Mike Evans continues his Hall of Fame career by producing thousand-yard season after thousand-yard season. And while he hasn't surpassed 80 receptions since 2018, his double-digit TDs in four of his last five seasons (57 total during that stretch) have made him a foundational piece for any fantasy team. Such consistency makes him an alluring option, but one of these years his production will fall off the table. Will it be this season?
Evans will share targets with Chris Godwin and newcomer Emeka Ebugka, in addition to RB Bucky Irving. It helps that the Bucs had the 10th-most pass attempts last season, so there should be enough to go around.
At this stage of a great player's career, we should start looking for any signs of decline. In Evans' case, perhaps we can point to his 13.6 yards per reception in 2024 being the lowest of his career. Or that he played in the fewest games (14) since 2019. To be sure, those are hair-splitting analyses in an attempt to find fault with Evans. But the fact remains -- Evans is a top-level fantasy receiver and he puts your team in a nice position if you can secure him as your WR2.

 Bucs activate Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan off IR

FFToday's Take: It's unclear how much Evans will play in Week 15 against the Falcons but with the passing game struggling the last few weeks, his return can only help. It wouldn't be surprising to see him on a pitch count so fantasy expectations should be tempered.

FFToday's Take: Evans has been out of action since breaking his collarbone in Week 7 and McMillan has yet to play this season after he fractured three vertebrae in his neck this preseason. Both are expected to be limited in practice today. It's unlikely these two will play this week and the Bucs play on Thursday night in Week 15.

| | Mike Evans suffered a broken collarbone during Monday night's 24-9 loss to the Detroit Lions, an injury that will sideline him for most of the remaining season, according to coach Todd Bowles. Evans, who also sustained a concussion, was carted to the locker room in the second quarter. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Evans had just returned from a hamstring injury that cost him three games. Now, he'll likely miss a big chuck of the remaining regular season. The Bucs are thin at the wideout position with Chris Godwin (ankle) still out. They'll move forward with Emeka Egbuka, Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard as their top three wideouts.

Rookie WR playing despite suffering hamstring injury in Week 6

FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers are on their own in this one, as there is no way to know if Egbuka will handle his normal allotment of snaps or will serve as a decoy. With that said, he is unlikely to be used just as a decoy. Managers who took the chance on Egbuka playing this weekend are unlikely to have many choices with more upside anyway. If the rookie is a full-go, he faces a Detroit secondary that is more beat up than his receiver counterparts. Don't be surprised if he returns WR2 production or better. The same could be said for Evans.
