Damien Williams has a chance play Week 14 Rib injury By: Mike Krueger | Tue Dec 3, 7:25 pm

| |
On the Spencer Ware signing, my understanding is that Damien Williams has a chance to play Sunday at Patriots. So Ware at this point is more an emergency signing but Chiefs will see how the week works out for Williams. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Damien injured his ribs in Week 11 and hasn't played since and with Darrel Williams suffering a knee injury in Week 13, the Chiefs are suddenly thin at running back. Free agent Spencer Ware has been signed and Darwin Thompson figures to get some work even if Damien plays against the Patriots. We'll have a better idea of the Chiefs RB situation after practice on Friday.

Damien Williams misses practice Wednesday Rib injury By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 27, 12:45 pm

| |
Tyreek Hill will practice today for the Chiefs. We’ll see later how much he does. But Damien Williams among those who won’t work today. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Hill is expected to get in a full practice today, indicating his hamstring pull in Week 11 was minor. Williams is dealing with a rib injury and appears to be on the wrong side of questionable this week. LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams should handle the bulk of running back duties against the Raiders.

Damien Williams, Tyreek Hill injured on MNF Chiefs dealing with injuries to offensive starters, bye week will help By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Nov 19, 11:00 am

| |
After losing wide receiver Tyreek Hill to a hamstring injury earlier in the game, the Chiefs have now lost running back Damien Williams to a rib injury and safety Jordan Lucas to a shoulder injury. The players were listed as questionable to return but didn't make it back in the game. (Chiefs Wire)
FFToday's Take: Wow. Williams started for the Chiefs but had just four carries for 7 yards and one catch for 6 yards on one target before leaving right before halftime. LeSean McCoy had a TD run and he and Darrel Williams while Damien is out. Luckily, they'll have a bye week now to rest up. McCoy is worth a speculative add in leagues where he's been dropped.

Damien Williams misses practice, personal reasons Listed as questionable By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 16, 2:00 pm

| |
RB Damien Williams missed the last two practices of the week for personal reasons but will play on Monday night against the Chargers. Williams is listed as questionable to play on Monday night on the week's final injury report, so there is some doubt about his availability. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We should get word at some point tomorrow if Williams makes the trip with the team to Mexico. Williams owners should have plan B in place in case he's not on the plane. If he sits, LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams would likely split time Monday night against the Chargers.

LeSean McCoy inactive Boost for Damien Williams By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 10, 11:30 am

| |
Chiefs’ RB LeSean McCoy is inactive today. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With McCoy out, Damien Williams gets a boost in expected usage along with Darrell Williams in a reserve role. Damien is now in the RB2 territory discussion against the Titans.

T.Y Hilton expected to play, Mack gametime call Quad injury for Hitlon By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 6, 7:15 am

| |
For the SNF game, there is optimism that #Colts
WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) plays, while RB Marlon Mack (ankle) is a game-time call, but the team will be cautious. Meanwhile, #Chiefs RB Damien Williams (knee) and WR Sammy Watkins (shoulder) both should play, sources say. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Hilton was limited in practice this week but it appears he will give it a go on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs. He'll be a risky low-end WR1 in this matchup. If Mack sits, Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines would handle running back duties with Hines more likely to see the bulk of the pass-catching work.

Tyreek Hill out, Damien Williams expected to play Crowded RB room in KC By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 4, 2:00 pm

| |
Tyreek Hill will not play for the Chiefs in Sunday night's game against the Colts. He will be listed as out on the final injury report of the week. "He got out and mixed it up and worked in some team periods,'' coach Andy Reid said of Hill's practice week. "He did a nice job but he's just not ready to go yet . . . He wants to play but at the same time it's not your normal injury that you have. We've just got to make sure that he's right and you don't have any setbacks.'' (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Tyreek Hill will sit out another week with his chest injury but it's possible he could return in Week 6. The Chiefs will head into the Colts game with all three of Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams available making it difficult for fantasy owners to trust any of them in Week 5 lineups.

Tyreek Hill, Damien Williams practicing WR limited, RB practicing in full By: Doug Orth | Thu Oct 3, 7:20 pm

| |
Tyreek Hill (shoulder) was limited in practice again, while Damien Williams (knee) practiced in full for a second straight day Thursday. (chiefs.com)
FFToday's Take: It seems unlikely Hill will play this week after being out since Week 1, but it's a good sign for his Week 6 prospects. The real intrigue is in the backfield. Williams began the season as the starter but did virtually nothing on the ground before getting hurt. LeSean McCoy's role is the most secure, but he has registered no more than 11 carries in a game. Darrel Williams has played too well for HC Andy Reid to bench. Owners are advised to sit tight until this thing sorts itself out.

