2020 Outlook
Depth Chart
Howard's one-year stint with the Eagles was cut short due to a shoulder injury that cost him six games in the regular season. Howard was used sparingly with the Eagles as part of the running back rotation utilized by Doug Pederson. Despite this fact, he did post the second best YPC average of his career and did reach the end zone seven times.

The Dolphins signed Howard to a two-year, $10 million deal with nearly $5 million guaranteed. Although they did trade with the 49ers later in the offseason to acquire Matt Breida, Howard's size and contract make him the front runner to be the lead back in an offense that is in dire need of a running game.

Miami was far and away the worst rushing team in the league last year, posting just five total touchdowns and only 1400 total yards among all of their RBs combined. Howard should give them a boost in the arm, and Howard could be a nice value for a back who could get upwards of 250 touches.

Injury Dolphins release Jordan Howard
No dead money for Miami
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 16, 2:01 pm

Miami Dolphins
Dolphins release Jordan Howard in mutual parting. Flores said he was consummate professional (Barry Jackson on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Howard amassed 33 carries through the first ten weeks of the season and was inactive this week. Salvon Ahmed posted a 21-85-1 line as the lead running back in Week 10 against the Chargers. The Dolphins will not take a dead money hit to their salary cap as a result of the Howard release.

Injury Myles Gaskin headed to IR, Breida misses practice Thu.
Hamstring injury for Breida
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 5, 11:50 am

Miami Dolphins
Matt Breida (hamstring) still missing from Dolphins practice. So looks like Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird (who is practicing with an ankle issue) and Salvon Ahmed the likely troika at Arizona. (Barry Jackson on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Dolphins have run into problems this week at the running back position. With Gaskin headed to IR and Breida missing practice with a hamstring injury, we're looking at Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird as the two main RBs against Arizona. Howard has some TD upside but this is largely a situation to avoid.

Injury Myles Gaskin out three weeks with sprained MCL
Dolphins pick up RB DeAndre Washington from KC
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Nov 3, 4:30 pm

Miami Dolphins
Per source, reason Dolphins acquired RB today is Myles Gaskin has sprained MCL and expected to miss three games (Barry Jackson on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Gaskin has been a solid fantasy RB starter this season especially in PPR leagues. Next up on the depth chart is Matt Brieda Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird. Howard has been inactive recently but should be active this week against the Rams. The Dolphins also made a trade with Kansas City for RB DeAndre Washington.
