Welcome to the rarified air of elite fantasy receivers Davante Adams! His ascension to stardom was easy to see coming, as it's been building for several seasons. Despite being on a struggling offense that had a gimpy quarterback, Adams was No.2 in the NFL with 169 targets, 5th in receptions, 7th in yards, and 2nd in touchdowns with 13.
A true complete fantasy receiver, Adams enters the prime of his career as the apple of Rodgers' eye and the clear alpha in a fresh, modern offensive passing scheme. With the improved development of the young receivers around him, and a more emphasis on the run game, duplicating the 169 targets and 13 touchdowns is going to be a challenge, but with Rodgers healthier the two should be even more deadly and efficient. Hopkins, Julio Jones and Adams should be vying for the top fantasy finishes at this position, so don't hesitate to grab the budding star.

Davante Adams nearing return Sidelined since Week 4 with toe injury By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 31, 7:00 pm

| | Davante Adams has officially returned to practice. He's just waiting for final doctor's approval to play. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)
FFToday's Take: Adams practiced in pads Thursday for the first time since getting hurt, suggesting his return is imminent - be it this week or next. A return in Week 9 would likely mean he would draw shadow coverage from Casey Hayward, but it is unlikely fantasy owners have better options during the bye-week crunch. On the plus side, Adams has been about as matchup-proof as receivers come in recent years, and it seems unlikely things would be any different now.

| Davante Adams ruled out for Week 7 MVS or Allison still uncertain By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 18, 1:23 pm

| | Davante Adams is OUT for Sunday vs. Oakland, Matt LaFleur says. Won’t divulge status of MVS or Allison yet. (Matt Schneidman on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Adams isn't ready to return from his toe injury while Marquez Valdes-Scantling (ankle/knee) and Geronimo Allison (concussion) are still up in the air. Allen Lazard could be a thing this week if all three of Green Bay's wideouts sit against the Raiders. He received 5 targets last week against the Lions.

| Adams, MVS, Allison miss practice Thursday Jimmy Graham sits too By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 17, 1:38 pm

| | #Packers not practicing in today’s padded session:
WR Davante Adams (toe)
S Darnell Savage (ankle)
CB Tramon Williams (?)
TE Jimmy Graham (ankle)
WR Geronimo Allison (concussion/chest)
WR MVS (ankle/knee)
TE Robert Tonyan (hip)
DL Kenny Clark(calf)
That’s a lot of pass catchers. (Ryan Wood on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Green Bay may have a lot of unfamiliar names at wide receiver this week. Allen Lazard and Jake Kumerow could play significant roles if Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allison all sit.

| Packers likley to be without Davante Adams Toe injury By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 11, 2:28 pm

| | From NFL Now: The #Packers are likely going to be without WR Davante Adams (turf toe) this Monday, but a return looms from an injury that had a timetable of 2-6 weeks. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Adams owners need to find a replacement. He injured his toe in Week 4 but isn't ready to return. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison will the top two receivers for the time being. The Packers have above average matchups on their upcoming schedule including games against OAK, KC and LAC.

| Jamaal Williams back at practice, Davante sits Packers Thursday practice report By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 10, 1:51 pm

| | #Packers Thursday practice report:
RB Jamaal Williams has cleared concussion protocol & returned to practice.
DNP: WR Davante Adams, S Darnell Savage Jr., TE Bobby Tonyan, CB Tony Brown
C Corey Linsley is practicing, though he has yet to clear concussion protocol. (Matt Schneidman on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Williams missed Week 5 with a concussion which allowed Aaron Jones to pile up the fantasy points against the Cowboys. Adams is nursing a turf toe injury suffered in Week 4. His status won't be known until later in the week, perhaps late Sunday given the Packers play on Monday night.

| Adams, Williams miss practice Thursday for Packers Adams does light jogging off to the side By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 3, 2:20 pm

| | Davante Adams (toe) did a little jogging off to the side and Jamaal Williams (concussion) went through stretching but neither practiced. Same with cornerbacks Kevin King (groin) and Tony Brown (hamstring). (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Adams suffered a toe injury in Week 4 and appears to be headed for the Inactive list along with Jamaal Williams (concussion). If they do sit, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison and Jake Kumerow would be the top three receivers with Dexter Williams backing up Aaron Jones at running back.

| Davante Adams dealing with turf toe Forced from TNF midway through fourth quarter By: Doug Orth | Fri Sep 27, 2:00 am

| | The only thing that could stop Davante Adams and the Green Bay Packers' offense Thursday was the little blue injury tent adjacent to their bench. The Pro Bowl receiver was having the most productive game of his career - 10 catches for 180 yards - before being forced off the field because of a toe injury midway through the fourth quarter. Adams conducted his postgame interview holding his right shoe in his hand. He called it a turf toe injury and said it was so painful "I don't even want to try" to put his shoe on. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)
FFToday's Take: It seems almost unthinkable what Adams' absence might do to this passing game, but it's looking like a reality now. Toe injuries are particularly devastating for receivers and running backs, so we may not see him anywhere close at 100 percent the rest of the year. Bigger roles are likely in the immediate futures of Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison.
