| Mark Andrews expected to play Week 2 Practiced in full on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Sep 17 2023, 7:00 am
#Ravens TE Mark Andrews, listed as questionable because of a quad injury, is expected to play on Sunday, source said. He was a full participant on Friday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Ravens tight end missed Week 1 but is expected to play this week against the Bengals. Against Cincinnati last season, he posted an 8-89-1 line back in Week 5 and a 5-73-0 in the AFC Wildcard game. He'll be in the TE1 conversation this week.

| Brandin Cooks not expected to play Week 2 Knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 16 2023, 11:50 pm
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks, listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, is not expected to play, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday night.
Cooks, 29, suffered a slight sprain of the medial collateral ligament in one knee in a 40-0 victory over the New York Giants in Week 1 (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Cooks missed practice this week so this was the likely outcome. In his absence, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup will be the top two targets on the outside against the Jets with Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin also in the mix. Gallup has sneaky upside as a low-owned option in DFS.

| Aaron Jones, Christian Watson not expected to play Key Packers expected to sit Week 2 By: Mike Krueger | Sep 16 2023, 11:45 pm
The Green Bay Packers will likely be without two of their top offensive players when they take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Running back Aaron Jones and wide receiver Christian Watson, both listed as questionable for the game, are expected to be sidelined with hamstring injuries, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Watson was the only one of the duo to get in a limited session on Friday. Green Bay will be short-handed in their matchup against the Falcons. Expect AJ Dillon to handle the bulk of the running back work. He's a viable RB2 based on volume. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed should be the top two targets at wide receiver for Jordan Love but both are nothing more than Flex options.
| Amari Cooper added to injury report, Questionable Groin injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 16 2023, 12:57 pm
#Browns Amari Cooper aggravated his groin injury on Saturday and is questionable for the #Steelers game; Juan Thornhill is questionable too. Kevin Stefanski can't say if he's optimistic Cooper will play. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Cooper got in a full practice on Friday but is now in danger of missing Monday night's game with the Steelers. The Browns would likely lean on Elijah Moore, Donovan Peoples-Jones and David Njoku in the passing game if Cooper were to miss.
| Jerry Jeudy good to go for Week 2 Missed Week 1 with hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 15 2023, 4:18 pm
#Broncos coach Sean Payton told reporters that WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) is good to go for Sunday vs. Washington. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Jeudy injured his hamstring in late August and missed Week 1 as a result. He should immediately vault into the top receiving option for Russell Wilson and the Broncos who face the Commanders in Week 2. Washington gave up 80 yards to the Cardinals receivers in Week 1.
| Austin Ekeler listed as Doubtul, ankle injury Unlikely to play By: Mike Krueger | Sep 15 2023, 4:06 pm
#Chargers edge Joey Bosa is questionable for Sunday vs. the #Titans. So potentially two stars absent, with Austin Ekeler (ankle) listed as doubtful. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We haven't heard officially if this is a high-ankle sprain for Ekeler but in any case he will miss this week's game against the Titans. Joshua Kelley is expected to start against an historically solid Titans defense that gave up the fewest fantasy points to running backs in Week 1. Kelley is more of a mid-range RB2 based on expected volume.
| Puka Nacua Questionable, but expected to play Oblique By: Mike Krueger | Sep 15 2023, 2:31 pm
Rookie WR Puka Nacua (oblique) will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers, but Sean McVay said the Rams are expecting him to be ready to go. (Sarah Bishop on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Rams haven't listed their final injury report yet, so this is a good sign that Nacua is likely to be active and play this week in a tough matchup against the 49ers. Nacua tied Tyreek Hill for the most targets (15) by a wide receiver in Week 1 and was a hot option on the waiver wire.
| Travis Kelce expected to play Week 2 Will he be limited? By: Mike Krueger | Sep 15 2023, 2:06 pm
Andy Reid said Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) & Nick Bolton (excused for personal reasons) missed today's practice.
Andy Reid said this on Chris Jones & Travis Kelce: "They did a good job. As long as nothing happens, they'll be out there (Sunday against the Jaguars). (Nate Taylor on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Kelce missed Week 1 with a bone bruise, hyper-extended knee but is expected to play against the Jaguars. It's not clear at this time if he'll be limited. Even if he is, he should be in your lineup given state of the tight end position.

