2020 Outlook
Depth Chart
After setting an NFL record for catches in a season to tight ends in 2018, Ertz was somewhat of a disappointment for owners last season based on where he was drafted. Ertz posted single-digit fantasy performances in seven of his first eight games, as teams opted to bracket cover him with the team dealing with injuries to wide receivers. Despite his fall off from the previous season, Ertz did end the season with the second-most catches in his career and six receiving touchdowns.

If DeSean Jackson can stay healthy and other Eagles wide receivers step up for the injured Alshon Jeffery, Ertz could once again see primarily linebacker and nickel back coverage, giving him the opportunity to thrive. You could also argue that Ertz and Dallas Goedert are the only two targets Wentz trusts at this time outside of Jackson, which could lead to a ton of targets and volume.

Another thing to consider is the quality of targets that Ertz received last season. His 19 red zone targets were tied with George Kittle and Mark Andrews for second at the tight end position, despite Ertz missing time with injuries. With Jeffery (the top red zone threat at the WR position for the team) out to start the year, Ertz could be in line for an uptick in touchdown production.

Injury Dallas Goedert (ankle) coming off IR
Eagles TE taking "important step" in return to practice field
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Wed Oct 28, 10:30 am

Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles on Wednesday morning activated the 21-day practice window for tight end Dallas Goedert, the first important step to his returning to game action. Goedert has been on IR with a fractured ankle since Sept. 29. (NBC Sports)

FFToday's Take: Goedert will immediately be a plug-n-play TE with Zach Ertz already sidelined and Richard Rodgers offering moderate value.

Injury DeSean Jackson expected to play Week 7
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 21, 11:56 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Ealges injury status for Giants, per Pederson: OUT Miles Sanders Zach Ertz Malik Jackson Alshon Jeffery IN DeSean Jackson Lane Johnson Avonte Maddox Duke Riley (Tim McManus on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Jackson last played in Week 3 against the Bengals and has 10 catches on the year. He'll be a welcome addition for the Eagles depleted receiving corps but will be a risky play fantasy owners in Week 7. The wait continues for Alshon Jeffery.

Injury Miles Sanders, Zach Ertz expected to miss Week 7
Ertz out for 3-to-4 weeks with ankle injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Oct 19, 1:25 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles expect Miles Sanders to miss Thursday night's game with knee injury... Zach Ertz also expected out for 3-to-4 weeks with an ankle injury, according to sources. (Chris Mortensen on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Eagles have been decimated with injuries this season to their offensive skill position players. Boston Scott will be a hot pickup off the waiver wire this week ahead of his matchup against the Giants. Travis Fulgham is the only Eagles receiver considering in fantasy until DeSean Jackson and/or Alshon Jeffery return from injury.

Injury Dallas Goedert expected to miss a couple weeks
Small fracture in his ankle
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Sep 29, 10:15 am

Philadelphia Eagles
#Eagles TE Dallas Goedert has a very small fracture in his ankle that won’t require surgery, per source, but he’s expected to be out at least a couple weeks. Another blow to Carson Wentz’s supporting cast. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Goedert has become a low-end TE1 this season thanks to the lack of weapons on the outside for the Eagles. DeSean Jackson is dealing with a hamstring injury leaving John Hightower and Greg Ward to see more opportunities. TE Zach Ertz should be heavily targeted in Week 4 against the 49ers.

Injury Jalen Reagor out with thumb injury
Torn UCL in his thumb
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 23, 2:52 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Sources say hope is Jalen Reagor can be back after the bye week November 15 That would mean he could miss 7 weeks with torn UCL in his thumb Tough injury for a WR with impact of catching the ball on his thumb (John Clark on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is the same injury Drew Brees had last season. Brees ended up missing five games. It's safe to say this is going to be a lost season for the rookie. Expect the Eagles to continue featuring tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. DesSean Jackson is the only Eagles' wide receiver fantasy owners should be targeting.

Injury Jalen Reagor expected to play
Shoulder injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 12, 11:05 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles’ first-round pick Jalen Reagor, who was limited some at practice last week before practicing in full Friday due to a shoulder injury, will play today vs. the Washington Football Team. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Reagor's shoulder injury was expected to keep him sidelined to start the season. Surprise. He will join DeSean Jackson and Zach Ertz as the top targets for Carson Wentz against Washington in Week 1. Fantasy owners with the luxury of not forcing the rookie into their lineup might elect to wait a week just to make sure he isn't limited in Week 1.
