| Marvin Harrison Jr. good to go for Week 7 Out of concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Oct 19 2024, 11:56 am
Cardinals rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. is out of the concussion protocol and will play Monday night against the Chargers, coach Jonathan Gannon said today. (Josh Weinfuss on X)
FFToday's Take: Harrison suffered a concussion in Week 6 against the Packers but was able to clear protocol in time for Week 7. A feat that doesn't happen a lot in today's NFL. Harrison is currently the WR35 in fantasy points per game (Half-PPR) and the Chargers have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position.

| Jordan Mason off the injury report, will play in Week 7 Shoulder injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 18 2024, 5:04 pm
RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) is full go for Sunday’s game. WR Jauan Jennings (hip) is OUT. (Matt Barrows on X)
FFToday's Take: Mason injured his shoulder against the Seahawks in Week 6 but has had a few extra days to recover given that game on Thursday of last week. The matchup for Mason this week is rough, as the Chiefs have given up the fewest fantasy points to running backs. Still, given the expected volume, Mason projections as a low-end RB2.

| Jakobi Meyers listed as Doubtful for Week 7 Raiders thin at WR By: Mike Krueger | Oct 18 2024, 2:49 pm
#Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) will not practice today, per Pierce...he'll be DOUBFTUL for #Rams game (Paul Gutierrez on X)
FFToday's Take: Meyers missed last week with an ankle injury and will likely be out for Week 7 as well. After trading Davante Adams to the Jets, the Raiders are scraping the bottom of the barrel at wide receiver. Who's up next? A host of guys that are unplayable in fantasy including Tre Tucker, D.J. Turner, Tyreik McAllister, Kristian Wilkerson and Alex Bachman.

| Ray Davis limited Friday, Questionable for Week 7 Calf injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 18 2024, 2:48 pm
S Mike Edwards and RB Ray Davis questionable. Everyone else on the active roster is good to go. #Bills (Chris Brown on X)
FFToday's Take: Davis missed practice Wednesday, and was limited on both Thursday and Friday. It remains to be seen if he will suit on Sunday against the Titans. James Cook (toe) is off the injury report and expected to play. The Titans have been decent against running backs this season, giving up the 9 fewest fantasy points to the position, including just 1 rushing TD.

| Sounds like RBBC for the Giants in Week 7 Devin Singletary back in the mix By: Mike Krueger | Oct 18 2024, 12:36 pm
On the #Giants RB situation: Devin Singletary will return on Sunday vs. #Eagles. But Tyrone Tracy Jr. will still see significant playing time.
“He’s earned it,” coach Brian Daboll said. “He’s done a good job. So he’ll get plenty of playing time.”
Daboll says Tracy, Singletary and Eric Gray will all play. The Giants intend to keep an eye on Singletary to see how he’s doing off groin injury. So they will likely ease him back into game action. (Jordan Raanan on X)
FFToday's Take: Singletary has missed the last two games with a groin injury but will return against the Eagles in Week 7. This RBBC isn't great for fantasy owners and puts a lid on the ceiling of both running backs. Tracy is the preferred play between the two given his health, but he is more of a Flex option than RB2.

| Malik Nabers clears concussion protocol Full practice on Thursday By: Mike Krueger | Oct 17 2024, 5:21 pm
Giants announced that WR Malik Nabers was evaluated by the independent neurological consultant this afternoon and now has cleared concussion protocol. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Giants rookie receiver has missed the last two games after suffering a concussion in Week 4. A groin injury was added to his ailments but he was listed as a full participant in practice on Thursday. Assuming he's good to go, Nabers will be a WR1 value against the Eagles in Week 7.

| Bucs going with the hot hand approach at RB? Rachaad White expected to play By: Mike Krueger | Oct 17 2024, 2:15 pm
Bucs coach Todd Bowles says they will go with the “hot hand” at RB but expects all three to play Monday: Rachaad White, Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker. (Rick Stroud on X)
FFToday's Take: Tampa Bay plays Monday night and it appears White will be back on the field. If you believe Bowles, we're likely to see all three running backs against the Ravens and difficult to project who will see the most work. White is likely to get the start but has been extremely inefficient throughout his career but has excelled in the passing game. The Bucs are currently 4-point underdogs to Baltimore.

