Outlook: After playing sparingly as a rookie in 2022, Chandler handled a solid 123 touches in 13 games last year as the backup to Alexander Mattison. While he showed flashes (157 total yards and a touchdown in Week 15) and had strong efficiency numbers, it wasn't enough to keep the Vikings from going out and signing Aaron Jones to a one-year deal. Chandler won't see starters touches with Jones healthy, but he may be one of the best lottery ticket handcuffs in the league. A quality receiver with good speed, Chandler should enjoy the run lanes afforded to him by defenses as they focus on the passing game. The majority of his value comes as insurance policy for Jones owners, but he's certainly worth adding for some standalone value as well, as Minnesota looks to him to spell Jones often.

Outlook: New Patriots running back Antonio Gibson finds himself in a new situation, which isn't always ideal for fantasy purposes, but the Patriots' offense isn't much worse than what he experienced with the Commanders. Unfortunately for Gibson, he joins an offense that already has a viable pass catcher out of the backfield in Rhamondre Stevenson. However, Stevenson was a major disappointment in 2023, and the new Patriots coaching staff has no ties to him. This could make Gibson a sneaky late-round value, especially considering Stevenson missed significant playing time last season and played through injuries in the games he didn't miss.
While Gibson is unlikely to be a major fantasy contributor without an injury to Stevenson, his presence could still be a thorn in the side of Stevenson managers this season.

Outlook: Selected near the top of the third round in this year's draft, Benson was the second running back off the board after Jonathan Brooks. At 6-foot, 216 pounds, he has good size, excellent speed, and is difficult to bring down on first contact. Under Mike Norvell, Florida State used Benson as their lead back but didn't saddle him with heavy usage. That's good news on two fronts as he has experience in a committee backfield and should be fresh.
In addition to his big-play ability, the former Seminole is also a solid receiver, though there is some question as to how that fits into Arizona's scheme. Last season, Conner's 27 receptions led all Cardinals RBs, which tied with TE Zach Ertz, who only played in seven games, for fifth on the club. That begs the question as to how much Arizona will use Benson in that capacity.
Benson, who has drawn comps to former Chargers RB Melvin Gordon, should be the complement to Conner when he's healthy. If/when Conner misses time, though, it remains to be seen how the Cards view him in terms of a full-time workload. As your fourth or fifth back, the rookie holds appeal.

Outlook: After Williams, the Broncos have a bit of a logjam with four legitimate candidates for meaningful snaps this season in McLaughlin, Samaje Perine, Audric Estime, and Blake Watson. Of the group, figure that Estime and McLaughlin are on the safest ground. Perine, a steady veteran, is a potential cap casualty, and Watson, an undrafted free agent, might be ticketed for a slot on the practice squad.
While Estime is more of a power back, and the one that would likely step into a lead role if anything happened with Williams, McLaughlin figures to fill a more regular role. The undersized back has tremendous speed that allowed him to make an impact last year (570 yards, 3 TDs) after making the squad as an undrafted free agent. That lack of size all but ensures he won't be a full-time back regardless of injuries, but if Perine is jettisoned, McLaughlin could be a flex candidate.
