| Brian Robinson Jr. will be a gametime decision Trending in the right direction By: Mike Krueger | Oct 4 2024, 12:21 pm
Dan Quinn said RB Austin Ekeler has cleared the concussion protocol and will be good for Sunday. He added that RB Brian Robinson Jr. is trending in the right direction, but he'll be a game-time decision.
WR Noah Brown - OUT
DE Clelin Ferrell - OUT (Nicki Jhabvala on X)
FFToday's Take: Robinson missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a knee issue but did return on Friday. Even if he does play, it wouldn't be surprising to see Ekeler get a little more work than usual given Robinson won't be 100 percent. The Commanders play the Browns in the early window on Sunday, so we'll have a good idea of his status on Sunday morning.

| Malik Nabers ruled Out for Week 5 Has yet to clear concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Oct 4 2024, 11:33 am
Giants HC Brian Daboll announced that Malik Nabers remains in concussion protocol and is out Sunday vs. the Seahawks. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Since Nabers was concussed Thursday of last week, there was some optimism that would be ready to go for Week 5. Not the case. The Giants passing game will feature Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and perhaps Jalin Hyatt who has 3 targets and has yet to catch a pass this season. Robinson is a viable PPR option while Slayton is a risky Flex.

| Khalil Shakir Out for Week 5 with ankle injury Missed practice all week By: Mike Krueger | Oct 4 2024, 11:08 am
Bills HC Sean McDermott ruled out Khalil Shakir and Ed Oliver for Sunday’s game against the Texans. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Shakir injured his ankle in Week 4, but later returned to the game. Expect the Bills to be run-focused against the Ravens this week but we could see a few more opportunities for rookie Keon Coleman and tight end Dalton Kincaid.

| Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce miss practice Thursday Texans still struggling at RB By: Mike Krueger | Oct 3 2024, 1:34 pm
#Texans’ Joe Mixon misses second practice in a row with ankle injury, Laremy Tunsil returns to practice, Tank Dell, Jimmie Ward practice second day in a row, Dameon Pierce sidelined again
@KPRC2 (Aaron Wilson on X)
FFToday's Take: Mixon was a limited participant in practice on Friday of last week but was ultimately ruled Out for Week 4. Two missed practices to begin Week 5 isn't promising for chances to play on Sunday against the Bills. If both Mixon and Pierce aren't able to play, it will once again be Cam Akers leading the backfield for the Texans. He's been underwhelming the last few weeks in the lead-back role.

| Malik Nabers misses practice Thursday, concussion Still in concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Oct 3 2024, 12:45 pm
Daboll said WR Malik Nabers is making progress in the concussion protocol but he won’t be out on the field during practice. Daboll said they’ll wait as long as possible before making a determination for Sunday, but time is obviously running low to clear the remaining steps. I don’t see Nabers getting cleared for Sunday. (Dan Duggan on X)
FFToday's Take: It's looking more and more like Nabers is going to miss Week 5 against Seattle. Nabers suffered a concussion last Thursday in Week 4. If he misses, Darius Slayton will likely see the biggest benefit in the passing game although he'll be nothing more than a desperation Flex option.
| Davante Adams expected to sit in Week 5 Hamstring injury? By: Mike Krueger | Oct 2 2024, 6:26 pm
Raiders WR Davante Adams is not expected to play Sunday vs. the Broncos due to his hamstring injury, per league sources. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: We can speculate on whether or not Adams has an injury, but regardless, he won't be on the field in Week 5. In his absence, Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker will have a difficult task against the Broncos defense that's given up the 2nd fewest fantasy points to wide receivers.
| Brandin Cooks Out for Week 5, knee injury Complications after surgery could cause extended absence By: Mike Krueger | Oct 2 2024, 11:56 am
The Cowboys will be without WR Brandin Cooks for at least this week vs. Pittsburgh and potentially longer after an infection developed in his right knee following a procedure he had after remaining in NY following the win against the Giants, according to multiple sources. (Todd Archer on X)
FFToday's Take: Cooks' best game this season came back in Week 1 when he posted a 4-40-1 line. Since then he hasn't topped 19 receiving yards in a game. In his absence, Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin should see more action at wide receiver.

