Analysis:
Well, Gates got every single #1 vote, so there is no room
at the top for anyone else. Beyond Antonio though, the three
top five vets (Gonzo, Shockey, & Heap) hold off the youngsters
(Davis, Winslow) for now to claim the next three spots. Significant
drop-offs in value would appear to occur after #10 ( Ben Watson)
and #14 (Dallas Clark). A good group of tight ends this year,
but beyond Gates...maybe nothing special. Watch to see if
Vernon Davis and Kellen Winslow can take another step in their
development this year and prove that they should have rated
higher than the three guys immediately ahead of them in the
rankings.
