When A.J. Brown was traded, the NFL community said the entire Titans offense will rely on Derrick Henry and they struck gold again as Henry ran the ball more times (349) than any other running back in the league. Henry amassed 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games. The power back also got involved in the pass attack by hauling in 33 receptions for 398 yards. Henry recorded the fourth-most fantasy points among running backs with 304.6 overall and 19.0 per game.
The running back position is being devalued by the league right now making true workhorse backs hard to come by. There are only a few elite ones, while the rest are interchangeable. Luckily for the Titans, Henry is one of those elites and is expected to stay in that tier this season.
It's uncertain if 2022's No.3 fantasy RB Josh Jacobs will replicate his anomaly of a season, but No. 1 Austin Ekeler and No. 2 Christian McCaffrey should maintain their status due to their receiving abilities. If head coach Mike Vrabel continues to use Henry in the passing game, the running back is capable of finishing No. 1 in fantasy. His age (29) and perhaps more importantly the workload is starting to become a concern and Henry as piled up three seasons of over 300 carries. Still, the TD upside and projected volume makes him an easy Top 10 running back selection.

Keaton Mitchell return expected in-season Won't be ready for training camp By: Mike Krueger | Wed May 22, 2:42 pm
| | Ravens HC John Harbaugh said RB Keaton Mitchell, is “on schedule” in his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 15, but he will not be back for training camp, and he is not expected back until “sometime during the season. It’s not like right around the corner.”
FFToday's Take: A mid-season return is going to make Mitchell difficult to select in re-draft leagues unless you have IR spots. Expect Justice Hill to see the change-of-pace carries behind Derrick Henry until Mitchell is ready for action.
| Ravens land RB Derrick Henry, two-year deal $16 million deal By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 12, 12:41 pm
| | Free-agent Derrick Henry is signing a two-year, $16 million deal worth up to $20 million, including $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year with the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN.
The King now will play in the Queen City. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Ravens reportedly tried to trade for Henry last season but now they get him in free agency. This move makes sense from an offensive standpoint given the running philosophy of the Ravens. Henry is 30 years old with a lot of carries (2030) under his belt but he managed to play in all 17 games last season. With Keaton Mitchell working back from a knee injury, Henry should lead the Ravens' running backs in touches as long as he remains healthy.
| No RBs expected to the get the franchise tag Deep free agent RB class in 2024 By: Mike Krueger | Mon Feb 26, 2:53 pm
| | This offseason stands in contrast to 2023, when Josh Jacobs, Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard received franchise tags. This offseason, it appears no RBs will be tagged, making this one of the finest and deepest RB classes in the history of free agency. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The 2024 free agent RB class is stacked with Jacobs, Barkley, Pollard, Derrick Henry and Austin Ekeler. The question is, what kind of deals are these veterans going to get? We've seen the market slowly dry up for veteran RBs over the last few years with Jacobs and Barkley settling for one-year deals just last season. Alvin Kamara and Aaron Jones are also cut candidates given the money their going to count against the salary cap this season.