| Jakobi Meyers unlikely to play in Week 2, concussion Raiders WR still in concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Sep 15 2023, 10:59 am
#Raiders coach Josh McDaniels indicates that WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) is doubtful to play this week. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Raiders used a lot of two TE sets in Week 1 with Davante Adams and Meyers operating out wide, but with Myers is still in the concussion protocol, the Raiders are likely to increase the opportunities for Hunter Renfrow who played just 22% of the snaps in Week 1. Still, you'll need a leap of faith to play Renfrow in your Flex spot.
| Aaron Jones, Christian Watson miss practice Thursday Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 14 2023, 1:14 pm
Quay Walker (concussion) is still in the protocol, but he’s progressed to the point where he’s going through some drills.
Aaron Jones (hamstring) had a helmet but stayed inside to rehab. Christian Watson (hamstring) also rehabbing. No David Bakhtiari per usual practice plan. (Rob Demovsky on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Injury of the year thus far is the hamstring. Both Watson and Jones are suffering from it, and both are in doubt for Week 2. If Jones misses, the Packers will likely lean on AJ Dillon who hasn't been a great fantasy asset lately but should get enough volume to be a Flex option.
| Kenneth Gainwell ruled Out for Week 2 Rib injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 13 2023, 4:12 pm
The Eagles have ruled out CB James Bradberry (concussion), RB Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) and S Reed Blankenship (ribs). DT Fletcher Cox (ribs) is questionable. (Andrew Krammer on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Gainwell operated as the lead back for the Eagles in Week 1, playing 62% of the snaps. This could open the door for D'Andre Swift and perhaps Rashaad Penny who was inactive. Boston Scott is still in mix as well, but Swift is the most likely to be the biggest beneficiary of this news.

| Aaron Rodgers done for the year Torn Achilles By: Doug Orth | Sep 12 2023, 11:00 pm
An MRI confirmed today that Aaron Rodgers officially tore his Achilles on the fourth play of his Jets’ career. Rodgers’ season now, officially, is over. There already are questions about whether his Hall-of-Fame career is, too. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: As a quarterback set to turn 40 years old in December, there is a distinct possibility that Rodgers calls it a career after such a devastating injury. With that said, the move to New York seemed to bring a joy back to him that likely did not exist over his final years with the Packers. Zach Wilson is expected to be little more than a game manager and should be considered no more than a low-end QB2. At best, he shows enough progress over the course of the season to help Garrett Wilson remain a low-end WR1, but that is a lot to ask.

| Greg Dulcich out with hamstring injury, again Same hamstring issue he dealt with last year By: Mike Krueger | Sep 12 2023, 10:35 am
#Broncos TE Greg Dulcich, the team's pass catching TE that during camp Sean Payton said would play the "Joker" role for Denver at times, is expected to miss some time with a hamstring injury. It's the same hamstring as last year. (James Palmer on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Broncos moved on from Albert Okwuegbunam who is now in Philadelphia and have just Adam Trautman and Chris Manhertz. Denver was also without the services of WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) in Week 1. Dulchich has been battling his hamstring issue ever since last season. Trautman will be a TE2 streaming option in Week 2 against the Commanders.
| Diontae Johnson expected to miss multiple weeks, hamstring Hamstring injury in Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Sep 12 2023, 9:59 am
Steelers’ WR Diontae Johnson is expected to be sidelined “a few weeks” due to the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday vs. the 49ers, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Johnson is just one of many players bitten by the hamstring bug this season. The Steelers will move forward with George Pickens, Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin as their top three receivers. Robinson will likely move to the outside with Austin in the slot. Pittsburgh does have a bye in Week 6, so it may not be until Week 7 before Johnson returns.