| Rashid Shaheed to have meniscus surgery on knee Out multiple weeks By: Mike Krueger | Oct 16 2024, 3:19 pm
Source: Saints WR Rashid Shaheed’s meniscus surgery Thursday is now expected to determine whether he will be sidelined multiple weeks or for the rest of the season. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Saints are set to be without Chris Olave (concussion) and Shaheed in Week 7 when the host the Broncos. Depending on how the procedure goes, Shaheed could miss the rest of the season. The Saints season is circling the drain as they have now sustained injuries to three of their top four players on offense including QB Derek Carr (oblique). Bub Means, Cedrick Wilson and Mason Tipton are expected to be the top three receivers for Saints on Thursday.

| Trade: Cleveland sends WR Amari Cooper to Buffalo Browns get third round pick By: Mike Krueger | Oct 15 2024, 2:18 pm
Full trade, per multiple sources: Browns are getting a 3rd round and the Bills get Amari Cooper. The two teams are also going to make a swap of late picks. Bills get a 6th, Browns get a 7th. (Jordan Schultz on X)
FFToday's Take: The Bills have been lacking an alpha receiver in their offense and now they get one. They've been using a 5-man receiver rotation but we'll see if this move helps condense their rotation to Cooper, Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman. Perhaps Mack Hollins will stay on the field and Cooper will push Coleman to the bench. Either way, this is a good move for Cooper's fantasy value as he gets a big upgrade in quarterback play.
| Trade: Davante Adams headed to the N.Y. Jets Raiders receive a conditional 3rd-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Oct 15 2024, 10:10 am
Compensation update: The trade for Davante Adams is expected to get finalized today, per sources.
It will be for a conditional 3rd-round pick that can go to a second-round pick, per source. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Adams getting traded has been a likely scenario for the star wide receiver who's missed the last three games with a hamstring injury. Adams was reported to be interested in going to the Saints or Jets given his familiarity with both quarterbacks. This move is going to drag down the fantasy values of Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard who currently sits as the WR17 in half-PPR leagues. Mike Williams is completely off the fantasy radar. It remains to be seen if Adams will be ready to play in Week 7.

| Cooper Kupp has a chance to return in Week 7 Puka Nacua not ready to practice yet By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 7:15 pm
Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) will work out with trainers today but no determination has been made about his availability for Sunday’s game against Raiders, McVay said. Puka Nacua (knee) will not practice this week. (Los Angeles Times - Gary Klein)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers should expect to be without both players, although it sounds as if Kupp will be back no later than Week 8 at the latest. Given the nature of his injury, managers should not expect him to return to the PPR dynamo he typically is when he is 100%. As far as Nacua is concerned, it does not bode well for his prospects of returning anytime soon that he is still not ready to practice. If Kupp makes it back this week, the Rams will likely line him up alongside some combination of Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington.

| Jonathon Brooks to practice this week Rookie RB has missed all season with torn ACL By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 7:00 pm
Panthers plan to open the 21-day window for RB Jonathon Brooks to return, per Dave Canales. (ESPN.com - David Newton)
FFToday's Take: While the news is great for Brooks' patient fantasy managers, there are some things to consider. Brooks has yet to practice with the team in any official capacity since he tore his ACL last November. The Panthers have three weeks to activate him from the day they officially open his window, meaning we might not see him until around Week 10. The biggest issue may be that Chuba Hubbard has run extremely well in his absence, so there is a distinct possibility the two might end up splitting work when Brooks is ready to roll.

| James Cook out, Khalil Shakir in vs. Jets RB ruled out due to toe injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 6:50 pm
Another Monday night inactive surprise at RB: James Cook is out tonight due to his toe injury, per source. It’s the first NFL game in three seasons that Cook has missed. WR Khalil Shakir is active. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Once the Bills elevated Frank Gore Jr. earlier in the day, the writing appeared to be on the wall for Gore. As it stands, Buffalo figures to roll with Ray Davis and Ty Johnson in Cook's absence. As far as Shakir is concerned, he should have no issue resuming his role as Josh Allen's top target. His biggest hurdle figures to be a stingy Jets' pass defense that will likely be even more amped for DC Jeff Ulbrich - the team's new interim head coach.

