Sanu quietly posted the best fantasy season of his seven-year NFL career in 2018 as the No.3 wide receiver for Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Like all of the Falcon skill position players, a poor defense forced the team to play from behind and score at a high rate to stay in games. With the defense back to full health entering 2019, don't be surprised to see Ryan and the Falcons lean more on the run in positive game scripts.
The fact that Sanu is the fourth or fifth option for Ryan makes him a low-end WR3 at best at the start of the season. Should Julio Jones or Calvin Ridley sustain an injury, Sanu would see a massive jump in value as a low-end WR2 in most formats.

Patriots preparing not to have Phillip Dorsett Patriots ailing at WR position By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 23, 9:07 am

| | Some context on injury front: WR Phillip Dorsett (concussion) has not been given clearance by doctors to resume full football activity. Thus, Patriots preparing for the increasing likelihood he won’t be available vs. Cowboys. WR spot a concern w/ Mohamed Sanu (ankle) also ailing. (Mike Reiss on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Mohamed Sanu rumored to need a couple weeks to recover from his ankle injury the Pats could be starting Julian Edelman, N'Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers at wide receiver against the Cowboys on Sunday. If so, Edeleman would be the only trustworthy fantasy option along with James White at running back.

| Mohamed Sanu heading to New England Falcons will receive a 2020 second-rounder for versatile veteran WR By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Oct 22, 10:50 am

| | Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) on Twitter: "Another trade: Falcons are sending WR Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots in exchange for a second-round pick, league sources tell ESPN." (ESPN/Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This move bumps up the fantasy value of Sanu, who's a proven veteran WR with versatility the Patriots have likely coveted for years. The rich get richer, and Sanu becomes a viable WR3 with the current injuries to the Pats receiving corps.
