|Although Miller played in just 14 games this past season and managed to post only six total touchdowns, he did notch his best yard per carry average (4.6) in his three seasons with the Texans.
Miller is the epitome of an unsexy running back pick that nobody seems excited to draft, but a player who makes a fine No.2 RB or flex play. Miller posted four 100-yard games and nine games of at least 10 fantasy points.
The 28-year-old veteran is playing out his final year of a four-year, $26 million contract with the team, and appears to be on his way out of Houston. The team may take the approach the Cowboys did with DeMarco Murray a few years ago, and run the heck out of a player they know they will no longer have after this season. It is also possible that they give D'Onta Foreman more touches to ensure Miller is ready for a playoff run.

FFToday's Take: The Texans recently released D'Onta Foreman leaving them short on experience at running back. Despite the Browns head coach and GM stating Johnson had a role with the team, they ultimately grant the players wish for a trade. This is a decent landing spot for Johnson's fantasy value who should slide in as the backup behind Lamar Miller.
|Texans waive RB D'Onta Foreman|
Coach not happy with Foreman's work habits

|The Texans have placed running back D'Onta Foreman on waivers, creating a backup spot on the roster behind starter Lamar Miller. During camp, it was apparent coach Bill O'Brien wasn't happy with Foreman's progress. Those familiar with the situation say the Texans weren't happy with Foreman's work habits and a continuing problem for being late to meetings. Now they'll have to find his replacement. FFToday's Take: Mayabe this will give Foreman the wakeup call he needs. The Texans now have a backup running back job open behind Lamar Miller. Next up on the depth chart include Josh Ferguson, Buddy Howell, Taiwan Jones and undrafted rookies Damarea Crockett. It's very possible the team brings in a veteran free agent.