| Jerome Ford likely to miss multiple weeks Suffered hamstring injury early in Week 6 By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 3:40 pm
Browns RB Jerome Ford will be week to week with his hamstring injury, HC Kevin Stefanski said. (ESPN.com - Daniel Oyefusi)
FFToday's Take: As luck would have it, reports began to surface over the weekend that Nick Chubb (knee) is set to return. While it would be irresponsible for the Browns to throw him right back into a featured role, the possibility exists for Week 7 or Week 8 if Ford misses that much time. In all likelihood, Chubb will probably lead the backfield over the next month before Cleveland attempts to have him assume a heavier workload sometime in November.
| Tyjae Spears set to miss some games Hamstring injury in Week 6 By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 3:20 pm
Titans coach Brian Callahan tells reporters that RB Tyjae Spears is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury, likely meaning he’ll miss time. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: It is unfortunate timing for Spears and his fantasy managers given the fact Tennessee just came off a bye week, but it does open things up for Tony Pollard to become a true featured back over the next week or so. Pollard was already playing at a RB1 level, so his stock gets a slight boost with this news. Julius Chestnut theoretically becomes Pollard's handcuff in the interim.

| Dontayvion Wicks out for a bit Did not return after suffering shoulder injury in Week 6 By: Doug Orth | Oct 14 2024, 3:00 pm
Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is considered “week-to-week” after sustaining a shoulder injury that caused him to leave Sunday’s game vs the #Cardinals.
Good news for Jordan Love and Green Bay, as the second-year man already has 3 TDs this season. (FOX Sports - Jordan Schultz)
FFToday's Take: Not sure if it is the best news, but Wicks' eventual return is a good thing for the Packers since it seems likely Christian Watson, Jayden Reed or Romeo Doubs will miss time at some point. Despite being tied with Josh Jacobs for fourth on the team in catches (11), Wicks is tied for the team lead with three receiving scores. He is well worth keeping on benches.

| Travis Etienne week to week with hamstring injury Tank Bigsby in the lead back role By: Mike Krueger | Oct 14 2024, 9:07 am
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson told reporters today that RB Travis Etienne Jr. is now considered week to week due to his hamstring injury. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Etienne has yet to get on track this season, dealing with a shoulder injury while splitting time with Tank Bigsby. Etienne will now miss the next few weeks which will give Bigsby a chance at the lead back role. D'Ernest Johnson moves up to the No.2 spot. Upcoming schedule for the Jaguars include the Patriots, Packers, Eagles and Vikings.

| Joe Flacco will start for the Colts in Week 6 Anthony Richardson will be emergency QB By: Mike Krueger | Oct 13 2024, 11:27 am
Sources: Joe Flacco will start for the #Colts today at Tennessee.
Anthony Richardson (oblique) practiced all week and will serve as the emergency No. 3 QB. He could play if needed. But they want to give him another week. So, Flacco gets the ball again. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Richardson got in one full practice this week (Thursday) but ultimately the team decided to give him one more week of rest. Flacco at quarterback, gives a bump for Josh Downs and even Michael Pittman Jr. who has decided to try and play through his back injury.

| Jakobi Meyers downgraded to Doubtful Ankle injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 13 2024, 7:00 am
Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers, who suffered an ankle injury in last week's loss at the Denver Broncos, was downgraded to doubtful Saturday afternoon. He had originally been listed as questionable: (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The hits just keep on coming for the Raiders. Already down Davante Adams (hamstring), the Raiders are looking at Tre Tucker, D.J. Turner and Tyreik McAllister as their top three receivers for Week 6 against the Steelers. All three are not recommended fantasy options. Tucker could be used if you're desperate.
| Devin Singletary downgraded to Out for Week 6 Tyrone Tracy Jr. expected to start By: Mike Krueger | Oct 12 2024, 5:09 pm
Game status update: RB Devin Singletary, P Jamie Gillan, and WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton have been downgraded to out. (New York Giants on X)
FFToday's Take: Singletary (groin) missed last week's game and was limited in practice all week before being downgraded to Out. Expect Tyrone Tracy Jr. to get the start with Eric Gray mixed in. Tracy posted a 18-129-0 line last week after Gray fumbled early in the game. The Bengals represent a neutral matchup to opposing RBs, but Tracy is a worthy RB2 this week.
| Brian Robinson Jr. downgraded to Out for Week 6 Missed practice all week with knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 12 2024, 4:00 pm
Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr., who hadn’t practiced this week due to a knee injury, was downgraded to out for Sunday’s game at Baltimore. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Robinson didn't practice all week so this move isn't a huge surprise. With Robinson out, expect Washington to turn to Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols at running back against the Ravens. Ekeler is a viable RB2, especially in PPR leagues while McNichols will be a boom-or-bust TD dependent option in deeper formats.
| Shakir, Cook listed as Questionable for Monday night Will be limited in practice Saturday By: Mike Krueger | Oct 12 2024, 11:04 am
McDermott: DT Ed Oliver is out this week against the Jets.
NCB Taron Johnson, WR Khalil Shakir, DT Austin Johnson and RB James Cook will be limited in practice today and all will be listed as questionable for Monday night. (Chris Brown on X)
FFToday's Take: Both Shakir (ankle) and Cook (toe) missed practice on Thursday and Friday of this week but will get in a limited session on Saturday. Adam Schefter has reported that Cook plans to play against the Jets. Shakir missed last week's game with an ankle injury. Hopefully we'll get more clarity on both prior to games kicking off on Sunday.

