49ers HC Kyle Shanahan announced QB Brandon Allen will start Sunday against the Packers in place of the injured Brock Purdy. (Adam Schefter on X)

FFToday's Take: The 49ers will be without their starting quarterback for Week 12's matchup against the Packers. Purdy was limited Wednesday and Thursday before missing practice on Friday. Expect a lot of Christian McCaffrey this week with Allen at the helm who last completed a pass in the league during Week 9 of the 2022 season. This quarterback situation will downgrade all of the skill position players in the 49ers offense.
