another start if Tracy is ruled out.

| Trade: Diontae Johnson headed to Baltimore Pick Swap: Panthers get a 5th round pick, give up a 6th By: Mike Krueger | Oct 29 2024, 2:08 pm
Trade: Carolina is sending wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN. Comp update: It’s a pick flop, with the Panthers getting a 5th-round pick for Diontae Johnson and a 6th, per sources. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Ravens bolster their offense by acquiring Johnson in a pick swap with the Panthers. This is good move for Lamar Jackson's value, who is already the No.1 quarterback in fantasy football. In Baltimore, Johnson will have to compete with Zay Flowers for targets along with the running game of Jackson and Derrick Henry. It's fair to wonder if he's going to get enough targets to see his fantasy value increase.

| ACL injury confirmed for Stefon Diggs Out for the season By: Mike Krueger | Oct 29 2024, 1:36 pm
A big loss: Texans WR Stefon Diggs suffered a season-ending knee injury Sunday vs. the Colts. What makes the season-ending torn ACL worse for Stefon Diggs is that he is on an expiring contract and set to become a free agent this off-season. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Texans have missed Nico Collins for the last couple games and will now be without Diggs for the rest of the season. Tank Dell has been a disappointment this season but is going to be needed even more now beginning Thursday night against the Jets. Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods and John Metchie are next up on the depth chart.

| Jordan Love dealing with a groin strain Day-to-day By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 7:10 pm
Source: #Packers QB Jordan Love’s MRI came back with some good news. It’s a strained groin, nothing major.
No surprise. He’ll get better every day and do treatment and monitor throughout the week. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: Love has not been able to catch much of a break yet from the injury gods yet this season, dealing with this injury about a month after returning from a Week 1 knee issue. The Utah State product is coming off his worst game of the season - in part because he was hobbled by his groin injury early and exited the game for good early in the second half. While backup Malik Willis has played well when called upon this season, the Packers likely need Love to have any chance to go toe-to-toe with the Lions in Week 9.

| Anthony Richardson may not start in Week 9 HC: "We're evaluating everything." By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 7:00 pm
Colts HC Shane Steichen was asked directly if QB Anthony Richardson will start Sunday against the #Vikings and he was noncommittal:
"We're evaluating everything." (The Athletic - James Boyd)
FFToday's Take: Richardson finished 10-of-32 for 175 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Week 8, which falls in line with most of his box scores this season. Much as has been the case all season, he wasn't nearly as inaccurate as his final line suggests and didn't get a lot of help from his teammates in some critical situations. With that said, HC Shane Steichen has already seen plenty of proof that the offense works much better with Joe Flacco right now. Consider Richardson's status as a 50-50 proposition heading into Week 9 against the Vikings.

| Stefon Diggs likely to miss some time Scheduled to undergo an MRI on Week 8 knee injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 6:30 pm
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a non-contact knee injury late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Colts.
He was attempting to run a route when he grabbed at his right knee. Trainers checked on him for several minutes. He was able to walk off on his own power after a few minutes, but headed straight for the locker room after getting up.
He was later ruled out in the fourth quarter for the remainder of the game and never returned to the sideline. (Houston Chronicle)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers should expect Diggs to land on IR. At the very least, it seems highly unlikely he will be able to play Thursday against the Jets. With Nico Collins (hamstring) still one week away from being eligible to return and Diggs almost certainly out for Week 9, Tank Dell should be expected to be featured against the Jets' tough secondary. Robert Woods, John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson are all also in play in deeper leagues, but Dell and Dalton Schultz will likely be the only pass-catchers worth using in most formats this week.

| DK Metcalf trending toward a Week 9 return Missed Week 8 with knee injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 28 2024, 6:20 pm
Mike Macdonald again says it's “looking optimistic" that DK Metcalf will be back this week. But they need to see him practice first, then go from there. (Michael-Shawn Dugar on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Metcalf was reportedly close to playing in Week 8 before the team thought better of it. At the very least, it speaks to the likelihood that Metcalf will be able to go in Week 9 against the Rams. Los Angeles has shored up some of its issues on the back end of its defense in recent weeks, but a trip to Seattle to face one of the more pass-happy teams in the league could be more than it can handle. If Metcalf plays, fantasy managers should be confident in his ability to perform at a WR2 level at worst.

