| D'Andre Swift not expected to play|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 26, 9:23 am
|Lions' RB D’Andre Swift, listed as questionable for today due to a concussion, is unlikely to play against the Texans, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Lions will once again be without their two best playmakers in Kenny Golladay and Swift. Expect Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson to share the workload against the Texans today. Kerryon is the better option in PPR leagues. The Texans have given up the 2nd most fantasy points to running backs.

Concussion for Swift
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 25, 3:47 pm
|The Lions don't have a lot of star power, and will be with even less when the nation tunes in on Thursday. Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola are out, and Jeff Okudah too.
Also: Amani Oruwariye somehow suffered a back injury this week, even though Detroit hasn't practiced. Additionally, their second-round pick (Swift) is questionable and their fourth-round pick (Stenberg) hasn't played all year. (Kyle Meinke on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Swift missed last week after suffering a concussion in practice. As long as he clears protocol before kickoff he's likely to start. He was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Matthew Stafford is Questionable
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 20, 3:00 pm
|Lions Friday practice report with game designations: D’Andre Swift, Kenny Golladay & Danny Amendola are OUT. Matthew Stafford is QUESTIONABLE (Tim Twentyman on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Lions will be rolling out their JV team against the Panthers this week. Expect Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson to handle most of the running back duties while Marvin Jones Marvin Hall and Quintez Cephus will be the top three wideouts. Stafford is expected to start despite his thumb injury but will have depleted weaponry to aid in his fantasy efforts.
| Kenny Golladay returns to practice Wednesday|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 18, 12:48 pm
|Matthew Stafford is at practice, as promised, but doing absolutely nothing. Didn’t even stretch. Has a small black supportive wrap thing on the thumb of his throwing hand. Did not see him attempt even one pass.
Also out: Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola
Back: Kenny Golladay (Kyle Meinke on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: We'll need to follow Stafford (thumb) progress throughout the week. If he does play, he's likely going to be less than 100 percent. Golladay hasn't played since Week 8 due to a hip injury.
| T.J. Hockenson expected to play|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 15, 7:15 am
|#Lions TE T.J. Hockenson, who popped up on the injury report this week because of his toe, is expected to play today vs. the Washington Football Team, I’m told. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Lions tight end was added to the injury report on Thursday but should be able to gut it out today against Washington. Already down Kenny Golladay, the Lions need all the playmakers they can get.

TE added to injury report with toe issue
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 12, 11:40 pm
|It’s a toe injury for T.J. Hockenson. (ESPN - Michael Rothstein)|
FFToday's Take: Kenny Golladay (hip) also missed another practice Thursday. If both players sit this weekend, it would leave Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola as Matthew Stafford's top target against Washington. Hockenson has been one of the few dependable options at tight end in fantasy this year, so Stafford won't be the only one fielding the pain if he sits. Jesse James would presumably step up in his place and would be a reasonable pivot if Hockenson's owners are forced to go in another direction.

Hip injury for Golladay
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 12, 1:00 pm
|From the pool: Kenny Golladay and T.J. Hockenson both sitting out practice today. Tracy Walker did return and did a little during the portion open to media. Same with Vaitai. Everson Griffen and Nick Williams appeared to do all individual work. (Kyle Meinke on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: It's looking like Golladay is trending towards missing another game with his hip injury. The reason for Hockenson's absence isn't known yet. The Lions tight end has seen 18 targets in the last two weeks and will be on the TE1 radar this week against Washington if he plays.
| Matthew Stafford good to go|
COVID test came back negative this morning
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 8, 8:48 am
|Matthew Stafford's COVID test came back negative this morning and he officially is cleared to start today vs. Minnesota, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Stafford has had multiple negative COVID-19 tests throughout the week. He's missing Kenny Golladay this week but does get a good matchup against a weak Vikings pass defense that's given up 10 passing TDs in their last three games.
| Kenny Golladay out for Week 9 with hip injury|
Golladay left early in Week 8
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 2, 2:20 pm
|#Lions WR Kenny Golladay is expected to be out this week and will be considered week-to-week going forward with a hip injury sustained yesterday, sources say. He’ll have more tests, but that is where it stands now. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay was held catchless on four targets in Week 8 due to leaving early with a hip injury. Quintez Cephus was inactive last week but could be a factor in Golladay's absence. It's worth noting Marvin Hall finished with a 4-113 line on 7 targets against the Colts.
| Kenny Golladay expected to play|
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 27, 7:00 am
|After a strong week of practice, #Lions top WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is set to make his 2020 debut vs. the #AZCardinals, source said. He was listed as questionable. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay mentioned that he wasn't 100 percent but is expected to be out there against the Cardinals in one of the highest total (55) games of the week. He's safe for fantasy owners to start but temper your expectations.
| Kenny Golladay hopeful for Week 3|
Admits he's not 100 percent
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 25, 2:30 pm
|Kenny Golladay: “Definitely feeling a lot better. Wouldn’t say it’s 100 percent, I really wouldn’t even put a percentage on it. I just know I’m not 100 percent. I’m going to do everything I can and hopefully I showed enough (in practice this week) that I can be out there.” (Tim Twentyman on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay has been limited in practice this week with a hamstring injury but appears to be on the right side of questionable. His presence would be a boost to the Lions offense as a whole. Fantasy owners should check the inactive list on Sunday morning, but it's looking like Golladay will be a go in Week 3 against the Cardinals.
| Kenny Golladay returns to practice Wednesday|
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 23, 4:05 pm
|Pro Bowl wide receiver Kenny Golladay took part in practice Wednesday for the first time since injuring his hamstring in practice before Detroit's Week 1 game vs. Chicago. Getting back on the practice field Wednesday is a good first step toward Golladay potentially being able to play in his first contest of the season Sunday in Arizona. (Detroit Lions)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay seems close to returning to game action which is good news for his fantasy owners. He was officially listed as limited in practice Wednesday. He'll be in the WR2 range if given the green light in a game against Arizona with a 54.5 total.
| Golladay to miss practice Thursday|
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 17, 12:45 pm
|Kenny Golladay is in danger of missing his second straight game because of a strained hamstring. Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia said Golladay will not practice Thursday because of the injury he suffered in practice last week. "We’ve seen progress, so we’ll just take it day by day from that standpoint, see how it goes," Patricia said. "But just like I said (before), we don’t want to push something into a bad spot, either." (Detroit Free Press)|
FFToday's Take: Missing a Thursday practice is never a good sign for a player's availability on Sunday. Quintez Cephus (3-43) would get another start if Golladay sits. Cephus led the team in targets (10) in Week 1.
| Kenny Golladay listed as Doubtful|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 11, 4:15 pm
|The #Lions have declared WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) as doubtful for Sunday’s game. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay will likely join Mike Evans a high-profile receivers unable to make their season debut in Week 1. Marvin Hall may get some extra run as a result but fantasy owners will be focused on Marvin Jones and TE T.J. Hockenson.

Missed individual drills on Thursday

|Matthew Stafford's favorite target is dealing with a new hamstring injury three days before the Detroit Lions open the season against the Chicago Bears.
Lions coach Matt Patricia said leading receiver Kenny Golladay suffered a hamstring injury in practice Wednesday that landed him on the injury report. (Detroit Free Press)|
FFToday's Take: Golladay missed individual drills on Thursday. It sounds like he's going to end up as Questionable for the weekend but we should get a clearer picture after practice tomorrow. Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and tight end T.J. Hockenson are next up on the priority list for Matthew Stafford.
