2019 Outlook
Depth Chart
Hilton tied JuJu Smith-Schuster for the final WR1 spot based on FFToday standard scoring. His 11.6 fantasy points per game were the second-most of his eight-year NFL career and the third time in which the speedy WR topped 11 FPts/G.

A lack of touchdown production has always limited Hilton's upside, as the former third-round pick from Florida International has yet to top more than seven receiving touchdowns in any season. Hilton makes up for his lack of receiving touchdowns by posting six consecutive 100-plus target seasons, including a 2016 campaign in which he led the league with 1,448 receiving yards.

The Colts project to be a top-5 offense this season backed by an elite offensive line, a more than capable running back tandem of Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines, and the best wide receiving/tight end corps Andrew Luck has ever had, with Hilton leading the group as the WR1.

The overall improvement of the offense could lead to fewer targets for Hilton. The big plays will be there, and Hilton will reward his owners with a few monster games. Just don't be surprised if he finishes outside the top 12 at the position based on consistency score, like he did last year as WR18.

Injury T.Y. Hilton's return in doubt
Calf injury has caused him to miss four of five games
By: Doug Orth | Mon Dec 2, 5:15 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Reich: T.Y. Hilton. Hopeful he'll return this season. (Mike Chappell on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This sounds ominous. The Colts' season is trending downward pretty quickly, so it may not make a lot of sense for him to rush back. Indianapolis has turned run-heavy without Jacoby Brissett still hurting and without a healthy Hilton in the lineup. With Brissett at less than 100 percent and the season getting away from them, don't be surprised if Indianapolis shuts him down soon.

Injury T.Y. Hilton, Ebron listed as Questionable
Colts vs Texans on Thursday night
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 20, 1:30 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Worth noting: Pierre Desir no designation, which means he's good to go. T.Y. Hilton was FULL on a walk-thru Wed. Expecting him to play. (Mike Chappell on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Colts didn't actually practice on Wednesday so their participation is only an estimation. It sounds like Hilton and Eric Ebron (ankle) are trending towards playing. That will be good news for the entire Colts offense. Jordan Wilkins - not listed on the injury report - is expected to play and should share carries with Jonathan Williams.

Injury Jacoby Brissett will start against Jaguars
Parris Campbell, T.Y. Hilton ruled out
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 15, 1:30 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Jacoby Brissett made it through the week without incident. Officially named the starter. Two players ruled out: Parris Campbell and T.Y. Hilton. (George Bremer on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Brissett missed last week with a sprained MCL but will return in Week 11 against the Jaguars. Without Hilton, it's hard to get excited about Brissett's fantasy propects but his presence does help the likes of Zach Pascal and tight ends Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle.

Injury Jacoby Brissett a gametime decision
Sprained MCL
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 8, 1:45 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Colts HC Frank Reich says QB Jacoby Brissett is a game-time decision to play vs. the Dolphins. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is obviously a tasty matchup for the Colts but if Brissett (knee) does play he'll do so at less than 100 percent and without the services of T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand). Brian Hoyer would get the start if Brissett can't go but expect to see a lot of Marlon Mack in this game.

T.Y. Hilton out with calf injury
Injury occurred in practice on Wednesday
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 1, 1:30 pm

Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton will not play in Sunday's game at Pittsburgh due to a calf injury, coach Frank Reich said Friday. Reich said that type of injury generally keeps a player out 3-4 weeks. Reich said the injury occurred in practice Wednesday. Hilton missed the Colts’ Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders because of a quad injury. The Colts are 0-5 without Hilton since he entered the NFL in 2012. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Ouch. The Colts have lost their best playmaker which isn't good news for the offense in general. Zach Pascal could lead the team in targets but more opportunities are available for Deon Cain and Parris Campbell. The Colts could also use more two tight end sets with Eric Ebron () and Jack Doyle

Injury T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron in doubt for Week 9
Calf and ankle injuries, respectively
By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 31, 7:20 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton‘s outlook for Sunday’s game against the Steelers got a little cloudier on Thursday. Hilton was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to a calf issue, but things took a step in the wrong direction on Thursday. Hilton was out of practice altogether. Friday will bring further word on his chances of playing in Week Nine. That will also be the case for tight end Eric Ebron. He was not on the injury report at all on Wednesday, but was out of practice with an ankle injury on Thursday. (Pro Football Talk - Josh Alper)

FFToday's Take: Mid-week downgrades are usually problematic, so fantasy owners - especially those with Hilton since he has been a solid WR2 for most of the season - need to be prepared for the worst and have a backup plan in mind if he needs to sit this week. After a career year in 2018 with Andrew Luck, Ebron has devolved into a hit-or-miss TE2 catching passes from Jacoby Brissett.

Injury T.Y Hilton expected to play, Mack gametime call
Quad injury for Hitlon
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 6, 7:15 am

Indianapolis Colts
For the SNF game, there is optimism that #Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) plays, while RB Marlon Mack (ankle) is a game-time call, but the team will be cautious. Meanwhile, #Chiefs RB Damien Williams (knee) and WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) both should play, sources say. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Hilton was limited in practice this week but it appears he will give it a go on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs. He'll be a risky low-end WR1 in this matchup. If Mack sits, Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines would handle running back duties with Hines more likely to see the bulk of the pass-catching work.

Injury T.Y. Hilton listed as Doubtful
Quad injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 27, 4:40 pm

Indianapolis Colts
T.Y. Hilton stood in front of his cubicle after missing a third straight practice, and would shed zero light on his status for Sunday. The Colts offered more reliable clarity by listing Hilton "doubtful" on the Friday injury report. According to the NFL, "doubtful" means a player is "unlikely to play." The team also made a roster move that indicated Hilton won’t be available. It elevated rookie wideout Ashton Dulin to the active roster and waived cornerback Ryan Lewis. (Fox 59)

FFToday's Take: Hilton has missed practice all week and then played on Sunday in the past but the Doubtful designation suggests he's not going to suit up in Week 4. If Hilton misses, Chester Rogers, Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell and Deon Cain would be the top wideouts but it would be difficult to feel comfortable putting any of them in fantasy lineups.

Injury T.Y. Hilton misses practice Wednesday
Quad injury
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 25, 12:30 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton (quad) and linebacker Darius Leonard (concussion) will not practice Wednesday. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Hilton re-aggravated his quad injury in Week 3 and isn't likely to practice much this week. We'll get a better feel for his status for Week 4 on Friday. Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Deon Cain are going to be uninspiring fantasy options even if Hilton doesn't play

Injury T.Y. Hilton aggravates quad in Week 4
Appears to be questionable versus Raiders
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 23, 5:10 pm

Indianapolis Colts
Reich says T.Y. Hilton "re-aggravated the quad, and we'll see how he progresses this week." (Herald Bulletin - George Bremer)

FFToday's Take: The good news is that he stayed in the game a few plays after doing so - he caught a touchdown on his last play before heading to the locker room - so there is hope this isn't a multi-week and/or lingering injury. However, owners should expect a questionable tag this week and need to prepare as if Hilton won't go against the Raiders in Week 4.
