2024 Outlook
Depth Chart
A little touchdown regression knocked him down a few spots in the rankings, but Cooper put up another solid campaign in 2023 with a 72-1250-5 line, despite missing two games. His 11-265-2 Week 16 line likely won plenty of fantasy championships, but the storm clouds are gathering for the 2024 season. Trying to cash in a final time, Cooper enters his age-30 season on the final year of his deal. So far, he's sat out all of the offseason, including mandatory camp, and there's a buzz that could continue into late July. The offseason trade for Jerry Jeudy not only puts a damper on Cooper being the lone threat out wide, but also gives the Browns some leverage in negotiations. Missing camp, or "holding in" is a huge red flag, especially for guys like Cooper who have a history of soft tissue injuries. If things become copacetic between the Browns and Cooper, I'd be happy to trot him out as a solid WR2, but the combination of a lengthy camp absence and addition of Jeudy would present some major reservations, especially at such a deep fantasy position.

Injury Dalton Kincaid Out for Week 11, Amari Cooper Questionable
Knee injury for Kincaid
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 15, 11:33 am

Buffalo Bills
Bills coach Sean McDermott said on @WGR550 that tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) has been ruled OUT vs. the Chiefs. RT Spencer Brown (ankle) and WR Amari Cooper (wrist) will be listed as questionable for the game and limited in practice. (Alaina Getzenberg on X)

FFToday's Take: Kincaid suffered a knee injury last week. He came back into the game but exited again and has missed practice all week. The Bills have a bye in Week 12. Dawson Knox will have an opportunity to see his targets increase against a Chiefs defense that is a plus matchup for tight ends. He'll be on the TE2 radar in Week 11.

Injury Amari Cooper still day-to-day
Wrist injury sidelined him in Week 9
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 4, 11:30 pm

Buffalo Bills
WR Amari Cooper (wrist) is considered day-to-day, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott. (WGR 550 - Sal Capaccio)

FFToday's Take: Cooper was a surprise inactive in Week 9 after he was deemed questionable on the team's final injury report following a week full of limited practices. What it means is we will probably need to see at least one full practice this week before we can assume he has a chance to play in Week 10 against the Colts. The lack of activity also isn't helping him build chemistry with his new quarterback, so fantasy managers are advised to keep him on the bench until he shows he is developing a connection with Josh Allen.

Trade: Cleveland sends WR Amari Cooper to Buffalo
Browns get third round pick
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Oct 15, 2:18 pm

Cleveland Browns
Full trade, per multiple sources: Browns are getting a 3rd round and the Bills get Amari Cooper. The two teams are also going to make a swap of late picks. Bills get a 6th, Browns get a 7th. (Jordan Schultz on X)

FFToday's Take: The Bills have been lacking an alpha receiver in their offense and now they get one. They've been using a 5-man receiver rotation but we'll see if this move helps condense their rotation to Cooper, Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman. Perhaps Mack Hollins will stay on the field and Cooper will push Coleman to the bench. Either way, this is a good move for Cooper's fantasy value as he gets a big upgrade in quarterback play.