| Achilles injury likely for Aaron Rodgers Jets lose starting QB just four plays into season By: Mike Krueger | Sep 11 2023, 11:39 pm
Robert Saleh on Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles injury: “MRI is gonna confirm what we think is already gonna happen. But it’s not good.” (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Rodgers was injured on the first Jets' series of the season. An MRI on Tuesday is expected to confirm the news. You have to wonder is the might the last of Aaron Rodgers we seen on the field and this type of injury typically takes at least one year to recover from. Zach Wilson will step in and be the starting QB but he's likely nothing more than a game-manager with low-end QB2 fantasy value. This injury will also take the shine of Garrett Wilson's fantasy value.
| Christian Watson optimistic for Week 2 Hamstring injury sidelined him for the opener By: Doug Orth | Sep 11 2023, 4:40 pm
Christian Watson just spoke for a couple of minutes. He said there’s “a lot better chance” he plays Sunday in Atlanta than entering yesterday’s game but that he’s still taking it day by day. To his knowledge, he said, an IR stint has never been a possibility. (The Athletic - Matt Schneidman)
FFToday's Take: At this point, fantasy managers should consider Watson highly questionable for Week 2 - at least until he logs a full practice. Romeo Doubs had a pair of touchdowns in his absence in the opener and would stand to benefit the most again if Watson is sidelined. With that said, the Falcons - and namely A.J. Terrell - are likely to provide much more resistance than the Bears did in WEek 1. If Watson plays, he should be considered a high-upside WR3 option.
| Anthony Richardson should be OK for Week 2 Dealing with ankle and knee soreness By: Doug Orth | Sep 11 2023, 4:30 pm
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was sacked four times and took six quarterback hits in his debut Sunday. He also had 10 carries. Richardson hit his knee on the turf in the first quarter and endured a hit on his ankle late in the game. He and Steve Steichen both said after the loss to the Jaguars that Ricardson was fine, and the coach reiterated Monday the quarterback is fine. Steichen said Richardson has knee and ankle soreness and could have returned to the game. (PFT - Charean Williams)
FFToday's Take: Richardson was mostly efficient as a passer and productive as a runner in his NLFL debut, but these kinds of updates will become common for him moving forward if he doesn't learn to avoid contact more often. The No. 4 overall pick left the game for good in the final minutes of Week 1, but it sounds like the hit that sidelined him only took him out because the Colts were trailing by 10 at that point. Assuming he is mostly healthy, Richardson should be on the QB1 radar in Week 2 against the Texans.

| Jakobi Meyers dealing with concussion Posted nine catches in Las Vegas debut before exiting By: Doug Orth | Sep 11 2023, 4:20 pm
Raiders’ WR Jakobi Meyers is in concussion protocol. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Meyers was on the wrong end of a helmet-to-helmet collision late in the Raiders' win over the Broncos in Week 1. The former Patriot did more than enough for fantasy managers before leaving, however, finishing with nine catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns while Davante Adams dealt with Patrick Surtain II for most of the day. Adams will dominate targets more often than not moving forward, but this performance proves Meyers is a more-than-worthy flex option at worst. He should be considered a decent WR3 option next week against the Bills if he clears protocol in time.

| J.K. Dobbins done for the season, Achilles injury 2nd significant injury of his career By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 4:34 pm
Head Coach John Harbaugh announced that J.K. Dobbins has a torn Achilles and will miss the season. (Baltimore Ravens on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Dobbins missed all of 2021 with a serious knee injury and will miss most of 2023 with his second significant injury of his career. The Ravens will move forward with Justice Hill and Gus Edwards in the short-term but there remain plenty of free agent options available including Leonard Fournette and Kareem Hunt.

