2022 Outlook
Depth Chart
Ertz was a nice acquisition for the Cardinals, posting a 56-574-3 line in 11 games after coming over from the Eagles. That earned the veteran a three-year deal with the club. Entering his age-32 season, Ertz may be on the downside of his career, but he's still a reliable volume target that has topped 70 receptions in six of his last seven seasons.

There will be competition for snaps, however, as Ertz is joined in the tight end room by second-round pick Trey McBride and Maxx Williams, who'd put together a couple of big games before suffering a torn ACL in Week 5, which led to the Ertz trade. Neither player is likely to overtake Ertz, but they could siphon away production. That leaves Ertz as a borderline top-10 option with some downside.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Zach Ertz likely done for the year
Knee injury
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 14, 7:25 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Sources: #AZCardinals TE Zach Ertz has suffered a season-ending knee injury. A brutal reality for Arizona and its veteran. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: After Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, Ertz was operating as the overall TE3 in fantasy for most of the season. Ertz's absence opens the door for Trey McBride to step into his role, although the rookie will be hard-pressed to be even a low-end TE1 despite his obvious talent. It is much more likely Ertz's targets will be redistributed to DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore in the short term - at least until Marquise Brown is able to return.

Injury Zach Ertz expected to be out multiple weeks
Knee injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 13, 9:35 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Cardinals TE Zach Ertz, spotted in a brace after Arizona’s win, is expected to miss multiple weeks with the knee injury he suffered today, per source. The team does suspect that his ACL is intact, however. But Ertz will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine full extent of injury. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Ertz was carted off in Week 10 against the Rams but hopefully his knee injury isn't a season-ender. Trey McBride and Stephen Anderson are next up on the depth chart but we could see more WR usage while Ertz is out. Paging Robbie Anderson?

Injury Marquise Brown likely out at least six weeks
Non-surgical fracture; seeking second opinion
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 17, 6:30 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Some good news for AZCardinals WR Marquise Brown: Following the MRI, his foot isn’t as bad as was initially thought. It’s a small, non-surgical fracture, source said. Recovery time is about 6 weeks. He’s getting a second opinion from Dr. Robert Anderson before moving forward. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: Brown and his fantasy managers can feel slightly better about this timeline than the one earlier Monday that had him possibly missing the rest of the season. As it is with this new timeline, however, he may miss the rest of the fantasy season. It is also possible that the Cardinals choose to keep him in bubble wrap if they fall too far back in the NFC West over the next month or so - which is a distinct possibility. In Brown's absence, DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore and Zach Ertz should all be locked into the majority of fantasy lineups.

Injury Cards hopeful on Rondale Moore, A.J. Green doubtful
Hamstring injury for Moore
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 28, 1:09 pm

Arizona Cardinals
Kingsbury said he is hopeful that WR Rondale Moore can give the Cardinals something Sunday, although it may be limited given how much time he has been out. Kliff said WR A.J. Green is doubtful to play this week with the knee injury. (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Moore has been battling a hamstring injury and has yet to play this season. It sounds like he's going to give it a go this week but may be limited. The passing offense should continue to flow through Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch and TE Zach Ertz in Week 4.