| Davante Adams asking out of Las Vegas Star WR asks to be traded By: Doug Orth | Oct 1 2024, 11:30 pm
Raiders star WR Davante Adams informed the team that he preferred to be traded, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
There is nothing imminent, but a situation to watch for sure. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the asking price would be something in the neighborhood of the second-round draft pick and additional compensation. Adams' cap number is $25.35 million. While that number can be tweaked to a certain degree, it might make it difficult for cap-strapped teams like the Chiefs and Bills to do a deal. Unsurprisingly, one of the teams Adams would be open to going to is Aaron Rodgers' Jets. Considering how all-in the Jets are this year, New York may be the favorite for his services.

| Anthony Richardson considered day-to-day Oblique and abdominal strains By: Doug Orth | Sep 30 2024, 11:50 pm
Colts QB Anthony Richardson is considered day to day with oblique and abdominal strains, and he has a shot to play this week against the #Jaguars, sources said after today’s tests.
Good news overall after Richardson left Sunday’s win. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: The good news is that the toughest part of Richardson's schedule should be finished. The bad news is he will begin the second quarter of it at less than 100 percent. Richardson has been a disappointment overall fantasy, but October should tell us more about him than September did. There is a distinct possibility if Richardson plays in Week 5, he will do so without Jonathan Taylor (ankle). It might be just what he needs for him to show himself and HC Shane Steichen that he can put the team on his shoulders. If Richardson cannot play in Week 5, however, Joe Flacco is worth a spot start in deeper leagues.

| Jonathan Taylor exits near the end of Week 4 win "Mild" high-ankle sprain By: Doug Orth | Sep 30 2024, 11:30 pm
RB Jonathan Taylor’s high ankle sprain is mild, per @RapSheet. He will be evaluated throughout the week. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: HC Shane Steichen told reporters on Monday the team is not considering a short-term IR stint for Taylor, which is good news. The bad news is there really is no such thing as a "mild" ankle sprain, so Taylor's fantasy managers should probably expect him to miss at least a game or two. Trey Sermon came on in relief of Taylor late in the fourth quarter and should be considered a high-priority add ahead of Week 5, especially if we get confirmation over the next two days that Taylor will not play in Week 5.
| Jonathon Brooks not quite ready to practice yet RB in final stages of recovery from ACL surgery By: Doug Orth | Sep 30 2024, 5:30 pm
Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks is in the final stages of returning from a torn ACL last November but the team doesn't plan to open his 21-day practice window this week. (ESPN.com - David Newton)
FFToday's Take: It would appear that we are probably about a month away from Brooks making his NFL debut, as it seems unlikely the Panthers will not use most of the 21-day window to complete his recovery and work on his overall conditioning. Chuba Hubbard is coming off consecutive 100-yard games as well, which only decreases any urgency of rushing Brooks back. Fantasy managers should not be surprised either if Carolina asks Brooks and Hubbard to share the load for the first few weeks upon his return.
| Joe Mixon, Tank Dell trending in right direction for Week 5 RB nursing an ankle sprain, WR dealing with a chest issue By: Doug Orth | Sep 30 2024, 5:25 pm
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans says RB Joe Mixon and WR Tank Dell will be 'day-to-day' this week.
"We'll see this week with a week of practice." (Jonathan Alexander on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Mixon made a surprise return to a limited practice on Friday, suggesting he has a realistic shot at playing in Week 5 against the Bills. Dell did not practice all of last week, but he is also more likely than not to play. Mixon was saying enough volume before his injury to be considered a high-end RB2, so his return will be important for fantasy managers. Dell was having his best game of the season in Week 3 before getting hurt, but he appears to be a clear third option behind Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs at the moment.
| Nick Chubb inching closer to a return Browns plan to open RB's 21-day practice window By: Doug Orth | Sep 30 2024, 5:00 pm
Browns HC Kevin Stefanski said the team is opening the practice window for RB Nick Chubb. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Chubb suffered what was thought to be a potential career-ending injury in Week 2 of last season, so it is great news that he appears to have a legitimate shot at contributing to the team at some point before midseason. Expectations obviously need to be tempered based on the seriousness of his injury and the time he has missed, but he has a chance to return RB2 value if he can come reasonably close to picking up where he left off. Of course, that assumes the offensive line gets healthy at some point as well. Jerome Ford will continue to do most of the heavy lifting in Cleveland until Chubb is ready.