| Rashaad Penny expected to be a healthy scratch Eagles making touch decision at RB By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 12:05 pm
Running back Rashaad Penny is expected to be a healthy scratch today against the Patriots, league sources tell me and
@jctsports.
Penny, a five-year veteran with a career 5.7-yard rushing average, signed with the Eagles as a free agent in the offseason. (Olivia Reiner on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This comes as a big of a surprise, but does give a bit of a boost to D'Andre Swift's outlook against the Patriots today. Expect Kenneth Gainwell to be in the mix and Boston Scott to be active.
| Devon Achane expected to be Inactive Week 1 Raheem Mostert, Salvon Ahmed expected to handle RB work By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 9:20 am
Just mentioned on @NFLGameDay: #Dolphins rookie RB Devon Achane is expected to be inactive today against the #Chargers.
The third-round pick from Texas A&M missed time in camp with a shoulder injury and has some rust. Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed will carry the load. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Dolphins backfield has been narrowed down to Mostert and Ahmed which makes Mostert a solid RB2 play this week in a high-total (51.5) game against the Chargers who gave up the 7th most fantasy to running backs last season in Half-PPR leagues.
| Darren Waller should be good to go for SNF Tightness in his hamstring Friday By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 7:15 am
Per sources, the Giants believe TE Darren Waller (questionable, hamstring) should be ok to play tonight vs Cowboys. Waller reported tightness in his hamstring Friday and team held him back out of caution. (Dan Graziano on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The rash of hamstring injuries throughout the league has bit Waller too but it sounds like he'll be out there against the Cowboys. Waller's fantasy stock has picked up steam throughout training camp as he appears to be the favorite receiving target in the offense. We'll find out tonight if our suspicions are confirmed.

| Jerry Jeudy not expected to play in Week 1 Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 7:10 am
Broncos’ WR Jerry Jeudy, listed as questionable for today due to a hamstring injury, is not expected to play vs. the Raiders, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Jeudy got in some limited practice time this week but ultimately will sit out in order to heal his hamstring injury. This elevates the projected target volume for Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims who are fine fantasy options against the Raiders in Week 1.
| Romeo Doubs, expected to play but be limited Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 10 2023, 7:00 am
Packers’ WR Romeo Doubs, listed as questionable for today’s game due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play vs. the Bears but likely in a limited fashion, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Packers are struggling at receiver heading into Week 1 with Christian Watson missing this game with a hamstring injury of his own. Jayden Reed is squarely in play as DFS punt option and Samori Toure should see extended action as well. Both of these guys are shaky Flex options in redraft leagues.
| Mark Andrews unlikely to play Week 1 Quad injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 9 2023, 10:00 pm
#Ravens TE Mark Andrews, who has dealt with a quad injury for the last few weeks and is listed as questionable, is not likely to play vs the #Texans, per me and @TomPelissero. A bit of a surprise. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The hits just keep on coming. Another star fantasy player is set to miss Week 1. Without Andrews, Isaiah Likely will be a viable steaming TE option in against the Texans but the Ravens do have three capable receivers to lean on in Andrews’ absence.
| Rams place Cooper Kupp on IR, out four games Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 9 2023, 2:01 pm
Source: The #Rams are placing star WR Cooper Kupp on Injured Reserve to give him time for his hamstring to heal. Not a surprise, as coach Sean McVay acknowledged this was a possibility this week. He’s out four games. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Kupp aggravated his hamstring injury last week and has been traveling across the country looking for answers. Without Kupp, the Rams are lacking stable receiving talent at wideout with Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell and rookie Puka Nacua expected to be the top three options against the Seahawks in Week 1.
| Colts' RB Zack Moss downgraded to Doubtful Deon Jackson expected to start By: Mike Krueger | Sep 9 2023, 12:11 pm
Colts downgraded RB Zack Moss (forearm) to doubtful for Sunday’s opener vs. the Jaguars. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Moss unlikely to play, expect Deon Jackson and rookie Evan Hull to handle the majority of the running back duties for the Colts against the Jaguars. Jackson is a desperation Flex option with Colts expected to struggle on offense.
| Christian Watson Out for Wk 1, Doubs listed as Questionable Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 8 2023, 2:42 pm
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Christian Watson is OUT, and Romeo Doubs is questionable.
On Watson, LaFleur said he doesn't think it's going to be a 3-4 week thing but rather just week-to-week. (Rob Demovsky on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Doubs got in limited practices the last two days. If he can't go, the Packers will be rolling out Jayden Reed, Samori Toure and Dontayvion Wicks at receiver... two of which are rookies. Expect to see a lot of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon for Green Bay against the Bears.
| Darren Waller lands on Injury Report, Questionable Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 8 2023, 2:25 pm
Some interesting takeaways from the Giants injury report.
TE Darren Waller was limited in Friday's practice with a hamstring injury. He is now listed as questionable for Sunday night vs. Cowboys.
WR Wan'Dale Robinson is unlikely to play as he continues his comeback from torn ACL. He's one of three players listed as doubtful. (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Waller has been no stranger to the injury report in his career and it's more than concerning that he pops up here on a Friday. The Cowboys and Giants don't kickoff until Sunday night, so hopefully we'll get a better idea of his status on Sunday morning .