| Christian Kirk out for the season, broken collarbone Jags wideout was on the trade market By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2024, 9:14 pm
#Jaguars WR Christian Kirk suffered a broken collarbone today, per source. Expected to miss the rest of the season. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Rumors surrounding a potential trade involving Kirk had been circulating this week. This injury will obviously prevent any deal from happening. The Jags used both of their tight ends in the passing game today including backup Brenton Strange (5-59-0) who saw 5 targets. The passing game will continue to focus on Brian Thomas Jr and TE Evan Engram moving forward.
| Tee Higgins Inactive for Week 8, quad injury Third missed game this season By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2024, 11:15 am
#Bengals WR Tee Higgins will be inactive today against the #Eagles.
Higgins pulled his quad running a route on air in practice Friday. He wanted to play today but just couldn’t do it physically. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Oooof. This will be the third game Higgins has missed this season. He injured his hamstring in the week leading up to Week 1 which caused him to miss two games and now this. Andrei Iosivas becomes a viable option Flex option in deep leagues.
| Deebo Samuel expected to play Week 8 Illness By: Mike Krueger | Oct 26 2024, 11:12 pm
49ers WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable for Sunday night due a wrist injury and the illness that left him hospitalized last week, is expected to play vs. the Cowboys, per source. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Deebo logged a grand total of 4 snaps last week and was later hospitalized with pneumonia. How much stamina he has this week is anybody's guess. The 49ers and Cowboys play Sunday which adds another wrinkle for fantasy owners. He'll be an uneasy WR2 play in Week 8.
| Jonathan Taylor expected to play in Week 8 Off the injury report By: Mike Krueger | Oct 25 2024, 3:49 pm
#Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is officially off the injury report and good to go Sunday vs. Houston.
WRs Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr. also will play. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Taylor has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle but will make his return in Week 8 against the Texans. There's been no indication of a limited role but the matchup isn't great as the Texans have given up the 4th fewest fantasy points to the position. He's in the RB2 range for this week.
| Tee Higgins added to injury report, Questionable Limited in practice Friday with quad injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 25 2024, 2:20 pm
#Bengals WR Tee Higgins is listed as questionable for Sunday with a quad injury.
Higgins was limited in practice today and his status will be monitored through the weekend.
Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee) and safety Geno Stone (shin) both went full today and do not have a game status. (Jay Morrison on X)
FFToday's Take: Getting added to the injury report late in the week is never a good sign. Higgins has already missed two games this season with a hamstring issue. Andrei Iosivas could get a bump in targets if Higgins misses against the Eagles.
| Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen ruled out for Week 8 Panthers thin at WR By: Mike Krueger | Oct 25 2024, 12:34 pm
The #Panthers ruled out WRs Diontae Johnson (rib) and WR Adam Thielen (hamstring), while QB Andy Dalton (right thumb) is doubtful.
So it'll be Bryce Young throwing to backup receivers on Sunday in Denver. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Welcome back to the starting lineup Bryce Young! Without Johnson and Thielen, the Panthers will roll out a receiving corps of Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker and Jonathan Mingo. All of these guys can be avoided in a bad matchup against the Broncos defense.
| Puka Nacua expected to play Thursday night Hasn't played since Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Oct 24 2024, 4:02 pm
Now official: The #Rams have activated Puka Nacua from injured reserve. Don’t expect him to play a normal snap count tonight, but another boost for L.A. nonetheless. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: It's likely that Puka (knee) will be limited but we just don't really know at this point. Given that his snaps could be limited, he's extremely risky for starting lineups this week, even in a great matchup against the Vikings.
| Cooper Kupp expected to play Thursday night Hasn't played since Week 2 By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2024, 4:04 pm
After a week’s worth of full practices, Rams WR Cooper Kupp is off the injury report and expected to play Thursday night vs. the Vikings. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Kupp hasn't played since Week 2 when he injured his ankle and was subsequently put on IR. He'll immediately improve the Rams receiver room which should now feature Kupp, Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell as the top three options for Matthew Stafford. The Vikings have given up the more fantasy points to wide receivers than any other team in the league.
| Jameis Winston expected to start in Week 8 Browns By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2024, 9:53 am
Jameis Winston will be named the #Browns starter today over Dorian Thompson-Robinson for the #Ravens game on Sunday, source says. (Mary Kay Cabot on X)
FFToday's Take: With Deshaun Watson suffering an Achilles injury last week and DTR injuring his finger, Winston will get the start against the Ravens in Week 8. This should be a boost to the Browns pass catchers but TE David Njoku will be the most reliable. Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman will be risky Flex options at wide receiver. On the plus side, the Ravens have given up the 3rd-most fantasy points to Quarterbacks.

| Chiefs-Titans working on trade for DeAndre Hopkins Titans will receive a conditional fourth-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2024, 6:55 am
The Titans and Chiefs are working to finalize a trade that would send wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Kansas City, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Titans would receive a conditional fourth-round pick in a trade that is expected to be completed Wednesday, sources said. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: The Chiefs are in dire need of a receiver after losing Marquise Brown (shoulder), Rashee Rice (knee) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) this season. Hopkins will try and get up to speed quickly and likely be on the field this weekend in a limited role against the Raiders. Once he gets up to speed, he'll likely be a weekly Flex option in most 12-team fantasy leagues.