Tyreek Hill, Damien Williams will practice Wed. Key offensive pieces return for KC By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 2, 12:45 pm

| |
Tyreek Hill and Damien Williams will practice today as Chiefs begin preparations for Sunday night's game against the Colts. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Andy Reid was evasive on how much the two would practice but it's a step in the right direction for the availability of both on Sunday night against the Colts. Hill's return would likely put a damper on the fantasy value rookie Mecole Hardman.

Damien Williams misses practice Thursday Trending towards missing Week 4 By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 26, 12:45 pm

| |
Damien Williams will again not practice for the Chiefs today. Looking like a second straight week off for him. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Williams missed Week 3 with a knee injury and appears to be headed for a similar fate in Week 4. That would leave the running back duties to LeSean McCoy (ankle) and Darrel Williams with Williams being the healthiest of the two. Both will be Flex considerations against the Lions.

Damien Williams out, McCoy practices Friday More opportunities for Darwin Thompson By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 20, 3:00 pm

| |
Rookie running back Darwin Thompson played a handful of snaps in the Chiefs’ first two games but his first significant playing time could come on Sunday against the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. Starter Damien Williams will not play because of a knee injury, so there’s some playing time available. LeSean McCoy appears he will be ready to play but the Chiefs are likely to be cautious about overloading him. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: With Williams out, the Chiefs will head into Week 3 with McCoy, Thompson and Darrell Williams at running back. McCoy got in a full practice on Friday and is expected to start. McCoy feels like a low-end RB2 given his ankle injury while Thompson is more of a flex option against the Ravens.

Kansas City RBs struggling to get healthy Damien Williams has yet to practice; LeSean McCoy limited Thursday By: Doug Orth | Thu Sep 19, 11:30 pm

| |
Damien Williams has not practiced Wednesday or Thursday due to a bruised knee and was "limping considerably." LeSean McCoy (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. (NFL Network - James Palmer)
FFToday's Take: HC Andy Reid mentioned earlier in the week that he wants to make sure he can trust rookie Darwin Thompson with his assignments before he gives him significant playing time. He may not have a choice if things continue down this path. Make no mistake; if Thompson gets a chance to prove he's ready and performs as well as he did during the preseason, there's a solid chance he will force his way into the mix. Thompson needs to be rostered in all the most shallow of leagues right now.

Damien Williams misses practice Wednesday LeSean McCoy may give it a go By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 18, 12:45 pm

| |
LeSean McCoy (ankle) will try and practice today and Damien Williams (knee) will not practice, per Andy Reid. (BJ Kissel on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Andy Reid described Williams' injury as a bruise on his knee. He gave the impression that McCoy would try and do a little bit in practice, giving the impression he'll likely be labeled as "limited" on Wednesday. If either one of the two Chiefs' RBs sits this week, Darwin Thompson would likely see increased snaps.

LeSean McCoy's MRI shows no significant damage Chiefs veteran RB "has a shot" to play Sunday By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Sep 17, 8:55 am

| |
Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) on Twitter:
"#Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy’s MRI showed no significant damage to his ankle, sources say, and he has a shot to play in Sunday’s AFC showdown with the #Ravens." (Twitter)
FFToday's Take: McCoy apparently has a "shot" to play in Sunday's Week 3 showdown against the Ravens, but there's no word on the status of Damien Williams, who's injury has been listed as both knee and groin in different reports. Stay tuned, because rookie Darwin Thompson could get few more touches and vault into flex status if either back sits. Williams would be a RB2/3 if he plays and McCoy will assume his normal RB3/FLEX status if he's active.

Chiefs RBs banged up in Week 2 LeSean McCoy, Damien Williams go down late By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 16, 5:20 pm

| |
Chiefs RB Damien Williams left with a right knee contusion. RB LeSean McCoy left late with an ankle injury. (Chiefs Digest)
FFToday's Take: For as much as Patrick Mahomes doing for the passing game, the running game has been a bit lacking. Williams has produced as a receiver so far, but he's mustered a mere 34 yards on 22 carries through two games. McCoy was very good in the opener but bottled up in Week 2. Should either player be forced to sit out Week 3, fantasy owners might get a chance to see what preseason star Darwin Thompson could do in more of a full-time role.