| D.J. Chark Out for Week 1, Adam Thielen Questionable Carolina thin at receiver By: Mike Krueger | Sep 8 2023, 12:32 pm
D.J. Chark returned to practice as a limited participant Friday in his first day back since sustaining a hamstring injury, but he was ruled out for the season opener. Adam Thielen also returned to practice as a limited participant Friday after missing Thursday with an ankle injury. He's listed as questionable for Carolina's season opener, leaving the door open for him to play. (Panthers.com)
FFToday's Take: With Chark out and Thielen Questionable, the Panthers are a bit thin at receiver to start the season. We should see a lot of rookie Jonathan Mingo and Terrace Marshall Jr. (back) against the Falcons. Mingo is on the Flex radar for Week 1.
| Travis Kelce ruled out for Week 1, knee injury Bone bruise, Hyper-extended knee By: Mike Krueger | Sep 7 2023, 6:14 pm
Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce officially is out tonight vs. the Lions due to the knee injury he suffered at practice this week.
The Chiefs’ active TEs tonight are Noah Gray, Blake Bell and Matt Bushman. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This was the likely outcome given the injury and the early stage of the season we find ourselves in. The Chiefs have a more important game in Week 2 against the Jaguars for Kelce to take part in. Noah Gray becomes a streaming TE2 but hopefully you have better options on your roster.
| Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs miss practice Wednesday Hamstring injuries By: Mike Krueger | Sep 6 2023, 5:30 pm
#Packers are without their top two receivers in their first practice of Week 1. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs not on the field today. Watson ride a stationary bike. Doubs went through stretches but not individual drills. (Ryan Wood on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Both starting receivers for the Packers are dealing with hamstring injuries leading up to Week 1. Both were officially listed as DNP on Wednesday. Not great. We'll follow their status and practice reports as the week goes on and hopefully we'll get more certainty by Friday afternoon.
| Cooper Kupp out for Week 1 Hamstring injury is still cause for concern By: Mike Krueger | Sep 6 2023, 4:22 pm
Cooper Kupp will be out on Sunday, per Sean McVay. "Not much more information...just dealing with some soft tissue stuff." While McVay did not clarify the nature of the specialist Cooper Kupp saw in Minnesota, he said team is "opening every avenue" to understand whether hamstring feeling related to soft-tissue injury or even possible nerve issue. "There's just a lot of gray behind this." (Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We didn't expect Kupp to play Week 1 but this is starting to feel like an issue that may linger for some time. McVay didn't rule out Kupp going on Injured Reserve. The way it stands now, Van Jefferson, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell are the top three widouts for Matthew Stafford. You can bet tight end Tyler Higbee will be heavily involved as well, with Kupp sidelined.
| Travis Kelce listed as Questionable for Week 1 Bone bruise, Hyper-extended knee By: Mike Krueger | Sep 6 2023, 3:49 pm
Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, who suffered a bone bruise to his knee at Tuesday’s practice, is being listed as questionable for Thursday night’s regular-season opener versus the Detroit Lions. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Kelce was injured in practice on Tuesday. The questionable tag at least gives him a chance to play in the season-opener tomorrow night against the Lions. Given the non-division opponent and a full season in front of him, it would make sense to keep Kelce off the field, but if he's active, it's going to be tough for fantasy owners keep keep Kelce on the bench.
| Jaxon Smith-Njigba expected to play Week 1 Wrist surgery two weeks ago By: Mike Krueger | Sep 6 2023, 3:30 pm
Pete Carroll says WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba will play Sunday in Seahawks' opener vs Rams. Said the rookie "hasn't said a peep" about his surgically repaired wrist, and that there is no hesitation. (Greg Bell on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: JSN had wrist surgery roughly two weeks ago. There's no word yet if he will be limited. The rookie is shaping up to be a risky flex option against the Rams.
| Joe Burrow expected to practice Wednesday On track to play Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Sep 6 2023, 1:01 pm
Bengals’ HC Zac Taylor said Joe Burrow is expected to practice in full today. This puts him on track to start Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Burrow injured his calf back in late July and appears to be on the right side of Questionable heading into Week 1 against the Browns. The Bengals QB posted similar lines of 232-2-1 (QB16) and 239-2-1 (QB13) against Cleveland last season.
| Travis Kelce suffers hyper-extended knee in practice Uncertain for Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Sep 5 2023, 2:06 pm
Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid told reporters that Travis Kelce hyper-extended his knee at practice today and his status for Thursday night’s opener vs the Lions is uncertain. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Chiefs typically operate with extreme caution on injuries and with the game against the Lions in two days and basically 10 days between their Week 2 contest, it wouldn't be shocking to see Kelce sit in Week 1. This would be a huge blow to the Chiefs offense and would likely mean a larger role for Noah Grey at tight end.