| Puka Nacua nearing return WR has been sidelined since Week 1 with knee issue By: Doug Orth | Oct 22 2024, 5:30 pm
Puka Nacua, whose knee injury has limited him to just 25 snaps so far in 2024, had his 21-day practice window opened by the club, officially designating his return from injured reserve and bringing his presence back to the practice field on Tuesday.
Nacua had been dealing with a knee issue through training camp and the preseason but aggravated the injury midway through the second quarter of the Rams' Week 1 overtime loss to the Lions. The second-year wideout had four receptions for 35 yards before his early exit. (Around the NFL)
FFToday's Take: While it is possible Nacua could return in Week 8, it seems extremely unlikely considering the Rams play on Thursday this week. A Week 9 return seems more likely. Either way, Nacua should serve as a high-end WR2 immediately upon his return. If he is truly 100 percent healthy, it should surprise no one if he quickly moves up to low-end WR1 status.

| Chris Godwin out for the season Suffered dislocated ankle in Week 7 By: Doug Orth | Oct 22 2024, 5:25 pm
The Buccaneers' Chris Godwin will undergo surgery for a dislocated left ankle and will likely be done for the year, coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday, one day after the star wide receiver was carted off the field in the final minute of a "Monday Night Football" loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
"There's a chance if we make a late playoff run, he could be back," Bowles said of Godwin, whom he said did have some additional structural damage to the ankle, "but he's undergoing surgery and he's going to be out." (ESPN.com - Jenna Laine)
FFToday's Take: Godwin was injured in the final minute of the team's 41-31 loss to the Ravens, which has led to many questioning why he was still in the game at that point. Either way, Tampa Bay will likely be without his top two receivers for at least a month after Mike Evans went down with a hamstring injury earlier in the contest. Cade Otton has recorded more than twice as many snaps in the slot as the next closest Buc and could be the one Tampa Bay player that benefits the most statistically. Jalen McMillan would make the most sense, however, after he served in that role for the University of Washington last season and was a player that the coaching staff raved about this summer.
| Mike Evans expected to be sidelined for a while Likely out through team's Week 11 bye By: Doug Orth | Oct 22 2024, 5:00 pm
Mike Evans, the Bucs' other star receiver and franchise leading scorer, suffered what Bowles described as a "moderate" hamstring strain and will be sidelined "a couple weeks." He said Evans likely won't return until after the team's Week 11 bye week. Evans had entered the game with a hamstring strain, missing practices Thursday and Friday before doing some limited work Saturday and carrying no injury designation entering the game. But on a 24-yard sprint into the end zone on a go route, Evans suffered an injury to a different portion of the hamstring. He fell to the grass and immediately grabbed the back of his leg. (ESPN.com - Jenna Laine)
FFToday's Take: Just a brutal blow for the Bucks and Evans' fantasy managers. Not only does it look like Evans will not go on IR, but they can figure on not having him for at least four weeks. Along with Chris Godwin's season-ending ankle injury, the Bucs have no choice but to rely more heavily on Cade Otton, Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard and Trey Palmer. Otton and McMillan figure to be the most likely to benefit from that group, although the Bucs could opt to rely more heavily on the running game instead.

| Christian McCaffrey on the verge of return? Likely back in Week 10; has small chance of suiting up in Week 8 By: Doug Orth | Oct 21 2024, 11:55 pm
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters that he would be “surprised” if Christian McCaffrey were able to play Sunday night vs. the Cowboys, but he added that San Francisco’s star RB could be back after the bye on Nov. 10 vs. the Buccaneers. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: The majority of fantasy managers would also be "surprised" as well. Despite how much San Francisco needs healthy bodies right now, the 49ers have taken the smart approach so far with CMC and seem likely to hold him out one more week before their Week 9 bye. Considering he has reportedly been setback-free since returning from Germany, that would give him about three weeks to get his commissioning back to where he wants it to be. Especially with how beat up San Francisco is right now, expect McCaffrey to handle 18-plus touches as soon as he can play.