| Joe Mixon Out for Week 4, ankle injury Cam Akers expected to start By: Mike Krueger | Sep 29 2024, 10:18 am
Source: #Texans RB Joe Mixon will be OUT today vs the #Jaguars due to his ankle injury. Mixon tested it this morning, and while he's feeling better, everyone agreed to take the safe route and give him another week. (Jordan Schultz on X)
FFToday's Take: Mixon got in a limited session on Friday but needs another week to get healthy. With Dameon Pierce (hamstring) also out, it will be Cam Akers at running back for the Texans against the Jaguars today. Akers got 10 touches in a similar role last week against the Vikings. He's a Flex option in a much better matchup.
| Deebo Samuel expected to play in Week 4 Calf injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 28 2024, 11:28 pm
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to play Sunday against the New England Patriots, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Samuel missed the 49ers' loss to the Los Angeles Rams last weekend with a calf injury. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Deebo missed last week with a calf issue but is expected to play along with TE George Kittle (hamstring) in Week 4. The two returning pass catchers offer a nice boost to QB Brock Purdy who is on the low-end QB1 radar. It remains to be seen if Deebo will be limited in his return, but he's a viable WR2 play if at full strength.
| Kenneth Walker off the injury report, will play Week 4 Oblique injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 28 2024, 3:12 pm
The Seahawks ruled out four defensive players for their Monday night game at Detroit: OLBs Uchenna Nwosu and Boye Mafe, DE Leonard Williams and DT Byron Murphy.
ILB Jerome Baker is questionable.
No listing for RB Kenneth Walker, so he’ll return after missing the last two games. (Brady Henderson on X)
FFToday's Take: Walker has missed the last two games with an oblique injury but is set to return Week 4 against the Lions on Monday night. This pushes Zach Charbonnet off the must-start list and down into Flex consideration. The Lions have given up the fewest fantasy points to running backs through three games.
| Tyler Huntley gets the start at QB for the Dolphins Miami's 3rd QB of the season By: Mike Krueger | Sep 28 2024, 11:17 am
Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley will start Monday night versus the Tennessee Titans. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Quarterback number three for the Dolphins this season will be Huntley as Skylar Thompson injured his ribs in Week 3 against Seattle. While Huntley is new to the Dolphins system his does have some rushing ability which makes him more appealing than the other QBs on the roster. Still, a mid-range QB2 performance would be the likeliest outcome. Tim Boyle will work as the backup. Miami hosts Tennessee on Monday night.
| George Kittle expected to play in Week 4 TE missed Week 3 with a hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 27 2024, 4:57 pm
49ers TE George Kittle and QB Brock Purdy are off the injury report and expected to play Sunday vs. the Patriots.
Deebo Samuel is being listed as questionable for Sunday. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The 49ers will get at least one of their offensive weapons back and may get Deebo back as well. Kittle missed Week 3 with a hamstring injury and Deebo has missed the last two games with a calf issue. Samuel practiced on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday. We should get more info on his status Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