| Rhamondre Stevenson Out for Week 6 Foot injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2024, 4:14 pm
The Patriots officially ruled out RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) for Sunday.
Another start for Antonio Gibson, with JaMycal Hasty bumped up the depth chart and a promotion for either Kevin Harris or Terrell Jennings from the practice squad. (Mike Reiss on X)
FFToday's Take: It sounds like Stevenson is going to miss just one game, but Gibson should get the start at running back in Week 6 against the Texans and should have a decent workload, enough to be in the RB2 conversation. However, the Texans have given up the 7th fewest fantasy points to the position.
| Rachaad White a gametime decision for Week 6 Limited in practice with foot issue By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2024, 2:44 pm
Sounds like Jalen McMillan will be able to play Sunday after missing last week with a hamstring injury. Bowles said Rachaad White will be a game-time decision. (Greg Auman on X)
FFToday's Take: White was limited in practice this week with a foot issue then downgraded on Thursday to DNP. If he misses, we should see an increased role for Bucky Irving who would have strong RB2 value against the Saints. Sean Tucker is third on the depth chart.
| Joe Mixon expected to play in Week 6 Hasn't played since Week 2, ankle injury By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2024, 2:43 pm
#Texans veteran running back Joe Mixon practiced again Friday, his second day in a row, and is expected to play Sunday as league sources expressed optimism he's ready for a solid workload against #Patriots, barring any unexpected setback. (Aaron Wilson on X)
FFToday's Take: Mixon hasn't played since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 2. His return will make Cam Akers and Dare Ogunbowale unplayable in most fantasy lineups. Dameon Pierce is also expected to be available after getting in a full practice on Thursday.
| Devin Singletary listed as Questionable for Week 6 limited in practice all week By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2024, 12:26 pm
Devin Singletary still dealing with a groin problem. Coach Brian Daboll said “we’ll see” about his starting running back.
Could be another Tyrone Tracy Jr. game. (Jordan Raanan on X)
FFToday's Take: Singletary was limited in practice all week with a groin injury and is listed as Questionable. If he sits, we'll likely see Tracy operate in a lead-back role Eric Gray as he did last week, but will be available as well. The Giants and Bengals play Sunday night.
| Malik Nabers Out for Week 6 Still in concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Oct 11 2024, 11:35 am
WR Malik Nabers (concussion) is OUT again this Sunday vs. Bengals, per Brian Daboll. (Jordan Raanan on X)
FFToday's Take: Nabers is having a difficult time getting cleared from the concussion he suffered in Week 4. This will be two games he's missed as a result. In his absence last week, we saw Darius Slayton play 90.3% of the snaps and command at 35.5% target share. He'll be in the WR3 conversation this week against the Bengals.
| Michael Pittman Jr. out multiple weeks with back injury Colts injuries are mounting By: Mike Krueger | Oct 9 2024, 5:38 pm
Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. is dealing with a back injury that is now expected to sideline him multiple weeks, per sources. Injured reserve is an option. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Colts are dealing with injuries to Anthony Richardson, Jonathan Taylor and now Pittman heading into Week 6. Josh Downs (toe) missed practice on Wednesday, rookie Adonai Mitchell and Alec Pierce are likely to be the top three receivers while Pittman is out. Assuming he plays, and Joe Flacco starts at QB, Downs is an easy WR2 this week against the Titans.
| Nico Collins placed on IR, hamstring injury Will miss at least the next four games By: Mike Krueger | Oct 9 2024, 10:30 am
Texans are placing WR Nico Collins on injured reserve due to his hamstring injury. He will be sidelined a minimum of four games. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The hamstring bites another. Collins was injured in Week 5 on a 67-yard TD catch but will now miss the next 4 games. The earliest he could return would be Week 10 against the Lions. The Texans don't have their bye until Week 14. Xavier Hutchinson finished out the game in Nico's role so he's worth a look if you need WR help. Perhaps more target will flow to Tank Dell in the coming weeks.