| Colts looking to ride the hot hand at running back Jonathan Taylor out at least four games By: Mike Krueger | Sep 5 2023, 8:00 am
“I think it’s running back by committee," Steichen said. “With anything, whoever’s got the hot hand, let them ride a little bit and go with that.
“We’ll rotate those guys in, see where everyone is, and like I said, we’ll ride with the hot hand." (Fox 59 in Indianapolis)
FFToday's Take: The Colts will be without Jonathan Taylor for at least four games as he's on Injured Reserve. In his place, Deon Jackson, Zack Moss (forearm) and rookie Evan Hull are the options in Week 1 against Jacksonville with Hull likely playing in a third-down role.
| Kadarius Toney back on the field Monday Limited session three days before KC's season opener By: Doug Orth | Sep 4 2023, 5:50 pm
WRs Kadarius Toney and Richie James, CB L'Jarius Sneed and DT Tershawn Wharton were listed as limited with knee injuries. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: Considering how much time Toney missed during the camp and preseason, he is expected to be on a snap count in Week 1. In the Chiefs' high-powered offense, however, the ex-Giant may not need many touches to leave a dent in the box score. Most fantasy managers should be able to leave him on the bench and use Thursday's game against the Lions to see if he warrants WR3 consideration in September.
| Kadarius Toney likely to play Week 1, but on a pitch count? Missed training camp with knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 3 2023, 12:56 pm
Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid told reporters that Kadarius Toney, who missed much of camp with a lingering knee injury, is “good to go” for Week 1 vs. the Lions. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Reid also said that "We'll take it day by day" when referring to Toney. It will probably be the case that Toney will be on the field but may be on a pitch count. With the Chiefs keeping 7 receivers on their roster and comfortable using them in various situations, it's going to be a struggle for fantasy owners to feel comfortable starting any of them. Snaps and number of routes run will be close data points to watch for the KC wide receiver room.