| George Kittle diagnosed with sprained foot Considered day-to-day By: Doug Orth | Oct 21 2024, 11:50 pm
George Kittle has a sprained foot and is considered day to day. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Kittle was the only key pass-catcher to finish the game for the 49ers in Week 7 and may be the only one that has a chance to suit up in Week 8. Deebo Samuel (illness) most likely not play and Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is done for the season, while Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) probably won't be ready to go until after the team's Week 9 bye. Assuming Kittle can play through his injury, he is in great shape to be a top-five fantasy tight end again in Week 8 against the Cowboys. If not, Eric Saubert could be an option in tight end premium leagues.
| Deebo Samuel dealing with pneumonia No timeline for his return By: Doug Orth | Oct 21 2024, 11:40 pm
49ers WR Deebo Samuel has been hospitalized due to pneumonia and fluid in his lungs. There is no timeline for his return. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: It is anyone's guess as to whether Samuel felt ill before the game, but it would seem likely since he only played four snaps in Week 7. That is a problem considering pneumonia is contagious, so we might be reading about other 49ers coming down with it in the coming days or weeks. At any rate, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing will likely be needed for important roles in Week 8 with Samuel likely out and moving forward after Brandon Aiyuk (knee) was lost for the year over the weekend.
| Bucs lose Evans and Godwin in Week 7 Hamstring for Evans, Dislocated ankle for Godwin By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2024, 11:35 pm
Buccaneers believe WR Chris Godwin dislocated his ankle. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: We saw a number of injuries in Week 7 including two on Monday night to starting Buccaneers wide receivers. Mike Evans left early, aggravating his hamstring injury. Chris Godwin was injured with under a minute left in the game and appears to have suffered a dislocated ankle that will likely end his season. Tampa's Week 8 game against the Falcons could feature Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard and Trey Palmer at receiver.
| Brandon Aiyuk done for the year Torn ACL and MCL By: Doug Orth | Oct 21 2024, 7:10 pm
49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk suffered a season-ending knee injury on Sunday, tests confirmed. (FOX Sports - Jordan Schultz)
FFToday's Take: Even though Aiyuk was far from the fantasy force this season as he has been in years past, he will be difficult to replace even as first-round rookie Ricky Pearsall made his NFL debut in Week 7. Jauan Jennings (hip) will likely move into the starting lineup opposite Deebo Samuel (illness), although neither player is in great shape right now. Jennings should be the bigger priority if he is available on waivers, but Pearsall might end up being the more valuable property as he gets more comfortable in the offense.
| DK Metcalf diagnosed with minor MCL sprain Considered week-to-week By: Doug Orth | Oct 21 2024, 7:00 pm
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf - who left Sunday’s win over Atlanta with a knee injury - suffered a Grade 1 sprained MCL and now will be considered “week to week”, per source. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: It's a bummer for one of the league's more durable receivers, but the good news is that he may not miss any games. (Roome Odunze played through a similar injury earlier this season.) With that said, Metcalf's specific injury usually carries a recovery timeline of 1-3 weeks. As such, Seattle could easily decide to sit him for the next two games leading into its Week 10 bye to give him almost a month to get right. Jake Bobo is expected to step into his role in the offense, although Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett should be considered strong WR3 options at worst in his absence.

| MRI confirms torn Achilles for Deshaun Watson 2024 season over By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2024, 10:59 am
An MRI revealed that Browns QB Deshaun Watson’s Achilles is in fact ruptured, as suspected, and his 2024 season is over. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Watson and the Browns offense have struggled through seven weeks of the 2024 season on their way to a 1-6 record. Backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson (finger) was also injured in Week 7 which allowed emergency QB Jameis Winston to see action in the 4th quarter. It remains to be seen who will get the start in Week 8 against the Ravens.

| Cooper Kupp unlikely to play in Week 7 Will work out during pre-game By: Mike Krueger | Oct 20 2024, 5:22 pm
Rams WR Cooper Kupp, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an ankle injury, is unlikely to play vs. the Raiders, per sources. Rams still want to work out Kupp pre-game before making any decision about him.
Rams WR Jordan Whittington, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a shoulder injury, is expected to play vs. the Raiders, per source. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Kupp suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 and hasn't played since. If he sits, which seems likely, the Rams will roll out Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Whittington as their top three receivers against the Raiders. Expect a heavy dose of Kyren Williams in this game.
| Kenneth Walker downgraded to Questionable, illness Week 7 By: Mike Krueger | Oct 19 2024, 4:21 pm
The #Seahawks added RB Kenneth Walker III to the injury report and he is now questionable for Sunday's game against the #Falcons because of an illness. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: We'll have to wait for further reporting on his status, but for now Walker owners should get plan B in place. The Seahawks and Falcons kick off at 1 PM Eastern on Sunday, so we should know all the details before early lock. Zach Charbonnet would step into a big role if Walker were to sit.

Cardinals rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. is out of the concussion protocol and will play Monday night against the Chargers, coach Jonathan Gannon said today. (Josh Weinfuss on X)
FFToday's Take: Harrison suffered a concussion in Week 6 against the Packers but was able to clear protocol in time for Week 7. A feat that doesn't happen a lot in today's NFL. Harrison is currently the WR35 in fantasy points per game (Half-PPR) and the Chargers have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position.