| Rashee Rice undergoes LCL surgery Typical recovery makes regular-season return unlikely By: Doug Orth | Oct 8 2024, 6:30 pm
Good news for Rashee Rice following surgery, as the ACL, meniscus, and MCL didn’t need to be repaired. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: The typical timeline for a return to action following LCL surgery is four to six months, which likely ends any hope he will return during the regular season. With that said, no official timeline has been given yet. JuJu Smith-Schuster played very well in the team's Week 5 victory and should be one of the most sought-after adds off the waiver wire this week.

| Drake Maye expected to start in Week 6 Expected to supplant Jacoby Brissett By: Doug Orth | Oct 8 2024, 6:20 pm
The future is now in New England: Sources say the #Patriots are planning to start Drake Maye against the #Texans, the first start for the No. 3 overall pick.
Jacoby Brissett, who started the first five games, heads to the bench. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: Maye was almost certainly going to start some games as a rookie, but the timing of the announcement is odd, to say the least. It was thought one of the major reasons why Maye was not named the starter to begin the season was that the organization was trying to do right by him and not set him up for failure behind a bad offensive line. Giving him his first NFL start against a Texans' defense that has been very good at rushing the passer this season is a curious decision at best. Fantasy managers would do well to continue streaming their DST units against New England.

| Derek Carr likely to miss a couple of weeks Oblique injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 8 2024, 6:00 pm
Sources to me and @RapSheet: #Saints QB Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury he suffered against the #Chiefs.
New Orleans has two games in the next nine days, and the likelihood is Carr misses Sun vs. the #Buccaneers and Thurs vs. the #Broncos. (NFL Network - Mike Garafolo)
FFToday's Take: Carr missing multiple games was the most likely scenario once it was confirmed he injured his oblique. It would not be terribly surprising if he misses more than two games, but there is almost no chance he can return before then Week 8 because the team plays on Thursday in Week 7. Jake Haener took over for Carr as soon as he left the game on Monday night, but early reports suggest rookie Spencer Rattler is "a strong candidate" to get the nod as well. While Carr was not exactly setting the world on fire with his recent play, his absence figures to lower the ceilings of Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

| Aaron Jones expected to be fine Exited London game early with hip injury By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 11:30 pm
Aaron Jones left Sunday’s 23-17 win over the Jets with a hip injury. Initially, he was questionable to return. Then, he was ruled out.
Initial word is that, by the time the Vikings return to action after their Week 6 bye, Jones should be good to go. (Pro Football Talk - Mike Florio)
FFToday's Take: The likelihood is that Jones suffered a minor hip flexor injury, but no official diagnosis has been given yet. Either way, fantasy managers have to be thrilled he will have at least the Vikings' Week 6 bye to rest and recover. If Jones needs a bit more time to recover, Ty Chandler will be expected to handle the bulk of the workload. Regardless of who starts in Week 6, expectations need to be dialed back against a stingy Detroit run defense.

| Christian McCaffrey will not play in Week 6 RB continues to "push" rehab on Achilles tendinitis By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 11:00 pm
RB Christian McCaffrey also will remain on injured reserve and not be available for the team’s game on Thursday.
McCaffrey has not played this season due to Achilles tendinitis in both legs.
“(McCaffrey will) continue his rehab,” Shanahan said. “Every day you try to push the rehab more and more.”
(NBC Sports Bay Area)
FFToday's Take: McCaffrey has not played all season, so he wasn't going to make his season debut on a short week. He also has not practiced since early August, so a return in Week 7 seems unlikely as well. With that said, there seems to be cautious optimism that he will return no later than Week 10. It is difficult to assess whether McCaffrey is a good trade target at this point and it seems extremely unlikely the 49ers will ask him to carry a heavy workload anytime before December. As such, Jordan Mason's value should remain high all season.