| Davante Adams Out Week 4, hamstring injury TE Michael Mayer Out as well By: Mike Krueger | Sep 27 2024, 2:34 pm
#Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) and DE Maxx Crosby (ankle) and TE Michael Mayer will all be OUT, says coach Antonio Pierce: (Paul Gutierrez on X)
FFToday's Take: The hamstring injury strikes again. The Raiders will be without two of their best players against the Browns this week. Without Adams, TE Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers are likely to be the top passing game targets with extra snaps given to Tre Tucker and D.J. Turner. Meyers is a reasonable Flex or WR3 option this week.
| Trey McBride Out Week 4 with a concussion Cardinals down a pass catcher against Commanders By: Mike Krueger | Sep 27 2024, 11:59 am
#AZCardinals coach Jonathan Gannon tells reporters that TE Trey McBride is out Sunday because of a concussion. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: McBride is second on the team in targets (21) so this will be a big loss for Arizona and fantasy owners. Backup tight ends Elijah Higgins and Tip Reiman played a similar amount of snaps last week but Reiman is still looking for his first target of the season. Higgins is the better fantasy option if you're looking for a fill-in.
| Evan Engram Doubtful for Week 4 Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 27 2024, 10:41 am
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson told reporters that TE Evan Engram is doubtful to play Sunday due to his hamstring injury, but that Engram could return in Week 5. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Engram hasn't played since Week 1 as he was ruled out during warmups prior to the Jags Week 2 game against the Browns. Jacksonville's offense has struggled to start the season, so perhaps and Engram return in Week 5 can give them a boost. In the meantime, Brenton Strange will be a TE2 option against the Texans in Week 4.
| Tank Dell unlikely to play in Week 4 Missed practice Thursday, ribs By: Mike Krueger | Sep 26 2024, 1:34 pm
#Texans’ Tank Dell managing pain of bruised ribs, unlikely to play against Jaguars; Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce still sidelined @KPRC2 (Aaron Wilson on X)
FFToday's Take: Dell has missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday due to a rib injury. If he misses Week 4 against Jacksonville, expect more receiving production from Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and TE Dalton Schultz. Cam Akers is trending to get another start as well.
| Bucky Irving misses practice, says he'll play Sunday Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 26 2024, 12:20 pm
Bucky Irving, limited Wednesday with a hamstring injury, did not practice today. Irving declines to say how or when he hurt his hamstring but reiterates: I’ll be ready for the game on Sunday.” (Greg Auman on X)
FFToday's Take: Missing a Thursday practice is never a good sign and players are always optimistic about their availability. We'll get a better idea of Bucky's true status after practice on Friday. Rachaad White has been highly inefficient this season but should still get a decent workload against the Eagles on Sunday.
| Austin Ekeler ruled Out for Week 4, concussion Didn't travel with the team to Arizona By: Mike Krueger | Sep 25 2024, 3:35 pm
Dan Quinn said RB Austin Ekeler (concussion) is OUT for Sunday’s game in Arizona. (Nicki Jhabvala on X)
FFToday's Take: Ekeler played just 13 snaps out of 59 snaps before leaving Week 3's game against the Bengals. In his absence, expect a heavy dose of Brian Robinson Jr. against the Cardinals. Jeremy McNichols will also be worked in but likely won't see enough volume to be fantasy relevant.
| Jaylen Warren expected to miss some time Knee injury; underwent MRI on Monday By: Doug Orth | Sep 24 2024, 5:40 pm
RB Jaylen Warren’s knee injury week to week. (Gerry Dulac on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Monday's MRI must have revealed enough inflammation or damage to convince the team to call him week-to-week on Tuesday. Warren's absence should be a slight boon to Najee Harris' fantasy stock, although Pittsburgh's offense has been so conservative that no one outside of George Pickens and maybe Justin Fields have been usable in fantasy. Cordarrelle Patterson figures to assume most of Warren's role in the offense and is worth adding off waivers this week.
| Bucky Irving making push for more playing time HC: Rookie RB has "earned more snaps moving forward" By: Doug Orth | Sep 23 2024, 5:30 pm
Todd Bowles says rookie RB Bucky Irving has earned more snaps going forward. (Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith)
FFToday's Take: Irving (6.2 yards per carry) has been a far superior runner to Rachaad White (2.1) through three weeks. White is so gifted as a receiving option out of the backfield that he will likely continue seeing a heavy dose of work on passing downs, but no one should be surprised if HC Todd Bowles opts for a hot-hand approach on running downs. White has quickly become more of a dicey RB2 option, while Irving has emerged as a serviceable flex with upside.
| Jordan Addison could return in Week 4 WR has been sidelined since Week 1 with ankle injury By: Doug Orth | Sep 23 2024, 5:25 pm
Kevin O'Connell said they're "optimistic" about Jordan Addison this week. Addison hasn't played since third quarter of Sept 8 win at the Giants (Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer)
FFToday's Take: Addison got hurt in the third quarter of Week 1 and has yet to practice since. This week's practice reports figure to tell fantasy managers what they need to know, but even three limited practices may be enough to get him back on the field. Jalen Nailor has started the season with touchdowns in three straight and is a worthy WR4/flex option if Addison needs one more game before he is ready.
| Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren both ailing Harris nursing likely arm injury; Warren dealing with a knee issue By: Doug Orth | Sep 23 2024, 5:05 pm
Najee Harris had a sling on his right arm in the Steelers locker room today.
Jaylen Warren is getting an MRI on his knee.
The top two RBs for Pittsburgh are banged up. (PennLive - Nick Farabaugh)
FFToday's Take: HC Mike Tomlin has yet to speak on the issue with the media, so there's not much to report yet. With that said, the fact Harris has his arm in a sling suggests he is more likely than not to miss a game for the first time in his NFL career against the Colts in Week 4. Warren dealt with a hamstring injury right before the start of the season, so his season has not gotten off to the greatest start. Cordarrelle Patterson would be the next man up for the Steelers and would be worth starting as a flex option in deeper leagues if Harris and Warren are both sidelined.

