Outlook: The Texans' air attack was subpar in 2022 as quarterback Davis Mills threw 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions -- tied for the most in the NFL. Houston aided their passing game in the offseason, by selecting Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud No. 2 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Stroud is known for his strong arm and accuracy at all three levels of the gridiron.
Stroud, who finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting in 2021 and third in 2022, threw for 8,123 yards, 85 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions during his two years as the Buckeyes' starter. However, he's going from one of the best receiving corps in college football to one of, if not the worst group of pass catchers in the NFL.
If Stroud could find a way to alter his receivers' reputation, he may be recognized for more than just the offensive rookie of the year award. Until then, he'll start the season as a late-round to undrafted quarterback in fantasy football drafts. However, should he succeed with his strong arm and accuracy, the 21-year-old may be able to offers some spot starts for your fantasy team late in the season.

Outlook: Tua Tagovailoa finished a little bit outside of the top-12 at the quarterback position in 2022, but the fact that he even came close to that number is pretty impressive. In a season marred by multiple ugly concussions, Tagovailoa finished eighth in fantasy points per game among QBs who played in at least 10 games. The former Alabama QB looked good in his third professional season, completing nearly 65 percent of his throws, including a league-leading 8.9 yards per attempt. That high efficiency also helped two of his wide receivers (Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle) finish inside the top seven scorers at the position at season's end.
Now heading into his fourth professional season, Tua will again be surrounded by those superstar wide receivers and while the Dolphins didn't do much to add to the offense, they really didn't lose much either. Tight end Mike Gesicki was the only notable player who left during the offseason and even he quietly played fewer than 50 percent of Miami's offensive snaps in 2022.
Another year in the Mike McDaniel system should help the offense become more efficient, but what's most important for Tagovailoa's fantasy outlook is his health. We've now seen him suffer a brutal hip injury just before coming to the NFL, along with broken ribs and multiple scary concussions since turning pro. It's too simplistic to say that a player is "injury prone," especially when the damages are largely unrelated, but Tua has certainly had more than his fair share of setbacks.
His lack of rushing floor means that Tua will need an exceptional touchdown rate to ever provide true difference-making fantasy production, but he's currently being drafted as a borderline QB1, which seems like it's closer to his floor than his ceiling, provided that he's able to stay healthy.

Outlook: When former Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown was traded to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft, the NFL community sensed that Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill would have no receivers to throw to, even though they acquired first-round receiver Treylon Burks in the deal. As it turns out, the NFL community was right.
Tannehill played in 12 games in 2022 (multiple injuries), recording 212 completions for 2,356 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions. He ranked 27th among quarterbacks in fantasy points with 200.6 overall and 16.7 per game. The lack of receivers was truly detrimental to his season, as the Titans went 6-6 when he was in the lineup compared to their 12-5 record the year before.
Unfortunately, the Titans didn't make any impactful changes to their receiving room this offseason, so Tannehill, who is nearly 35-years-old, is likely to perform similarly to 2022 (assuming he plays 12-17 games). In fantasy football terms, he won't be drafted and unless his receivers make tremendous strides, he won't come off the waiver wire either. Rookie QB Will Levis is waiting in the wings.

Outlook: To say Watson was rusty after his self-inflicted hiatus was an understatement. In his first four starts in a Browns uniform Watson posted a 2-3 touchdown-to-inception ratio, and labored to complete more than half of his passes. Things perked up in the final two games with five passing touchdowns, but the 2022 season was all about getting his legs under him, and distancing himself from the off the field noise.
Watson now enters his sixth year in the NFL with expanded expectations. The addition of Elijah Moore in a trade from the Jets gives Watson a potentially lethal slot man, rookie 3rd round receiver Cedric Tillman provides a big body out wide, and the rest of skill position players are veteran playmakers. This division is stacked, and Cleveland should find themselves in more than a few shootouts. With a distraction-free offseason to get better acquainted with the playbook and speed of the game, Watson should be in line for a massive bounceback season. Before derailing his career, Watson was on an All-Pro trajectory, and will very likely return to provide top-10 upside in 2023.