| A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith likely to play in Week 6 Eagles top two WRs both missed Week 4 with injuries By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 7:40 pm
My understanding is the #eagles are expecting to have their top WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) back this week vs the #browns. (Underdog Fantasy - James Palmer)
FFToday's Take: Philadelphia's Week 5 bye came at a great time. Brown injured his hamstring late in the week before Week 2 and has not played since. Smith was concussed in Week 3 and sat out Week 4. With both receivers back, the Eagles' offense should quickly return to the unit that rolled up 410 total yards against the Packers in Brazil to begin the season. Brown boasts WR1 upside every time he takes the field, while Smith is not far off that - especially given his increased slot usage so far in 2024.

| Houston offers updates on Joe Mixon, Nico Collins RB still in limbo for Week 6, WR week-to-week with hamstring issue By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 7:30 pm
DeMeco Ryans on Nico Collins: "He's in good sprits. It takes a couple of weeks for a hamstring. So we'll evaluate him on a week-to-week basis."
Ryans said he's not sure if Joe Mixon will be available this week. Still trying to figure that out.
(Jonathan Alexander on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Collins' injury occurred on his 67-yard touchdown catch late in the first quarter and did not appear to be too significant at the time, so it comes as a surprise that he might miss more than one game. Xavier Hutchinson stepped up in his absence, but fantasy managers should expect much more Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell if Collins cannot play in Week 6. As far as Mixon, he did not practice at all last week, which probably means he is off to a bad start if he hopes to play this weekend against the Patriots. Cam Akers, Dare Ogunbowale and maybe even Dameon Pierce could see work in his absence.

| Evan Engram expected back in Week 6 Sidelined with answering issue since pregame injury in Week 2 By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 7:20 pm
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson believes TE Evan Engram, who has not played since Week 1 due to a hamstring injury, is likely to return for Sunday’s game in London vs. the Bears. “I think the chances of him getting back in here this week are pretty good,” Pederson said. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: While Engram's absence has not been the sole reason Trevor Lawrence has struggled for parts of the 2024 season, it has contributed. Engram went over the century mark in catches last season and, in theory, should take some defensive attention away from Brian Thomas Jr. and Christian Kirk when he is not supposed to be the primary read. Brenton Strange has filled in nicely during his absence, but Engram offers more game-breaking ability and should serve as a top 10 option at tight end moving forward.

| Khalil Shakir's Week 6 status uncertain Ankle injury sidelined him in Week 5 By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 7:10 pm
Khalil Shakir is day-to-day, according to HC Sean McDermott. (ESPN.com - Alaina Getzenberg)
FFToday's Take: Assuming Shakir is dealing with a low-ankle sprain, it would be surprising if he's not ready to face the Jets on Monday night to wrap up Week 6. There within lies the rub, however, as fantasy managers may have to make an educated guess based off practice reports if he will return. Even then, the matchup is not a great one. With that said, Josh Allen seemed to miss his top wideout in a Week 5 loss to the Texans. Consider Shakir a WR4/flex option this week with WR3 upside based on how much practice work he logs.

| Travis Etienne playing through pain Recurring shoulder issue By: Doug Orth | Oct 7 2024, 7:00 pm
Travis Etienne got popped in the shoulder again and that’s why he was held out at the end of the game. Pederson says he’ll be okay. (Jordan de Lugo on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Etienne's volume has dipped over the last two games, which has contributed somewhat to Tank Bigsby's resurgence. It would seem as though Jacksonville wants the two backs to split the workload as much as possible and it may be moving in that direction. Etienne will remain the clear starter for the Jags, but it is clear that Bigsby has earned himself a role. As such, Etienne needs to be treated as a RB2 in fantasy until further notice.

| Anthony Richardson downgraded to Doubtful for Week 5 Joe Flacco expected to start By: Mike Krueger | Oct 5 2024, 1:39 pm
The #Colts downgraded Anthony Richardson to doubtful. Joe Flacco in line to start Sunday vs. Jacksonville. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Richardson (oblique) got in limited practices all week but he didn't do much on Friday. Flacco at QB gives life to Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs who both saw a 32% target share last week with Flacco playing most of the game. The Jaguars have given up the 5th most fantasy points to receivers this season.