| Sprained ankle for Sam LaPorta TE was in and out after he was carted off the field in first half By: Doug Orth | Sep 23 2024, 5:00 pm
Lions HC Dan Campbell said he considers TE Sam LaPorta day-to-day with a sprained ankle. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: This sounds like the best-case scenario for LaPorta after he was carted off the field right before halftime. With that said, his practice reports this week will be more telling than anything Campbell says during a Monday presser. Brock Wright was highly involved in the first half (four catches) and would likely be worth streaming in Week 4 against the Seahawks. His fantasy managers will want to have a backup plan in place since Detroit will be playing on Monday night.
| Tee Higgins expected to play Monday night Missed Week 2 with hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 21 2024, 12:26 pm
Zac Taylor confirms Tee Higgins is good to go on Monday night.
Vonn Bell, BJ Hill are still undecided right now. Will give it more time.
Sheldon Rankins is OUT. (Kelsey Conway on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Higgins has been limited in practice this week after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. Given his history of disappointing fantasy owners with subpar games while injured, Higgins will be a risky play even in a plus matchup against the Commanders.
| Kenneth Walker listed as Doubtful Oblique injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 20 2024, 4:04 pm
Seahawks have again declared Kenneth Walker III as doubtful. Nwosu is out and George Fant and Jerome Baker also listed as doubtful: (Bob Codotta on X)
FFToday's Take: Walker is set to miss another game giving Zach Charbonnet the start against the Dolphins. Last week, Charbonnet handled 95.7% of the snaps, signaling he's in for another big workload in Week 3. The Dolphins have given up the 5th most fantasy points to RBs through two games.
| High-ankle sprain for Herbert, Questionable for Week 3 Missed practice on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Sep 20 2024, 2:46 pm
Chargers QB Justin Herbert told reporters that he suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday vs. Carolina. Chargers officially are listing Justin Herbert as questionable for Sunday’s game versus Pittsburgh. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Herbert didn't practice Wednesday or Friday this week, only getting in a limited session Thursday. It seems unlikely that he'll play but if he does, his mobility will be limited. Josh Palmer (elbow, calf) is also listed as Questionable but missed practice all week. Expect him to be on the Inactive list Sunday.
| George Kittle misses practice Thursday, hamstring 49ers down three offensive weapons By: Mike Krueger | Sep 19 2024, 4:08 pm
49ers TE George Kittle was not spotted at practice today and is experiencing tightness in his hamstring, per source. With no practice today, his status for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams is in question. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Yet another injury for San Fransisco. In addition to Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel, the 49ers are likely to be without Kittle for their Week 3 matchup against the Rams. Eric Saubert has been working as the backup tight end but has just 3 targets in two games.
| Evan Engram iffy for Monday Night Football Missed Week 2 with hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 19 2024, 11:00 am
#Jaguars coach Doug Pederson says TE Evan Engram, who injured his hamstring in pre-game warmups on Sunday "is a little bit further away." Sounds like at least very much up in the air for MNF. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Get plan B in place. It sounds like Engram is going to miss Week 3 with his hamstring injury. Brenton Strange filled in for Engram last week against the Browns and posted a 3-65-0 line on six targets. Zach Ertz also plays Monday night and could be a fill-in if he's on your waiver wire.

| Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce miss practice Wednesday Cam Akers prepping for increased role in Week 3 By: Mike Krueger | Sep 18 2024, 1:57 pm
Texans running back Cam Akers, with Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce sidelined, preps for increased role against his former team #Vikings @KPRC2 (Aaron Wilson on X)
FFToday's Take: Mixon injured his ankle in Week 2, came back into the game, the left again. With Pierce battling a hamstring injury, we could see Cam Akers get the start in Week 3 against the Vikings. Stay tuned as we'll learn more as the week goes on.
| Justin Herbert, Josh Palmer miss practice Wednesday Ankle injury for Herbert By: Mike Krueger | Sep 18 2024, 12:47 pm
Don’t see Justin Herbert (ankle) for the start of #Chargers practice. Also do not see Josh Palmer or Junior Colson (Daniel Popper on X)
FFToday's Take: Palmer is listed on the injury report with elbow and calf issues. In the Chargers run-heavy approach, Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey saw the majority of work at receiver last week against the Panthers and both appear to be better bets than Palmer this week against the Steelers given Palmer's injury status. Herbert injured his ankle last week but played the entire game.

| Tua Tagovailoa put on IR Earliest possible return is Week 8; no official timeline for now By: Doug Orth | Sep 17 2024, 5:40 pm
Sources to me and @RapSheet: The #Dolphins are placing QB Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve in order to give him ample time to progress through the stages of concussion protocol and meet with outside neurologists.
The earliest Tagovailoa could return is Week 8 against the Cardinals, but the Dolphins are committed to placing no timeline on him as he works through a deliberate process and eventual return to play. (NFL Network - Mike Garafolo)
FFToday's Take: While six-plus weeks would usually be more than enough time to recover from a concussion, Tagovailoa's history of brain injuries may keep him out longer. Either way, it's the prudent move to put him on IR and give him ample time to meet with as many outside neurologists as necessary to make the best decision for himself and his playing future. Skylar Thompson is expected to take over as the starter under center in the interim, although his presence is a downgrade for the entire offense.

| Kansas City bringing back Kareem Hunt Champs add former Chief to help replace Isiah Pacheco By: Doug Orth | Sep 17 2024, 5:30 pm
Reunion: Veteran RB Kareem Hunt is signing with the #Chiefs practice squad, per source.
After the injury to Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City brought in Hunt - the team’s 2017 third-round pick - for a workout. He should have a chance to play soon. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: While reunions with a team's former standout is almost always noteworthy, the 29-year-old Hunt has not been a good running back in either of the last two seasons behind what was a good offensive line in Cleveland. Hunt's arrival and eventual addition to the active roster figures to make it tough for fantasy managers to place any trust in Carson Steele and Samaje Perine while Pacheco is out. There is also a chance Clyde Edwards-Helaire joins the fray at some point, which could make this whole backfield almost useless from a fantasy perspective. For what it is worth, Hunt will likely be little more than insurance - probably stealing no more than five touches per game - while Pacheco is out.

| MarShawn Lloyd goes on injured reserve Suffered ankle injury in Week 2 By: Doug Orth | Sep 17 2024, 5:25 pm
Packers are placing rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. (KPRC - Aaron Wilson)
FFToday's Take: This is quickly turning into a lost season for Lloyd, who missed most of camp with a hamstring injury before making his NFL debut in Week 2. The rookie will be sidelined for at least four games, which may be enough time for Emanuel Wilson to stake his claim to the backup job for the rest of the season. If not, Chris Brooks has shown enough in limited NFL work to do so. Lloyd's IR stint should further solidify Josh Jacobs as a bellcow runner in Green Bay.

| A.J. Brown likely to miss some time Expected to miss "a couple of weeks" By: Doug Orth | Sep 16 2024, 11:50 pm
On ESPN MNF broadcast, Lisa Salters reports Eagles WR A.J. Brown - who is OUT tonight after his hamstring tightened up in practice Friday - expects to miss “a couple of weeks” with his injury. (ESPN - Stephania Bell)
FFToday's Take: There are conflicting reports on this one, as at least one source suggests Brown could have pushed to play in the team's Monday Night Football loss to the Falcons. Brown was ruled out early Sunday, however, which makes it more likely that he could miss at least another game. Fantasy managers would be wise to prepare for Brown to miss Weeks 3-4 just in case. DeVonta Smith figures to benefit the most in fantasy from his absence.
